I think it's wonderful that billions of dollars are being spent on luxury megaprojects for the rich and famous. I hope it all works. Saudi Arabia will bring in loads of money but little profit because much of that profit will go towards maintaining these megaprojects at a level of luxury. High dollar luxury translates into high level maintenance.
These megaprojects are not being built for the average everyday Saudi citizen or the average everyday traveler who has to save money for 2 to 3 years to go on a cruise on the Mediterranean Sea or visit Athens or Rome on a once in a lifetime adventure. Most of us won't be able to afford it. That speaks volumes on where the heart of the matter really is.
It's supposed to host scientists from around the world, USA and the Otoman empeir became soo developed they were attracting brains from every corner of the world.

Just because you can build it does not mean you should build it. Oxagon floating city? What could possibly go wrong? "The Line" from a fire fighter point of view is a 170 Km long fire trap from which there will be no escape.
theres fire protection in the entire structure obviously, sprinklers and fire gates, and being in a controlled environment makes it easier to control.

Please these are not mirrors mirrors, it’s the type pf glass that you can’t see what’s inside from the outside it’s a mirror but in the inside it’s actually windows, also what does privacy have to do with it I don’t understand, second of all The line has its own big and small open spaces ares for the animals to across and also there are gonna be projects for the islands of the Neom are going to be improved and also projects at the coast of the line where ppl can go and it’s all connected with all of other projects that they announced like trojena sindalh and oxagon. There are so many and still hasn’t been announced. Another thing is that you’re not in prison nor you’re trapped nor you’re aren’t allowed to go hell no why does everyone think like that there is literally an airport at the end of the line and if u visited the exhibit of the line you’ll see it and they just begin infrastructure work
There will be a lot of dead birds at the foot of this thing. Why does it have to be so tall? It'll be over 120 stories high. I wouldn't want to live in anything that tall. Scary.
Yes,you can go back in 13.century when there were no cars,nor TV,or electricity and go by foot or with horse, 3 hours 5 km through the woods to school.Nobody forces you to live out of woods and caves even now.

Imagine living between those tall narrow walls and how dark it will be, and always travelling in a straight line without going to the outside desert world beyond the walls.
Actually it’s not as scary as it seems when u really think about it and dive in into the project, this project is not a prison
like why everyone is thinking like wth there is an airport a big airport at the end of the line is now being constructed. Islands of the Neom Red sea is some being developed and at the coast of the line there also gonna be projects where ppl can go to the beach, also it’s not fully fully a line! They mentioned that there are gonna be big and small open spaces for the animals to across and also the line will stop at the mountains area and continue after it for the safety of the environment and the mountains area it’s approximately 30 kilometres of the line, and not last but least if u look at the design of how it’s going to look inside the sunlight won’t only shine from above no the line is covered with glass so the sunlight will also gonna shine through these glasses the line mirrors is the type of u can’t see things that are inside the line from the outside but the line residents can see what’s through these mirrors and sunlight go through it so they can also enjoy the views of the sea and mountains where it snows there and in the desert rocks and Wadis. Last thing im gonna mention is that the Neom project is not only The line! The line is the main city yeah but there also other beautiful projects like Trojena, sindelah, Oxagon and they’re all connected with a train btw so yeah go look up it’s really wonderful
@@haithem1320 there always going to be envious haters who want to make it sound like it's a horrible city project. Just look at the majority of the world's cities which have and are still destroying 95% of the environment and now when the Saudis are trying to do it right from the start, they're hating and complaining. Sure maybe their feeble small minds couldn't come up with such a cool interesting and different innovated project. I'd give it a try, and I hope it succeeds in most of its goals, if not all of them, but nowhere is perfect. These people will bring up a few issues and make them seem huge when they themselves are living in places that are worse but they won't admit it much less even know about it. Dogs will always bark. Just avoid the goofs. No offence peace and love for all 🤗 ♥

So, yeah, The Line is definitely not going to happen. That's an unrealistic pipe-dream that some marketers sold them. The design is rife with problems and mistakes. It would likely be the most unhealthy city to live in, and man, when another pandemic hits... like, the design is so bad, somebody or many somebodies are getting scammed.
It's happening already, didn't you see that in the video? It's utterly, appalling the lack of vision this generation has.
@@ivanj.conway9919 They dug part of a trench. That doesn't mean it's going to happen. And I have a big ambitious level of vision, but you also have to be a realist in these matters. Do you know how common incompleted dead-projects are in the Middle East? Very common. This project also went from Half a Trillion to a full Trillion, on top of needing more investors, they'll never get enough investment. The Line is dead on arrival.

Here in the US, we let all that wealth accumulate in the top 1% of our country, while they build their luxurious mansions with gold toilet seats, the rest of the country's infrastructure is failing and people are struggling. While other countries around the world are bravely moving forward to improve their citizens' lives with engineering feats like this. Our country will be left behind in the dust with the wealthy, after sucking this country dry, will be moving to these places.

Many engineers are laughing at what a hopeless design The Line is, Architects also have examined it and have no faith it's feasible, and I'm an environmentalist, that's my field, and I assure you no competent people in my field were consulted. It's a doomed project. Also, the royal family of Saudi Arabia don't give a crap about their citizens. And yes, the US has gross wealth inequality and we have a lot of unqualified people in seats of power, but overall, the future of the U.S. still remains bright.

I'm normally not a negative person but none of this is going to work, you're never going to get megacity like any of these working well together, unless you plan perfectly and execute perfectly, something will go wrong, they'll go massively over budget and not deliver on time.

So they are burning fossil fuels to create this project. I don’t see how this city will last more than 50 years as the materials will not last very long. Eventually they will run into so many problems with maintaining the line from breaking down especially with so much heat you are having to deal with in the desert. Concrete is not a substitute for traditional stone mason work which lasts for thousands of years. Modern methods of construction cannot compare to old methods of construction.

This seems like a really awful, poorly planned boondoggle. Energy? Magic clean energy. Air handling? Uhhh, fans? Food, clothing, daily needs? By trucks or trains? Not in design that I see. Air pollution? None! Just awful concept, with no details.
