10 years later, i'm still talking about this
This was my favorite, the soloists still blow me away.
Best ballad of 2010. I still come back and watch it all the time. SO glad I got to see this live.. twice. (:
Kudos to the music teacher who put this together.
This choir was one of thee best in the state that year. im so glad i got to see it live. this is truly going down as a midwest show choir relic!
I was at this performance and I have to say this is the second song that has ever moved me to tears. In the audience it was practically life changing. The way the two leads looked and sounded...especially when they reached toward each other...it gives me shivers just to mention it.
saw them a couple times, they came to our competition and we to theirs...amazing!!!
This is a duet between Galadriel and Legolas from Lord of the Rings, the Musical, which I was most fortunate to see in London 2 years ago! It's a beautiful stage show, and if you ever get the chance to see it, you most definitely should!
This is a wonderful interpretation of the song, and the soloists are phenomenal...must get this sheet music!
The WHOLE entire song was too amazing for words. The end made me cry!!! BEAUTIFUL.
Just saw this at bishop luers before finals and in finals. Holy. Cow. Chills chills like crazy. I could listen to her sing that a million times. No kidding around in this entire show. Every single number was phenomenal in this show and I never got bored with it. Congrats on an incredible show this year.
I still can't believe I got to be apart of this amazing show choir production.
You kids from Bishop Luers are amazing! Saw you twice this season and was blown away by your talent. The Lothhlorien performance is especially moving.
unbelieveable in person!! I preformed right before them in night show at Ben davis and myself and a friend ran to get in just to watch this ballad.. Met the soloest and I couldn't praise her enough. This is beautiful everytime. I can't get enough!
i was lucky enough i got to see them do this live!! AMAZING!

This is SO amazing. I must have seen it 1,000 times already. :)
we just went to the Mooresville Invitational and you won the Grand Champion in the Championship division. You guys did amazing especially in this song. It gave us all cold chills. the soloists are amazing especially Hannah Schindler. AMAZING!
That was unbelieveable. I'm basically speechless.
gotta get my comment in before the video gets taken down. haha. this whole show was absolutely marvelous. all smiles watching it from beginning to end. cold chills on the ballad. a very fun guys and girls number. very beautiful.
You guys really did do great, you were fun to compete against at state. Can't wait to do it again next year.
This is absolutely gorgeous! Thank you SO much for doing this song! I don't get to see you guys b/c I'm an alum and we never competed against you back then, so THANK YOU to whoever put this up as well.
i watched you in Orlando and was blow away by that male soloist! fantasic job :)
Female soloist= Best soloist ever.
this is fantastic! great job
I
So good!
That was awesome!
Legolas's singer is a little harsh and loud. The character of Legolas is supposed to be in complete awe of Galadriel, but here he seems a little too "Hey look at me." Galadriel did a fantastic job though :D
He is horrible!
@prgacusa It also played in Toronto Canada.
And where did you find the sheet music for the band
What's this song from? and it's absolutely BEAUTIFUL.
codexblue13 the lord of the rings broadway show (nine years later)
The galadriel part is done very well, the chorus was great, the legolas part was good, but it occasionally felt too loud and harsh for the part, but if that was the direction, then go ahead.
holy shit the guy singing Legolas' part doesn't understand that this is supposed to be a very reflective song. he's got a powerful voice but that's not what this song calls for until Galadriel comes in and even then it's got a certain grace. He's singing like a dwarf not an elf.
Ah, auto tune!!! The singer's are too good to have used auto tune. Why did who ever mix the sound use auto tune?! I think the voices are very strong, I love the girl's voice but there's severe auto tuning issues.! :(
Commendable effort with the chorus - even though it sounds like she was nervous the lead female is seriously talented. The guy was...aggressive and kinda flat. I skipped to the female solo after a couple of seconds.
I did think he shouted. But he did convey the message of the song well. But the fact that he resembles Taylor Lautner doesn't help. Lol.
@Curlytop96503 While I do agree that the male soloist is very talented, just because this is a "powerful" song does not mean that parts need to be shouted, there can be power at a lower sound level. Also, even though he is a very talented vocalist, he did not blend very well with the rest of the chorus, or maybe they didn't blend well with him. However, the chorus and the soloists were both performed the song well.
