You see Sam at world cup ? Last day, end of the night finals.. He and Zach were running after Leroy burnouts and pulling in the beams to and back after they take the American flags out.. Sam was running up and back all night, and all day.. Not the slightest sign of tiring, or aches or pains...
@@danerasmussen6468Excuse me? That almost sounds like an insult pointed at Mr. Sam. Yeah Sam is the grandparent everyone dreams they could have! The man had tons of knowledge. Good job Coop! This is what I would call a cattle dog kind of interview. You sit back, and let Sam stroll down memory lane, and just act like a bumper to keep him steered in the right direction without slowing him down.
I’m so glad you did this with Sam. Everyone’s favorite grandpa! So much wisdom out of this man and so humble in his knowledge. I’m glad he’s getting the spotlight. Tell him he needs to write his book!!! Thanks Coop! btw, audio is pretty good thru an iPhone.
I do miss the days of Cleetus, James and Coop. Opening mail and avoiding any sort of sharp insterments was a challenge... everytime. Sam is a nice man. Nice to see Coop spending some time chatting him up. 😊
Sam is such an interesting guy. An old school guy, yet so not stuck in his old ways like a lot of people his age. He's such a positive dude. I'd love to see him on here again.
Had the opportunity to meet Sam at TX2K and just asking him about his products lead to a 10 minute conversation of unforgettable knowledge and passion for his work that this man has. Treated me like a friend after seconds of me meeting him, I’ll never forget that!!
Sam mentioned he still has many of his original set of tools,, I'm 75 and still have and use tools from my original set of Craftsman I bought for $149.00 in 1968. Good tools are lifetime investment and they'll usually give you good service if you take care of them. Thanks to Cleetus, Sam has become and continues to be legendary and we're so happy he's a part of the Freedom Factory Team. I just finished watching the video and this is the first one I saw from Bogetti Studios. You absolutely knocked it out of the park. I loved seeing Sam and hearing his stories. Sam is probably about 10 years older than I am but I remember a lot of the same things just not quite as early. We grew up in a great time and got to see some amazing things happen. I’ll always be grateful that I grew up during these times. I’d love to chat with Sam sometime. We would have a lot in common. He’s a great guy and I can relate to his experiences. Thanks for the videos. I look forward to seeing more. You are all a great bunch of people and are very blessed to experience what you’re doing. Thank you.

Thanks Cooper, for getting Sams memories recorded. Only Complaint I have. It ended too soon! I would love to hear a few more hours from Sam.
I could listen to him talk all day. I love listening to old guys tell stories. My grandpa has tons of stories like this from back in the day that he'll go on and on about. Its so cool to hear
These are fantastic change of pace from the typical videos with this crew. If you're looking for suggestions, love to see an interview with Steve Morris. Hes very generous with his knowledge of engines but it would be great to hear more about himself.
Sam is a good dude. Ain't many fellas like him left. I'm 44 and when I was growing up we had lots of Sam's. Their knowledge and experience are more valuable than anything. Soak it up.
Awesome Interview! Sam is such a positive energy force and when I watch videos with him its like my granddad is back with us for a bit. Its crazy how much he reminds me of him. So glad he's crossed paths with good people and has such an interesting history to share!
Awesome chat, I've been hanging out waiting for someone to interview Sam, and I just loved it, Sam is such a very humble man, and is now such a huge part of the Cleetus team and show, thank you Coop and Sam.

Cooper thank you so much for doing this one. The work you and Cleetus are doing to immortalize someone like Sam and his words is so important to car culture. You are absolutely killing it with these sit downs and I can’t wait to see what is next!
I seriously love this old man he is literally an icon. Really, though he is awesome. And the things that you guys have done to help him with his line of products is just awesome! Good man Sam good man.
Thanks Cooper for doing this side of it! I’ve been waiting to hear backstories for a long time, but of course I’m a “history” person. I love to hear how and why someone became what they did.
Cooper, First of all, I must tell you that you have found your "niche" (or "specialty" if you will) doing these interviews. Out of all the podcasts I've followed, this is by far the benchmark for others. Years ago, following Garret around with a camera did your talent no justice. Someday, when you are at some award ceremony and winning an award for best podcast or interview- remember I said it first. As for Mr. Sam, You have immortalized one of the most beloved, yet humble people on the planet. Let's face it, I have NEVER seen a negative comment about the man, ever. Don't get me wrong, so far, every interview on your new forum has been great, but this is BY FAR the best of them. Thank You Both, for this episode- I hope there will be more of them! Have a Blessed Day, Be Safe, and Have Fun!
Love this!! He’s so interesting, and I’d love to hear more of his stories. Glad he’s experiencing even more things at his age. He’s so humble and just so knowledgeable.
Hearing them talk about Smokey Yunick brought back a lot of memories for me. I worked at McLaren Engines in Livonia Michigan back in the 80's. I mostly ran engine development testing for GM and one project that I got to work on was a Smokey Yunick hot vapor engine. It was a GM 4 cylinder with Smokies hot vapor setup on it, I believe it was 1986 or 1987, so long ago it can't remember exactly. Without a doubt McLaren was one of the best jobs I have ever had, so many interesting projects and great people. Anyway, I am loving hearing Sam talk about his life experiences.
Copper this is the best podcast I have ever listen to and all it was was Sam talking about his life it was like I was in a trans and I didn't want it to finish I got to give Sam and you a BIG tums UP this podcast is what a podcast sopost to be I had so much fun and I wanna say thank you to you and specially to Sam you guys killed it.
The most important thing I took from this, was right at the beginning. Sam said it and I believe it, this field has a competitive attitude but then he helps her and she helps them and they help everyone else. "Being #1" is not as important as "being there", for someone else. You see it time and again in pretty much every video and every channel. Humbling man.
Having a neighbor like Sam must be awesome ! This man isn’t only a fountain of knowledge but he is such a cool old timer, coop part 2 gotta be in your list already 👌🏼
Sam is the man! Crazy thing is , I grew up in Asheville ,NC. That chevy store turned into a Honda dealer. Apple Tree Honda. I worked there for many years.
Car communities and car friends are something special to behold. If there's a group of people we'll go the extra mile for and not bat an eye, it's them. Cheers to Sam for bringing that up.
Sams just an absolute legend. I am so glad hes found his way into the Cleetus channel. He no Ed, he's just Sam! Also I think your killing it with these podcasts!
Cooper just keep doing what you're doing because these are great, and Sam is a natural. If you, Sam, Cleetus etc ever come over to the UK you will have a lot of fans here too who will definitely come up and speak to you.
Best podcast yet imo coop don’t get to focused on the audio the way you are doing it is much more realistic than sitting in a room with 10k worth of mics I’d rather watch this all day long
I can really relate to Sam's history. I started working on my Dad's cars, then went to Automotive at College, then worked in the muffler business, then did some Controls engineering (my fathers business), then did machine shop (die makers apprentice), then Escavating business, then back to Engineering, bought my father's business, then went to work for GM doing Controls Engineering.
Audio was hard on this one, fighting a big room with echoes. But as always don’t forget to like comment and subscribe so we can afford a real studio!
We're here for the content, Coop! Thanks for putting these together.
I live right outside Asheville N.C. It's Apple Tree Honda now.
Thanks also 👍
Sounds fine great pod cast
It don't matter if the content is good
I am convinced Garrett has added years to Sams life and Sam has added so many fans and knowledge to Mcfarland racing

Have a Blessed Day, Be Safe, and Have Fun!
Love this!! He’s so interesting, and I’d love to hear more of his stories. Glad he’s experiencing even more things at his age. He’s so humble and just so knowledgeable.
Sam is such an awesome guy! I love getting to talk with old timers like him that have seen and done so many things in life!
I could listen to you fellas for another hour or two easy. Can't wait for Sam part 2. I think you got somethin here Coop
This is so cool. Hearing Sam stories is so good. I could listen to him all day
Sam reminds me so much of late father. Great humble guy. "The race on Sunday sell on Monday" days seem like they are gone unfortunately.
Thank you so much Cooper for bringing Mr. Sam to the Podcast. It was such a joy to hear you guys talk!
Car communities and car friends are something special to behold. If there's a group of people we'll go the extra mile for and not bat an eye, it's them. Cheers to Sam for bringing that up.
I would love to see Sam write a book! I would buy it!
me too
Absolute power house of good energy. Mr.Sam is a legend we need to protect at all cost.
Can't wait to have the time to sit down and listen to this one
Sams knowledge is just next level. Different to modern day - but more pure and more back to basics that matter. Love it.
Best podcast yet imo coop don’t get to focused on the audio the way you are doing it is much more realistic than sitting in a room with 10k worth of mics I’d rather watch this all day long
Sam is a national treasure! And I’m thankful he has had a little spotlight put on him cause he shines so bright
Perfect timing getting to listen to my new favorite podcast on my way home and to top it off it’s with Sam ahh great morning
Yes indeed!
I grew up next door to Sam. Much respect to that man for his wealth of knowledge and humble demenear.
I haven't even started this one and I already know it's my favorite. Sam is the man!
Such an awesome guest. Thanks for letting Sam tell his story.
Great to hear you Sam! I'm 71 and know about everything that you has talked about, I can fully relate! Keep on doing what you do and have fun!
Sam is an inspiration. If I live a 1/4 or his life I’ll be a happy man. ❤
