- After I DIY turned my car to Pikachu, it's time for 10 Outrageous car modifications. I customized the car horn sound. I gilded custom emblems in 24k gold. I make a custom stick shift knob and custom license plate cover. I use reflective tape for semi trucks to mod the hubcaps. I make Pokeball seat covers and a Pokeball horn button and Pokeball door projector lights. Oh and we try to make Pikachu shoot electricity through his cheeks with a remote control. Ash Ketchum and Misty would be proud. This is not the first time you've seen me mod my car. I had to clean it a bunch because previously, I transformed my car to a green egg, a giant chia pet, covered in astro turf, a drivable fidget toy with 9,000 PopSockets and a temperature sensitive mood ring.

Love the car but you turned your steering wheel into a claymore. If you are going to drive like that take the airbag fuse out.

For a girl, I am a great driver. I am an offensive driver. I make the moves, I do not only react to them. That is not to say that I don't occasionally make mistakes. I do. But I am not afraid of driving which def helps.
For the steering wheel thing, if you have an airbag, I would remove it, since you don't want it to be embedded into you if you get into an car accident.
I had this exact same comment. Ali, please be safe and remove the steering wheel clay if your airbag is under there!

I think embedded would be best case scenario too. I'm not super familiar with the clay used, but if it cures brittle the whole thing turns into a shrapnel blaster

100% agree. Hopefully not there. Steering wheel looks super rad but safety first!
Be careful with that steering wheel. If the airbag goes off your mod can become shrapnel.
A Claymore, if you will
Also, the insurance will probably use it as an excuse to save as much as they can.
Anything covering the middle of the steering wheel is very likely over an airbag, which means it will get fired into your face like a mortar in the event the airbag goes off, Highly recommend removing anything covering the airbag

Model Magic dries soft. It just stops being malleable. Once dry it sort of crumbles and breaks apart if you try to bend or move it.
That would be a Pikachu special move.
Agreed... highly suggest removing the clay you put on the "horn" area of the steering wheel.

Please restore the steering wheel to stock with the airbag in there You're basically making the land mine.
So worth it! Small detail but you may want to redesign the steering wheel decal so it doesn't hurt you if you get in a car accident. Freaking amazing car!

Hate to tell you this Ali but you've secretly been a car person for a while now. Love how this came out, only suggestion from a safety stand point... Maybe a vinyl wrap over the airbag cover instead of the modeling clay.

GG creating what is essentially a claymore in your face
Honestly, really well done with 3d printing. As someone who's been 3d printing for years it's a messy process filled with failed prints, wasted time and hours of troubleshooting trying to figure out what you did wrong. You've taken to it a LOT better than I did at the beginning!
The absolute best part of this channel is the unwavering support of Christine. It is so draining to be a person who doesn't live life "normally" and struggle with the constant pull of be myself or be "normal". It is awesome every time you ask her to help you with the next "weird thing" and she supports it no questions. Most people never find out how powerful that can be, and they never get to reach their full potential. Keep it up! ❤

It’s adorable how “normal” your partner is and really cute how they put up with your antics. My partner, too, swims deep in the neurodivergence that is my 200mph brain. He too smiles sweetly as I zip from idea to idea with no hint of direction.

It’s such an adorable little car, but you don’t really see many in the states. I feel so lucky I was able to nab one recently!

Mine is a 2010 with 315000 miles on it and still going strong. Great little cars.
I have a 2008 Vauxhall Corsa that only has 48,000 miles on the clock! (I live in the U.K. haha!) It’s been earmarked for my now 17 year old since he was a toddler and I’m excited to see him drive off in it one day soon. I sent him this video as inspiration! The corsa is pretty much identical to the Yaris in terms of size and what it came with and they are brilliant little cars, especially if they were bought with a few added specs on them. Mine still doesn’t feel cheap or ‘super old’ thanks to the half leather seats and the shiny plastic bits on the dash. (I got a deal on the demo car when I bought it new, it came with all the added extras and the ‘design’ spec. All of this is kinda handy since it’ll likely be on the road forever with how few miles I drive each year! 😂 We swapped out the audio unit recently so now it even has touch screen internet enabled bits in it. They really are wonderfully built versatile little cars, cheap to insure and easy to drive too! 👍
Got to witness Ali learning about the ignition/steering lock connection 😅
For those that don't know: if the wheel is turned while the key isn't in the ignition, the wheel will click into a steering lock notch. And then when you put the key in and try to turn it, the tension will prevent you from turning the key, so you have to turn the wheel slightly to relieve this tension before the ignition will turn.
Critically you need to turn the wheel more in the same direction as it was originally turned to take the tension off the lock. If you try and turn it back to the center position you will end up binding the lock even harder.
This is fantastic! I love that this art was spread out, it meant more outrageousness!
Please dont put things ontop of the airbag in the middle of the steering wheel because it can turn in to a projectile in to your face when getting in an accident.

The camera was nervous of focussing too close to the taser.
Such a warm and expressive voice. Like a magic sweet Umpa Lumpa, that is just so sweat sounding. You’re in Hollywood you would be perfect for voice work. That voice is magic. Kind, sweat, smart, funny, I love it.
I'm not a 3D printer, so take my advice with a grain of salt, but I suspect that at least some of your issues may have been caused by the giant roll of filament someone haphazardly attached to the top of your printer, putting all sorts of exciting torques and unexpected inertia into a machine that definitely benefits from being as stable and rigid as possible 😂
Love the way the project turned out though! It's always so fun watching your excitement when people appreciate the work you did and the joy you express when sharing it!
LOTS of printers have the spool up high like that. As log as it isn't attached to a part that moves, there is no issue. Even then, not really an issue. A well known 3D printer UA-camr hung a printer mid-air from a rope and the prints came out the same as with it sitting on a table.
I love those multi part long videos so much more than the shorts or even the "usual 10-20 minute" videos which show the whole projest as one part!! ❤
I got so excited to see how pikachu is coming along! I felt way more connected to the project than usually :)

2 part series is worth it! This was super epic, and you didn’t have to panic 24/7 about not having enough time! Also I’d remove what’s on the steering wheel spot, it’s rly cool but I worry about it hurting you if you got into an accident, I’d hate for your epic creation to hurt you!

For ease of 3d printing (and multiple colors) the Bambu X1C is great. I finally bought one and I'm sad it took this long
And print atleast 2 as fast and a lot better print quality

You can remake the steering wheel cover from fabric and thin upholstery foam to get the same look without the airbag danger other comments have mentioned.
Yeah, also came here to say to remove the bit that's covering the airbag. You did leave the gaps so it might stay attached, but I'd not risk it.

Just wanted to say. Not only did I watch the whole tear down video, then the painting video, THEN THIS VIDEO. But, when I was 3/4 through this video, one of my kids said they wanted to see it, and I made them sit through all three videos. So I watched them all again! I've definitely been enjoying the longer form videos and seeing all the struggles and successes.
Lastly, there is no room to fit in when you're so busy being Outrageous, keep on being weird with the rest of us! ❤
