If I had a nickel for every time there was a"problematic combo with that one mana black cat that loops things with your graveyard" I'd have two nickles! Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.
Neat layers and stack trick, this only works because auras entering while not being cast don't target meaning there isn't a need for a target to exist beforehand like would be necessary if this was anything else as you can't target something that hasn't been created yet
If screams from within is in your decks and you include blue then Polymorphists Jest is a great way to not only wipe an opponents board but also set the enchantment up early or get it off an opponents creature that got buffed beyond death. You can also use a creature that can make itself an X/1 with an activated ability to get these off at instant speed.
Aaah, the old infinite combo. My fav. I've still got decks from 20 years ago centered around infinite combos. I even have one deck that can play every card in every players library on one turn - mind you, the setup is quite complicated, but doable.
i have a kinda similar combo also i fear it only works in arena as im not quite sure the cards you need are actually printed. you take peregrin took, a legendary from the lord of the rings set that creates a food token whenever another token is created that also has a ability to sacrifice 3 food tokens for one card draw and combine it with experimental confectioner, a creature that creates a 1/1 rat that cant block whenever a food is sacrificed. now you just trigger tooks ability, sacrificing 3 food, creating 3 rats, creating those rats then creates 3 food and you now have infinite free card draw that also makes 1/1 tokens that combine with stuff like mirkwood bats from the lotr set that deal damage whenever a token is created or destroyed or similar. its a little annoying to get going but once its started, its extremely fun to either drown your enemy in rats or kill them from max life in one turn because a single cycle of this with mirkwood bats deals like 9 damage.
Make sure you have at least one 2/2 creature out to otherwise you have to kill warehouse tabby to exit the infinite loop. If you have two warehouse tabby out and no other creatures, this infinite loop would result in a draw because you can't exit it.
The literal only thing holding it back is that Screams From Within is uncommon, not common. I found a fix for that, though: "Reins of the Vinesteed + Viscera Seer"
Use 2 warehouse tabbies and slowly amass an army of rats, then when you want to stop the combo stick it on an opponent's creature with 2 or more toughness to weaken it
If the rats could block I'd consider doing it in my enchantress deck, but cutting two cards for this two... still hella run it if i was on budget, 100%
It would have been so much better if one of them was a "may" effect as then you could draw your whole deck if you didn't have the other guy, but one deck out

It has counted since at least Kaldheim because I know that was around when I started and was pissed that Sarulf activated off of imaginary cards that vanish when they leave the field counting towards its "when Graveyard" shenanigans.
Saw this and thought "hey this might be a cool way to make a cheap modern deck" I play pioneer mainly, but this is the SUPER non-optimal list I came up with while trying to stay budget 4 Warehouse Tabby 4 Screams From Within 4 Grim Guardian 4 Duress (Switch for Thoughtseize if you can, like I said, budget) 4 Wicked Visitor 4 Deadly Dispute 4 Sign in Blood 4 Ego Drain 4 Faerie Dreamthief 24 Swamp
enchant the rat, rat dies, screams from within follows to the graveyard making a new rat, screams from within triggers returning to the battlefield, target the rat. now you have infinite creatures and enchantments entering the battlefield and being destroyed

or you can have two cats and crate two rats everytime, so you always have extra rats to target
Having another 1/1 creature or having played a single other enchantment would solve this

Also works w Reins of the Vinesteed, making the entire combo available at common. It’s found a nice home in my Ravenous Squirrel PDH deck.
