Thanks Matt for the comment, i was going to do the same thing as you did with your Grain Elevator but because i have to work out where this is to be located and just in case this is not along a wall i decided to do it this way cheers Robert
Great Job on all your Videos!!!! I just finished the Walther's Grain Elevator Kit. After I painted the silos with a concrete Grey, I mixed some Burnt Umber, some Black and White. Watered down a bit and Brushed the Silos horizontal. It came out really good. I seen a guy do it on here so I tried it. Awesome Work ! Subscribed !!!!!!
***** I will Robert. I have 3 young Sons, so a lot of my work is taking extra long, but I have my kids interested in it. Also, Did you ever check out Lex Parker on You Tube or google him. I learned everything form him. Probably one of the best Modelers I ever seen. His work and detail is Incredible, but he spends hours on small pieces. builds everything from scratch O scale. Look him up if you get a chance and check out his waterfalls also... Happy Holiday's Scott
Scott i have watched a lot of Lex Parker on you tube and your right he is one awesome modeller. And i know what you mean about the three little one's but good to see them interested cheers Robert
Yes gray-ish would work but i wanted to get a old looking color and also snow every where. This is the scene completed just need some people to finish this off as you said cheers. ua-cam.com/video/mY0bZQSC6kg/v-deo.html
Nice end product. Have a question. Why don't you use paint like Krylon Fusion Paint? It's designed for plastice and most any other material, it's in the large cans, and it costs only $5 a can. Last time I priced the paint in those small cans from the hobby store, they were just about the same price. With the paint I get at the hardware store I save a lpt of money and the can has a very forgiving spray pattern.... Just a suggestion because I am cheep.....
David i use a spray called Rust oleum now and this is in a bigger can and works well with plastic, the Krylon fusion paint is very hard to get here. Also i use the Tamiya spray cans only for the colours i need at the time cheers Robert
Excellent, I have been waiting on this update :) Really appreciate the live shots to, you know, it just really adds to seeing what is being modeled.

I would think the silos would be more gray-ish. Need more detail ( bushes and weeds). Maybe some figures on the roof doing some work.
Yes gray-ish would work but i wanted to get a old looking color and also snow every where.
This is the scene completed just need some people to finish this off as you said cheers.

Great job, thanks for sharing. I've got a grain elevator kit on order now. Do you find the spray cans do a good job? Or would you prefer an airbrush?
Richard i have a airbrush but decided to use the spray cans for something different but i think it woujd have been cheaper Airbrushing cheers Robert

Around here Rustoleum and Krylon are interchangable. I use both.
How did you in install the windows after everything was glued and painted? This is my first kit I’m doing btw
There was enough room to put the windows on before i put the roof on cheers Robert
Is it okay to use water color also
Yes you could use water colours cheers Robert
