I really like them. I think you could have just sealed them with modge podge or a sealer that dries quicker. We learn from our mistakes. Have a blessed day Nicole ❤

@@TheBlueElephantGifts sure can. The brush marks should disappear when you put the epoxy on.
Wait I may have just confused myself. Are you talking about sealing it with mod podge before I put the resin on or sealing the piece when it’s finished?
@@TheBlueElephantGifts no I was talking about before the resin. I would use a sealer specifically for the final seal. I'm sorry I should have made that clear.

They turned out really pretty! I love those stickers! I have some eco but have been procrastinating on trying it.
Thank you Valerie ❤️❤️🥰 I like working with it. Resin is still my favorite though. Just make sure that you have everything ready to go before you start to mix it and you should be ok. Also have an extra mold laying around incase you have left overs

U did an amazing job with the marbling & stickers jewel thing•a•ma•jigs, were stunning! So I have some type of jesmonite/aqua cast stuff I had found b4 it was really avail in the U.S. but found it to be super brittle & don’t care for the dull finish. Wasn’t until watching the more recent videos of everyone using it that it had to be sealed. So is it being sealed to give it shine & strength or simply to prevent it from being absorbent? Also if u sealed it b4 u applied the resin, could u still apply resin over the sealer? Sounds like a stupid question out loud I know. I understand that the resin was technically to seal it but considering what happened to ur pieces, I’m trying to work it all out in my brain? If u would’ve put resin down, allowed it to cure then placed the stickers, then domed it, would it still have discolored n gotten the bubbles? How bout if u threw it in a curing machine or on a curing mat to absorb the moisture? Sorry u don’t have to actually answer all that but this is why I still don’t F with the resincrete whatever it’s called🤬why does it have so many freakin names?!
lol so I am still fairly new to using it but have watched a ton of videos on it so here goes…you don’t have to seal it unless it’s being used outside, in moisture prone areas, and I think if you were to use it for candles (not 100% on the last one). The purpose of sealing it is because it’s porous.
I don’t think that your eco casting powder should be brittle when it’s finished and completely cured. I do know that some have an expiration date so maybe check into that. Or you may have mixed it wrong.
I’m not sure about sealing it before pouring the resin. Idk if the resin would adhere properly to the sealer as there are different kinds. And it isn’t a stupid question.
If I would have applied a small amount of resin over the eco resin and let it cure before applying the stickers and final layer it still would have changed color but it would have done all of it as opposed to just where the negative areas were. The ‘discoloration’ is more like if you were to put fabric in resin and the color darkens/ intensifies, if you know what I mean. The bubbles wouldn’t have been an issue doing it this way because that first thin layer of resin would have solved the issue before it became one.
Idk about it going in a curing machine as I no longer have one. So I can’t answer that.

It's not a problem at all. The questions that you guys ask gets me thinking of things that I may not have without you asking. In turn gives me ideas or solves problems that I had because you give me a different way of thinking. Besides all of that aside that is what we are here for, to help each other out. In my opinion anyway.
