Chris Green holds the world record for the fastest marathon in a Rhino costume took part and set a new record of the farthest distance run in a Rhino costume - 58.4km
thanks for sharing this story! I found running at 30 and i thought that was late haha. Love seeing people like this getting out there and enjoying this sport
I am a sikh from India who has been following you and your journey for a little over 2 years! I am very inspired by your journey Ben and I must truly say that your pronunciation of samosa and chole bhature were commendable! love from India!!
Great video Ben. I’ve had a little fall out with running since I ran a half in September. Had Covid in the summer, forced myself to run the half when a bit weak (1:54:32 though so not too bad for a first one), but then have struggled ever since. I watched some of your videos again, as when I first started running, and have been able to get out a few times over the last week. So thanks again for inspiring to get out there (for the second time!). Your impact on people’s lives is huge, buddy.
Congrats on your races! What an inspirational story. I was encouraged into trying ultras by a 70 something year old, who had only started running in his 60s, so Fauja is incredible! Loved the on course kiss.
Just finished my first marathon on the weekend. I'm bloody sore, but satisfied given it was my first. The bug has definitely bitten, looking for my next one to enter! Thanks for all the content
Great video Ben, Fauja Singh is an absolute inspiration. This cheered me up a lot as been unwell with illness recently. Would have loved to come down!!
Ugh, I've missed many runs from migraines. I know you probably just want to curl up in a dark room, but I found walks on flat gentle quiet trails with a DARK pair of sunglasses made me feel better. Best wishes!
Hey Ben. I entered a marathon for Friday only for fun etc butim so nervous. I've done the miles but just can't get out of being nervous! Do u have tips? I get worried Incase I don't finish etc
If they can't prove his age then why don't they look at the ages of his children? His children should be in their 70s or 80s and his grandchildren should be in their 30s or 40s? He should easily have great grandchildren
@@BenParkes I did thank you. you can see me in the orange hoodie right at the end when Sarah finishes. My first ever event and inspired to do more and maybe full one next time
Should steady runs be that fast , I always thought it was a bit faster than easy but you wouldn’t be out of breath at all and you could talk more easily than you were. Looked more like a tempo run that ?

Amazing race and history of it, the medal looked class as well and let's not forget that amazing looking food. 👍🏻🏅
Is it sad that I judge races by the quality/ quantity of their food? 😆
Looked like a great event, congrats on the W Ben

Thank you for sharing the story of that amazing man..I was watching the Desert Solstice as well - ever tried a fixed time event?
I've never ran one.. only ones like this today, where there is a fixed time event.. but I've ran a set distance. Will have to do a proper one soon!
Ben the invincibles react have be giving me knee issues as well. Going to try to run in the pegs to see if it improves
Félicitations 👍👏👏
You cannot underestimate the motivation of a good curry.
Just AFTER the race...I made the mistake of having curry BEFORE my race... 🤢 😆
Great video Ben , the 2 ladies that was in the photo are friends and club mates of mine Rahana Islam & Nazis Islam
What’s that blues tune at 1:40? 🎸 🤘

What was the little plaque for? Did you come in first?
Yes Ben came first in the 22km race

It was a great event and I think you lapped me twice Ben 🙂 but I had more samosas and chole bhutare than you I bet 😂😂

I don’t think anybody really believes he is 110 years old which makes all his “achievements” questionable.
Her Majesty sent him the telegrams on 100 and 105 birthdays I hear.
Even if he were "only" 70, he'd still be inspirational to me!
