Let's face it majority of fans don't like change. Changes in looks, sound and maturity. And fans like to keep the groups under their control. Should talk more ok how unhealthy is to have that parasocial mentality as a "fan".
@@choujimi I hope you do and go in depth into the issue. It's purely unhealthy for both fans and artists. It is a matter of mental health specially for the artists. There's to many talented artists that either quit or unfortunately no longer with us because of such mentality. I'm not expecting a big change but it needs to be talked about and bring it to light. Also I would love to see more artist support one another publicly and call out the toxic "fans" out on their bs and hate. Keeping quiet and hoping it all goes away isn't the best way to squash such behavior from immature and hateful fans.
agreed. stayc's expansion of their sound into something a little darker with their newest comeback cheeky icy thang set swiths OFF. its such a good song but theyre so averse to change that it locks them in their little brains in fear of anything new😭
100%, it's very worrisome because sometimes fans cling to one single comeback, and they uphold that as what the group should always be. and that's super unrealistic, groups should not be static; they should evolve and try new sounds. you see this specially with boy groups who have a percentage of fans who always complain about their music but for some reason they're still following them just because they like the members... the parasocialism of it all.
23:22 whenever I see the "well, but it's her job!" argument in regards to that part of the documentary, I can't help but think, have these people never been frustrated with school or their job? There's always so much talk about how idols are humans too that gets thrown out of the window when an idol that's this year's punching bag does human things and shows human emotions.
The funniest thing with JYP flopping is that in my own experience, this has been JYP’s recovery year: - Twice has many solo / subunit comebacks and debut this year, with great anticipation and success - Skz had a soundtrack OST, contract extension and successful comeback - NMIXX has been rising at a rapid pace in popularity - ITZY’s newest comeback had amazing reception, and an OT5 full album is highly suspected to be coming up I do agree that the other groups need a lot more love from the company
@@dehosyt I think so too! Given every group’s more recent activities, it seems like JYPE is regrouping themselves - I’m really excited to see what happens in 2025
I don’t think Itzy’s recent comeback did well. They honestly underperformed, even Cake and Sneakers that got hated on got lot more views and charted better. JYP also gave their title track Untouchable too small budget, so it looked like a nugu mv. I also felt they had way too many music videoes. Like most people thought Born To Be was the title track, so they ignored Untouchable. I really want Itzy to bounce back.
@@dehosyt statistically jyp is flopping, their revenue is down almost 40% , regardless how jyp stans feel investors and jyp higher ups are obviously not satisfied
The Stray Kids one is interesting because in the intro for ATE, they said that the reason the album took so long is because they originally made songs that were more mainstream with a dash of Stray Kids, but none of them were satisfied with the result because they didn't felt like these represented them so they scratched that entire album and we ended up with the ATE we have today. Just wanted to add that (As someone who has watched every album intro and a lot of what the producers they have worked with say about them, Stray Kids has very clear ideas of how they want their music to sound. And I don't see many people talking about this, but Stray Kids know exactly about how people view their music and creative direction. This is very clear if you have watched any of their intros. For example, they said that S-class was going to be divisive and they were absolutely right. And that is one of the factors of why they are one of the most popular groups right now and how they have maintained their position there)
As a stay I feel like stray kids will always release a stray kids coded body of work which I'm not mad at. I do feel like I low-key I can't really tell eras apart because of so many similar... Idk themes or ways of doing things. They know who they are for certain. I guess I'm trying to say it feels safe?? Again not a bad thing they know their lane and their dominating cause of it. What do you think?? Love chatting with stays about skz❤
About first one it also about the time as a fan and money for me. Album sales are going down, the economy currently and all that, I feel stans really having to think which albums to buy and which groups to put your money to. But also so many prerelease and music videos, for me as a casual stan of kpop in general and very few ults, without meaning to I keep going back to just checking on my ults and not keeping up with releases like I used to. Weird comparison but I also watch drag race, they used to have 1 us season and and every few years one all stars. Now they have a all stars every year, 3-6 different countries seasons in the same year, new formates like all winners, charity season, x vs. The world specials. The fandom has the "when is it too much to keep up with everything to know what is going on in the overall fandom" conversation every 2 weeks it seems. And that kinda reminds me of my current feeling towards so many new groups and releases with not just one title tracks but 2 or 3 and prerelease and then follow up mvs etc. Edit man I just want one long comment without typos😂
Aww thank you for the huge compliments. I apologise for submitting THAT many posts as I thought more people would do it and I hope didn't don't think I tried hogging up the space as I thought only one would be selected, but oh my gosh I had a really harsh week irl due to life situations and this literally made my day that you took out your precious time to answer every single comment that I had 😭💜 Bless you and your content, I absolutely love how you take this much effort to properly answer everyone!
@@choujimi I literally love those songs, they’re so catchy!!!? I feel like most of them just haven’t even listened to the whole song yet. People jump on hate trains just for the fun😭
Stray kids have always produced songs that are authentic and they still have songs that convey a more personal feel. Also not every song has to be deep. Chk chk boom is just a silly song that is good!!!!
I didn’t get to submit anything but your analysis on chill kill completely changed my perception of the song and album. I didn’t know that a “chill kill” was an expression (at first glance it felt like a cheap way to aim for a darker concept by simply mentioning themes of d*ath)and after watching your video everything clicked for me; whether it be sonically, visually, etc. it’s now one of my favorite rv songs. Thank you for your service 🫡
I really don't understand the 'no substance' narrative going around Stray Kids. For as long as I know, their main concept has been self-confidence and enjoying yourself even if you're not in the trendy side of things. Now, I think about it, Itzy also has similar themes. N-mixx to a degree.
2:16 - with skz, I think ppl also forget how young they were in their earlier discography, most of them WERE kids growing up into adulthood, it makes so much sense that a lot of their songs were about growing up and mental health, it’s what they related to, if they were gonna be writing anything personal, that’s probably what would fit. An example immediately coming to mind is 19 which Han wrote about growing up. But now, the youngest is like 23, the oldest is turning 27, it’s understandable that their direction has changed. They never had a fixed style, to me the whole SKZ sound was the fact that they were experimental. In my opinion they are still writing meaningful songs, the meaning has just changed to fit their lives now.
Woah thank you for reading out my comment - I'm surprised it made it into the video. Maybe I shouldn't have said "unpopular opinion: stan Nmixx" hahaha
For the skz opinion, songs don’t have to have a DEEP meaning for it to be good. If the song only has a deep meaning and the music quality sucks, it’s not a good song. It’s ok for artists to be releasing music with a silly meaning, you don’t have to be serious all the time.
@@perle5680 Exactly. They have a huge discography with a deep meaning but then when they make a song with no deep meaning it’s bad?? Not everything has to be doom and gloom.
17:35 The most sensible thing I have heard from the kpop space since this unfolded. 20:38 This is why I subscribe to this channel even if I have given up on ktubers and kpop. There are so many interesting conversations to be had still in this space but drama always overshadows and drains everything. 25:17 A lot of people are attracted to RM low and firm tone of voice. Same with Jimin’s voice which quality is the exact opposite of RM’s producing an amazing contrast like chocolate fudge with and strawberries. Bye Celine. 36:44 Disagreed. It has nothing to do with gender. The most misogynistic act was perpetrated by Min Hee Jin against a female Ador ex employee. 44:55 Well said. I find the click harvesting trend extremely toxic, immature, and destructive. Yes. It can not be overstated is the right phrase.
I feel for sakura even though I don't listen to the group that much. People don't care for her improving. They just want to bully her and badger her. But she isn't even allowed to be emotional about it. I commented the same in a ktubers video which was recently released. They and the comments were so cruel to her. Saying it's her job and she shouldn't cry publically. Why ?? She has emotions and when she is constantly bullied, she will cry. Although i feel the company doesn't care for Sakura's situation but atleast we can do it leave her alone. Is she the lead or the main vocalist?? Why is she pressured so much ??
I've seen comments saying she's not 15, so she shouldn't cry and I was so shocked. Since when people in their twenties are not allowed to cry? A lot of kpop fans need to have a lesson on practising empathy for other people, because these types of comments are very worrisome, to say the least
@@albarr953 i did reply back saying her being an adult doesn't mean she can't be emotional. The way she is being bullied, anyone of any age would cry. People don't care for her improving, or crying. They have more problem with her crying in public. People and the ktuber even called her action pathetic. They are a very famous one and its their most recent video so you might know them. K-pop stans now have found a new victim to bully and they don't want to loose her no matter what. Once they find someone new, maybe they will be bored. That's all I can say.
@@Ruchi5297 I know what video you are talking about, I read the title and what the thumbnail said and it was a bit enfuriating ngl (I'm not longer suscribed to them for a long time now, because of how their takes are written and presented and also that short) People need to realize that you can work to improve while also feeling frustrated, specially if it's difficult for you. To put an example: I barely understood Physics in high school, so I felt bad and frustated a lot of the times by it. That didn't mean I wasn't putting in the work and the effort to improve on Physics and I ended up improving on it at the end. People have different paces when learning different things and we all have subjects or skills we find difficult or that we cannot understand easily. Feeling frustated is normal and it doesn't invalidate your efforts and work in learning. Basically, you can say that Sakura need to improve on her vocals while also understanding that she's human and as such, she can feel frustration in her way to improvement. Hounding her and throwing hate at her is not going to do anything productive for her improvement and it's not empathetic of anyone to do that to someone
@@albarr953 I am just disappointed with that account. I thought I finally found an account who is objective to blackpink because it's so rare to find a ktuber who doesn't shit on them. They once were objective. But since their boycott video where they were giggling about such an tragic topic and saying both sides are bad, I lost hope. I don't follow them but seeing just another ktuber just ripping off Sakura, i couldn't let that go. Just leave her alone. People are saying she is improving. Atleast the girl is trying. Would she magically become great at singing if they constantly shit at her?? It's just their way to take their frustration out on someone. Right now it's her, soon it will be some else.
@@Ruchi5297girl , everglowup was never objective not even with blackpink ,for the sakura video if the same thing happened with wonyoung or idol she stanned the video would have been so different. I remember her constantly hating on bts , she is the biggest hypocrite and never does the thing she preaches.
This is mka. Thanks for responding to my opinion!! I really appreciate ypur response becuase I never considered a lot of the things you said. Stray kids shouldnt be criticised for making the kind of music that they want to, and its entirely likely that theyve simply moved on from making songs about issues that might have been more personal to them when they were younger. Keep up the good work!
Oh wow I didn't expect my response to make it into the video lol I love your critique videos (even if I don't entirely agree with you) bc you do so in a very thoughtful manner so pls don't take it as me only wanting "positive" videos from you! I like that even when you're approaching serious topics, you never take them too lightly but you don't make it a bummer as well. A lot is going on in the world rn and it's hard to stay positive so having meaningful kpop commentary that doesn't make me want to sign off is a blessing lol. Also, you seem like a genuinely good person and that makes me enjoy watching your content and interacting with it even more. You're doing a great job, your community on this channel is pretty chill and I hope you're proud of your content!
@@angelakiprevski7352 Yeah definitely! I spoke about videos regarding social issues with everything that has happened recently across social media in mind - it’s very draining in general lol Also thanks so much again for leaving a response! I really appreciated your comment
thank you for including my opinion!! i thought that i sounded a bit vague (and rewrote it a few times to be safe, lol), but i’m glad you were able to understand exactly what i was getting at! opinions are completely normal to have, but our community often has them at the expense of creating an environment that can be unnecessarily hostile. i believe that this is why there has been an influx of confusion between criticism and hate. delivery and intention is very important - and that has gotten severely lost in translation with the amount of ‘unpopular opinions’ made to evoke an emotional response for engagements.
2:16 im not a stay but im a very big atiny and ive kind of been feeling the same way about ateez during their last few comebacks??? dont get me wrong i love bouncy, crazy form and work but it seems like after bouncy blew up they started becoming less experimental with their title tracks. like they used to be known as a very experimental group but ive noticed that its slowed down over the past year. hopefully their next comeback proves me wrong, but even if it doesnt ill still love them and their entire discography LOL
Oh my gosh, thank you so much for submitting so many of mine. I genuinely thought you would just pick one per person omg sorry hahah. But oh my gosh, so many people had such great comments 😭
I love how he responded to them very nicely cuz some of the other ktubers think what they are saying is right and their responses are very weird and rude at times
That person celine must be a troll or attention seeker because i cant imagine bts songs without rm and jimin released one of the best album his songs wouldn't sound so good without him. My girl sakura cant catch a break, i wish kpopstans would leave her alone for sometime giving their useless advice.
I feel like the smartest thing about Stray Kids is their name itself. When people think about the word "Kids" they think like "teens, younger generation and all that, so what?" But then you take a deeper look into these teens and find drama, freedom, self expression, anxiety, loneliness and vibrant feelings. Same is the case with Stray Kids, when people think about them they're like " yeah that group with the loud songs and the ' I'm so different' concept" But in a deeper level they're songs have some really deep meanings. The title track is always dynamic, loud and fun like"chk chk boom", "thunderous" and "god's menu" and so on. But their b sides are just so meaningful and interesting to dissect. Like Han's solo "Alien" is literally "I'm an Alien on this earth", "Silent cry" is depressing as hell, "JJAM" is just fun, "red lights", "ex" and "venom" are about toxic relationships. So yeah, all of Stray Kids' title tracks are loud but that's the surface level stuff, you gotta look deeper into the album to understand it better
Although i understand not liking gidle post hwaa, bcs music is subjective - i understand the extreme style change considering the fact they lost a member, they are from a mid size company and most groups in that position lose a shit ton of popularity post such a scandal/situation. Also,, some of their bsides still serve similar vibes, literally look at fate
Longer? Shorter? Both, in my opinion. I enjoy listening to your voice (in a cool way lol) and hearing your thoughts. But whatever makes you happy and keeps you inspired. Great video, as always. - Skye. :)
44:30 Arimes32 said what needed to be said. I actually struggle in kpop to find people to actually talk about kpop/music with outside the safe spaces with personal friends I have. Kpop and sometimes ktube in the past few years have felt like a contest of who gets the say the most toxic things or ktubers think that you have to post these videos, because this is the only way your channel grows. I hope people understand it's not necessary and that we much rather watch a genuine 20 min video on why IZ*ONE changed your life or why IVE's lore is not what people think etc.
i feel like the opinion about idols like shuhua being essential very much apply to johnny from nct. he doesn't contribute a lot musically but in terms of group dynamics and chemistry he adds a lot especially in making 127 closer initially and gets along with everyone. he's essential in their variety content and bringing in new fans and being a stan attractor lol so i thing he's important in that way. If Sm had also decided to not throw about western nct promotions he also would have been important in taking a lead in speaking for the group. i think the opinion about idols like johnny and shuhua boil down to whether people think an idol's musical contribution and artistry is the primary reason they should be in the group
12:00 i would think the reason why they chose to give mvs for debut and touch is to represent both the western gg soundscape in debut (loud, bright, memberable and unserious) while also showing the current kpop gg landscape (soft, tiktokable, downtempo and fairylike) which is to prove that there's no reason to box katseye in although idk if anyone else will also think this way lol
46:40 Omg, PLEASE do not feel guilty for not engaging with my comments box, ever! My community has really taken on a life of its own, so please never feel obligated to chime in to the debate. @@overthinkingkpop Yeah the community you’ve established is already thriving!! I’ll always be tuning in to your videos, and again for myself, I really want to get back into the action of being engaged in the ktube community universally haha - thanks again for leaving a response!
About the second opinion: I can see where this person was coming from, they have so much beautiful meaningful music from their past comebacks. I just think that OP hasn't listened to their more recent bsides though. Songs like Cover Me, Stray Kids, twilight, Social Path, and Youtiful are all very meaningful and deep, with stunning lyrics. The members said themselves that they sort of consider God's Menu as a second debut since it gave them the image they wanted to stick with, so it makes sense that they would stick with a similar concept.
52:10 i haven't listened to the full albums chuu has released, but i think howl and strawberry rush are such such good songs -- personally i found the creative direction to be really strong, i think she and her team have a very clear direction on what they want to emanate through her music. the pre-releases underwater and chocolate are also very enjoyable and strong in their own right. i remember seeing a lot on tiktok that strawberry rush was "peak chuu," which isn't necessarily something i disagree with, but also felt like such a discredit to howl which i think was a perfect (re?)debut for her. i feel like howl kind of fell under the radar to a lot of people by virtue of not being a hyper-cute concept/song, which is really unfortunate as i think it displays much of her charms as an idol and artist in other ways the lyrical content, themeing and storytelling involved with her two comebacks are so well done and seem to be rife with personal meaning that directly correlates to her experiences in the idol industry... honestly the lyrics to howl make me cry sometimes! i can understand how that might be lost on non-korean fans though, as we will only perceive the lyrics when reading them or watching an MV with captions on. but still, i find it to be an important part of her re-debut, and I agree that she should be given the grace to find her footing and explore her artistry after her experiences under BBC
Here’s some of mine! 1.BLACKPINK Lisa’s music lately gives off “great idea but rushed execution” vibes. Don’t get me wrong it’s catchy and fun to listen to, but Rockstar could’ve had a bridge, more rap, maybe use more of the Tame Impala- inspired melody, and as for New Woman, I almost had a stroke while reading the lyrics. I feel like she has so much potential, and I look forward to seeing more from her in the future! 2. When referring to a K-pop singer, it’s important to mention the name of their group, or last name for soloists. I do think it’s okay for FANS of a VERY famous singer(K-pop or not) to refer to them casually with only first name. But for news articles, streaming platform bios, and educational commentary, I think the full title is necessary. 3. When a performer(s) gets into a scandal or controversy because of their music, it’s a little odd to say “don’t blame them it’s the record label’s fault” because even if it IS the label’s fault, the group/ singer must hold some accountability as they are getting money from the song, have their name on the song, popularized the song, and are performing the song. Of course, the label holds some accountability for it too! 4. The term “K-pop idol” is outdated and not very useful, because many performers within K-pop don’t have enough influence for it to be accurate. An idol is someone who people look up to, and is quite an impressive title! Therefore I think “singer” or “performer” should be default, and “idol” can be used for those who are known for being inspiring, positive and influential(for example (G)I-DLE Soyeon, IVE Wonyoung, BTS, BLACKPINK, etc.) This isn’t to criticize or target struggling or small business performers, it’s only to give justice to the ones who have made it! That’s all, thank you for reading!❤ You are 100% free to disagree but please don’t start a war in the replies!😂
I have to respectfully agree with Celine about G-Idle’s music. I felt very let down by their recent comeback ‘Honk’, because it felt like they were just saying random words. I prefer songs more like ‘Superlady’, I think.
45:19 This opinion is so eye-opening to me as someone who indulges with that style of content a lot. I think for me personally, who was a kinda socially closed off teenager, it's a way to get me thinking and become more comfortable with confrontation. Also, expressing my opinions, knowing others will disagree, and being more open-minded. But I do feel it has become more unless and unproductive to me. It's very draining and tiring. This opinion has really made me want to take a break away from it.
36:15 i think as a response to epic gamer's opinion, i feel like hybe is really pushing it when it comes to these wattpad y/n like concepts for their boy groups. Its actually insane to think txt has also done this bf concept to a smaller degree in i know i love you + loser lover and that xo by enhypen feels like it's younger bro. It be crazy in here and fans are EATING TF UP
They call YG’s and Jyp’s music boring when Hybe is there having three girl groups who sound exactly the same and if you don’t know them you won’t know their songs are not from the same artist.
We tend to forget one thing as fans. The documentary of Lesserafim proved again that not only haters caused the girlies to be in this state. SOME Fearnots (well a lot) kept comparing them with other girls groups calling them flops, untalented and bullied every other fandom to believe them. Fans were fine with that. I mean who doesn't overhype their fan iut of excitement? So other fandoms were like "let's see if what they say is true, they actually got a good debut." After multiple performances dropped people have noticed they know how sing live, but they can't sing good as their fans claimed like "Yunjin clears all your Vocalist with her opera training" or "Sakura is good for someone coming out from J-Pop" and once all of that bragging wasn't real, it backfired. It's true that in 2022, Lesserafim were part of the few girl group that sang live, but their vocals never were on point, but Fearnots and hybe kept pushing them. And the other girls group that were bashed by Fearnots clearly showed that their input wasn't into dance but clearly into vocals and in the eyes of Fearnots it wasn't enough for them. Lesserafim was in top and no one could stop them because "at least they can dance." Yunjin's words saying she wanted to change the industry were twisted by her own fans and even her talent. They kept saying she would or she is changing the industry when, in fact, she just began to work in that industry and wished to do it but they are nit listening to her truthful songs and spread hate on whatever idol just to parise them. How can she change the industry when her "family" (Hybe and Fearnots) is not letting her the time to and are already shoving her name in every people's mouth. It clearly came back to them cause every other girl group actually sang live better than them : Ive at Lollapalooza, for example or Nmixx at IDAYS and BST Hyde Park Festival. And When Lesserafim missed their Coachella performance, they played their victim cards with apology and middle finger on their story cause they know how dumb fans are and it's not first time that everytime Lesserafim are in a controversy, fans defend them and five days later, Lesserafim use the same made up excuse to base on and say "do not judge" when their actions are more than simply problematic. The best way to prove to haters they are wrong is to shut it down and the documentary was clearly putting them in a vulnerable place with them breaking down and also act as if they were the only one suffering from the K-Pop Industry (the whole art/sport/music by the way) with their sounds and documentary where they completely act out of touch. They just don't care. And they learned how to not care. Hybe is to blame even more. Those girls are/were not good mentally even though Hybe and their fans claim that they have psychologist in their studios. They used their pain as content for pity even though it looks like those girls are showing signs of imposter syndrome feeling ungrateful and unworthy and it looks like no one around us is making them feel that. The vocal coach part clearly has shown that they base everything on performative learning cause if Sakura had really taken vocal lesson, she would've found her real voice ever since. Hybe was acting all nice during the documentary saying "you can stop if you're tired, don't push yourself" when in fact, those girls spent years with Hybe toxic management so it's not in their genes anymore to stop when they are tired. Those girls starved themselves too under Hybe's management. They clearly were made to not say no or not or feel like a disappointment. They clearly are Hybe's puppet. Hybe debuted those girls only with 4 months of training as a group, when usually groups take 2 years to train and figure out what sound is best for them. It's good we share a light on haters cause some of them really are core haters Lesserafim, but at the end of the day, Hybe and Fearnots have more influence on those girls than anyone else. They are the one making Eunchae think she will be ugly in a few years, not the contrary. The documentary was a media play, and the excuse they had was the previous documentary they made for antifragile. 2 YEARS AGO. No documentary for Fearless, Unforgiven, Perfect Night, Easy but suddenly one for Crazy... okay. What did we learn about the documentary then ? Where was the red line ? Where were Kazuha and Chaewon in the documentary? What makes them different from other idols ? Cause we literally learned nothing from it, and haters won again. Lesserafim hate train keep getting "valid" everyday. When you're a loved group like Lesserafim you have the controller in your hand you either Shut up and prove or cry and make yourself vulnerable.
Offff but ima disagree bc the documentary was out of lesserafim control in fact this was before the hate y’all say hate is vaild is crazy becuase kpop Stans never take accountability it would be different if they didn’t try after Coachella I’m sure they working their asses off to improve and let me remind you guys when the who garam scandal came out y’all were shitting on her like crazy and lesserafim ima not let kpop fans forget that literally celebrating at 16 year old got kick was disgusting One day some thing I learned in school humans make mistake and not just that kpop isn’t real idk why y’all come after tunjin for wanting to change ppl can have aspirations and even if she didn’t intend too all idols have a persona idk I feel after this comeback they have it’ll tell us more
@user-ov7mb2qs2y who's yall ? Cause the ones who shitted on Garam were fearnots, and I wasn't a fearnots back then. I just loved Lesserafim, and my bias was Garam, and I became a fearnot in 2023. Fearnots were celebrating Garam departure like no one really cared cause there were other controversies at that time. Yunjin said she wanted to change the industry, and her fans bragged her all around, saying she would change it or she was changing it when, in fact, she wasn't.
8:54 i have said this for a long time. Same with people unstanning because of the fans. You don't have to interact with fans to enjoy a group. Why is it that you dislike a group for something they have no control over.
Dang why do i always see hate when it comes to Itzy by the kpop community. Leave my girls alone. Anyways I do agree with your opinion on their muisc and management. I could talk forever of how division 2 (their team) sucks.
I will never understand the constant putting down itzy's music. Sure im not a sneakers fan, but everything else? Itzy has been releasing so many good songs. Mr Vampire is a masterpiece imo
I appreciated NMIXX’s visualizer but I can get behind the song, loved their last ep but listening to the highlight medley of this new EP didn’t inspire much hope of me enjoying it (but they certainly are very talented girls). Also regarding vocals, I am one of these people that cares a lot about vocals, that being said, I don’t hold it against any group/idol that’s not a good vocalist (it does influence my decision to stan said artists, but at the end of the day, I care most about the music, for example, I think Mamamoo and SJ have amazing vocalists, but I don’t stan either one because I don’t connect the the former’s music, and the latter is just discounting and problematic for me). If you’re not a good vocalist, I simply won’t watch performances nor spend my money on tours, I’ll just contently listen to the music I like from said artist.
omg i submitted something thinking this was just a general feedback form on your channel, not an actual kpop opinion collection 😭🙈 but i appreciate you responding to my little feedback nonetheless!! i hope this has helped you feel less retreated in ktube and more comfortable engaging with the community. i can only imagine how hard it is to do after all the criticism you've faced lately. but taking things at your own pace and just posting videos that make you happy is okay too, there's no need to push yourself :) thanks for all the awesome videos❤
9:43 why do people make fun of people's language speaking or writing skills? It definitely reeks of "go back to where you came from" type of bullshit to me which i find to be super stinky
"Fe3O4: Break" en efecto es el mejor álbum del año, es cohesivo, variado, con hermosos vocales, buenas canciones y un concepto interesante. Espero que "Fe3O4: Stick out" sea al menos igual de bueno, aunque creo que incluso para ellas eso es algo difícil.
For kiss of life, you said it isn't intentional. But i think it is. Fans are very intentional when they call them grown women, this way they get to sexualise them without feeling guilty. You can not believe the number of instances i have seen this. Calling them grown women have given fans a license to say anything they want.
Yay!!!! Finally someone who loves zero. I do agree that the chorus does throw one off, but everything else about the song is soo good. Like I genuinely really love zero.( CocaCola Mashita supremacy!) lol

Completely agree with your take about Aespa. As a huge fan though the situation feels tough. Like yes I want the girls to release music they want to release and that they like to perform I think they deserve that. But at the same time like they knew what group they were debuting in when they made the choice so it also feels a little…. Idk like why’d yall join aespa then 😭😭😭 conflicting feels fr
The way many people feel about StrayKids is the way I feel about BoyNextDoor 😂 I think is not about habbing one specific topic that most songs revolve around, but rather about how much your audience can relate to said topic. So, I love a lot of StrayKids songs because their theme of confidence and 😎 things is really my style. On the contrary, Bonedo make me feel odd with almost all of the songs talking about love 😅
Armageddon is just a reflection of their other albums. Hot Air Balloon? Yeppi Yeppi? these are poppy songs on Hyperpop and Techno dominated albums. I posted a new opinion on the form!!
Rant warning: The problem with Enhypen's boyfriend concept is that (in my opinion) It feels like the songs are a bit manipulative in trying to cultivate an obsessive fanbase, something that is already a problem for Enhypen. People online feel way too comfortable to say the weirdest things about the members and those songs kinda makes it worse. When yoy have someone that's a minor singing about "I'll be your boyfriend" while we don't know how much that person feels comfortable with it, while they have so many stalkers and extremely disgusting fans that say things about thier bodies, it feels wronf. If you also combine all the inappropriate choreographies given to Enhypen, well aware that niki is a minor, it feels like they are purposefully putting them in an uncomfortable or dangerous situation. I know that artists to this all the time but for me it feels different with Enhypen. Especially as a fan of Taemin (and Enhypen) knowing how horrible people can be, it feels so wrong. I love them but hybe is so wrong for this. Now with Smart, Eunchae being 17, it makes me look at everything hybe does with a lot of distrust then in the past. I'm waiting patiently until those idols grow up and get out. Hybe knew fever was wrong. They knew the Bite me lyrics were inappropriate for Niki. Again, kpop does this all the time, but it doesn't make it wrong all those other times. What I don't like here is the inclusion of the Audience. They aren't talking about a crush and specific things, it's a self insert. A lot of love songs in kpop have a sense of "this is about someone in some way or at least tries to show an example of love". In Enhypen, it feels like they are talking to thier fans with "I'll be your boyfriend" and "Xo kiss me". Maybe I'm looking to hard on this but it FEELS different.
I am no english speaker so i wana ask sth If i say" i dont like . . . " why is does everybody think u hate sth ? I never said i hate someone i just dont like them 🫠 but it always feels like sth Bad to say that u dont "like" sb
The SKZ opinion is straight up ass. I've been a stay since 2019 and as a fan you HAVE to understand an artist has to evolve and experiment in order to remain passionate about what they do. They've tried over a hundred genres as of now, saying they keep making the same music just tells me you don't know shit about song production and just want to complain about "noise music". Would you rather they stick to the same formula every damn time and never, ever branch out? Also - pretending like they stopped making personal music that deals with mental health as if Scars, Silent Cry, Slump, Lonely St. and Social Path haven't all been released fairly recently??? 💀 Most groups choose the most catchy, chart friendly songs as the title track which is a sound marketing decision they have to make to be able to keep making music in the first place. It's the same with BTS, Ateez and Gidle, if you don't want your favorite group to experiment and try out a different sound with every comeback, MAYBE don't choose to stan self produced groups who experiment with every comeback.
celine woke up and chose violence lmaooo 😭that girl is BRAVE for hating on bts publicly when hardcore armys are out there ready to doxx some more people
While I do agree with what she said about Jimin. (Not hating here) I'm just worried that there's actually someone who listens to a group just to hate on them like? Give constructive critism and opinions that actually make sense lmao instead of str8 up hating which some kpop stans commend. Like I don't get it. Are we supposed to commend stans who hate on groups? Is this who we are? Regardless of what the fandom could potentially do?
@@yunakim7964 i totally agree with you, what is the point of stanning a group if you’re going to hate on them and no, i wasn’t praising her for hating, i was just pointing out how fearless she is for hating the group with the worst fandom of all time publicly 😭 im sorry. i also want to mention that i do not, in any way or form, support cyberbullying, specially doxxing, because even if you’re a hater, you don’t deserve going through something like that like some people might think. just be nice and if you dislike a group just keep your mouth shut 🤞🏼
@@ymerlinn6851 Preach!!!!!! Like I wish I could like this comment a hundred time😭🙏🏾 people desperately NEED to put this in their heads. I'm a multistan btw, and BTS is the first group I stanned. My top 5 are : BTS, ATEEZ, SKZ, SEVENTEEN and DREAMCATCHER. wbu?
I think that problem with stray kids is that theyre songs are structurally the same. They never switch up the members, they have too much rap in the songs, its so insufferable. They're songs lack any substance and i don't see them aging well or being memorable in the future outside of stay fandom.
I think that the issue is that they just.. aren’t made to make their own music completely alone or that much of the time 😭 they clearly choose to make songs that are very hit or miss and that’s why they get so much hate because they can’t not be different
(long stay opinion…) they’re self produced, so it will happen. i’m guessing since they’re always so busy they’re not focusing on developing/expanding/experimenting with their sound… which is a disappointment. I hope they do the same thing as NewJeans and keep their same “y2k vibe” in each of their songs/albums but still experiment a lot with their sound (think ditto vs ETA vs supernatural, soo different, but still newjeans). ALSO being a stay and listening to their albums it gets repetitive. Some of their songs are literally the SAME!! structurally at least… I realllllly hope they get a break like up to a year even to give them time to experiment. OR!!!!!!! get some other co-producers BESIDES Versachoi because we are really done w him no shade!!!! 😭💀
people say this when theyve literally only listened to their most popular albums, which is popular bc people enjoy it, when skz see that their more "loud" or "popular" songs are doing well in charts and thats what fans enjoy, OBVIOUSLY their gunna keep doing that. but i can tell u dont listen to them on that level, u only see the surface, the literal meaning of their name "Stray Kids" means that they are stray (in music) hence they will and HAVE experimented with alot of songs, they have so many genres if u actually take a moment and fully listen to them. they seriously have no misses.

Let's face it majority of fans don't like change. Changes in looks, sound and maturity. And fans like to keep the groups under their control. Should talk more ok how unhealthy is to have that parasocial mentality as a "fan".
@@ro-zeea.8734 I agree! There’s so much that goes into projection and parasocial relationships, but I’d definitely like to talk about it someday

Fr like do you have to love every aspect of your job???? Especially cuz you don't really know what being an idol entails until you actually do it

The funniest thing with JYP flopping is that in my own experience, this has been JYP’s recovery year:
- Twice has many solo / subunit comebacks and debut this year, with great anticipation and success
- Skz had a soundtrack OST, contract extension and successful comeback
- NMIXX has been rising at a rapid pace in popularity
- ITZY’s newest comeback had amazing reception, and an OT5 full album is highly suspected to be coming up
I do agree that the other groups need a lot more love from the company
@@dehosyt I think so too! Given every group’s more recent activities, it seems like JYPE is regrouping themselves - I’m really excited to see what happens in 2025
Also xdinary heroes is selling out a lot of concerts and they had their first full album
Jyp is DEFINITELY NOT flopping lol
I don’t think Itzy’s recent comeback did well. They honestly underperformed, even Cake and Sneakers that got hated on got lot more views and charted better. JYP also gave their title track Untouchable too small budget, so it looked like a nugu mv. I also felt they had way too many music videoes. Like most people thought Born To Be was the title track, so they ignored Untouchable. I really want Itzy to bounce back.
@@vixxexo6855 I think statistically, it did poorly…
But response from fans wise, it was very beloved
@@dehosyt statistically jyp is flopping, their revenue is down almost 40% , regardless how jyp stans feel investors and jyp higher ups are obviously not satisfied
The Stray Kids one is interesting because in the intro for ATE, they said that the reason the album took so long is because they originally made songs that were more mainstream with a dash of Stray Kids, but none of them were satisfied with the result because they didn't felt like these represented them so they scratched that entire album and we ended up with the ATE we have today. Just wanted to add that
(As someone who has watched every album intro and a lot of what the producers they have worked with say about them, Stray Kids has very clear ideas of how they want their music to sound.

Same I don’t know why people say stuff like that🤷♀️
2:16 - with skz, I think ppl also forget how young they were in their earlier discography, most of them WERE kids growing up into adulthood, it makes so much sense that a lot of their songs were about growing up and mental health, it’s what they related to, if they were gonna be writing anything personal, that’s probably what would fit.
Most of their B sides on their albums and SKZ REPLAY songs are extremely deep idk why people say stuff like that
@@perle5680 Exactly. They have a huge discography with a deep meaning but then when they make a song with no deep meaning it’s bad?? Not everything has to be doom and gloom.

@@Ruchi5297 I know what video you are talking about, I read the title and what the thumbnail said and it was a bit enfuriating ngl (I'm not longer suscribed to them for a long time now, because of how their takes are written and presented and also that short)
People need to realize that you can work to improve while also feeling frustrated, specially if it's difficult for you.
Lmaooo celine came at us and i kinda like that hahahaaaaaaaa

About the second opinion:
I can see where this person was coming from, they have so much beautiful meaningful music from their past comebacks.
52:10 i haven't listened to the full albums chuu has released, but i think howl and strawberry rush are such such good songs -- personally i found the creative direction to be really strong, i think she and her team have a very clear direction on what they want to emanate through her music. the pre-releases underwater and chocolate are also very enjoyable and strong in their own right.
i remember seeing a lot on tiktok that strawberry rush was "peak chuu," which isn't necessarily something i disagree with, but also felt like such a discredit to howl which i think was a perfect (re?)debut for her. i feel like howl kind of fell under the radar to a lot of people by virtue of not being a hyper-cute concept/song, which is really unfortunate as i think it displays much of her charms as an idol and artist in other ways
the lyrical content, themeing and storytelling involved with her two comebacks are so well done and seem to be rife with personal meaning that directly correlates to her experiences in the idol industry... honestly the lyrics to howl make me cry sometimes! i can understand how that might be lost on non-korean fans though, as we will only perceive the lyrics when reading them or watching an MV with captions on. but still, i find it to be an important part of her re-debut, and I agree that she should be given the grace to find her footing and explore her artistry after her experiences under BBC
It be crazy in here and fans are EATING TF UP
celine i love you , u r so real
They call YG’s and Jyp’s music boring when Hybe is there having three girl groups who sound exactly the same and if you don’t know them you won’t know their songs are not from the same artist.
lsf does not sound like nwjns nor illit
@@vickmay3898 I talked about Katseye and njs and illit
@@jensetter-dib ok. katseye isnt anything like nwjns or illit
@@vickmay3898well… their debut kinda is
We tend to forget one thing as fans.
So other fandoms were like "let's see if what they say is true, they actually got a good debut."
After multiple performances dropped people have noticed they know how sing live, but they can't sing good as their fans claimed like "Yunjin clears all your Vocalist with her opera training" or "Sakura is good for someone coming out from J-Pop" and once all of that bragging wasn't real, it backfired.
Lesserafim was in top and no one could stop them because "at least they can dance."
Yunjin's words saying she wanted to change the industry were twisted by her own fans and even her talent.
You are cute. Going out of your way to not sound cruel. So many kpop youtubers need to learn this.
8:54 i have said this for a long time. Same with people unstanning because of the fans. You don't have to interact with fans to enjoy a group. Why is it that you dislike a group for something they have no control over.
Reading celine’s comment as an army just made be laugh hard af 😭😭😭 she woke and decided to hate 😂😂😂. But yea celine, plz improve your music taste 😭😭😭
Dang why do i always see hate when it comes to Itzy by the kpop community. Leave my girls alone. Anyways I do agree with your opinion on their muisc and management. I could talk forever of how division 2 (their team) sucks.
“There is no profit to nuance” f u l l y rewired my tiny little brain
thank you for the gem
25:24 I now have personal beef with whoever Celine is
I will never understand the constant putting down itzy's music. Sure im not a sneakers fan, but everything else? Itzy has been releasing so many good songs. Mr Vampire is a masterpiece imo
i like these long opinion videos
I love your content and I love long videos so this vid was a total blessing 😭😭💗💗💗
Thank you for mentioning my take ( I’m Lina btw ) this made my day🫶🏻
WDYM?! long chat, live my life and licorice are my favorite tracks lol
For kiss of life, you said it isn't intentional. But i think it is. Fans are very intentional when they call them grown women, this way they get to sexualise them without feeling guilty. You can not believe the number of instances i have seen this.
Calling them grown women have given fans a license to say anything they want.
55 minutes? Omg, I’ve been blessed
Yay!!!! Finally someone who loves zero. I do agree that the chorus does throw one off, but everything else about the song is soo good. Like I genuinely really love zero.( CocaCola Mashita supremacy!) lol
Not me not submitting anything bcuz i was working 😅😭. But i have a video of 1 hour so i'll get a snack.
PD: i can imagine editing this was a nightmare and that i already submitted some takes 👀

Completely agree with your take about Aespa. As a huge fan though the situation feels tough. Like yes I want the girls to release music they want to release and that they like to perform I think they deserve that. But at the same time like they knew what group they were debuting in when they made the choice so it also feels a little…. Idk like why’d yall join aespa then 😭😭😭 conflicting feels fr
thank you for keep doing your more in deep videos.
Omg I’m late but my opinion is in here!!
The way many people feel about StrayKids is the way I feel about BoyNextDoor 😂
I think is not about habbing one specific topic that most songs revolve around, but rather about how much your audience can relate to said topic.
So, I love a lot of StrayKids songs because their theme of confidence and 😎 things is really my style. On the contrary, Bonedo make me feel odd with almost all of the songs talking about love 😅
plot twist choujimi’s real name is ben
help i love the intro
I thought all of the SM groups and soloists basically abandoned the Kwangya concept once LSM left.
Same
Armageddon is just a reflection of their other albums. Hot Air Balloon? Yeppi Yeppi? these are poppy songs on Hyperpop and Techno dominated albums.
I posted a new opinion on the form!!

Rant warning:
The problem with Enhypen's boyfriend concept is that (in my opinion)
It feels like the songs are a bit manipulative in trying to cultivate an obsessive fanbase, something that is already a problem for Enhypen.
39:38 I love Frutiger Aero ❤
18:17 oooo i agree with this oneeee
8:40 wait im confused people not liking the group or members themselves like for no reason or something or not liking their music?

It's the same with BTS, Ateez and Gidle, if you don't want your favorite group to experiment and try out a different sound with every comeback, MAYBE don't choose to stan self produced groups who experiment with every comeback.
will you do a part 2 ??
And when i say cake is better than wannabe then what….
celine woke up and chose violence lmaooo 😭that girl is BRAVE for hating on bts publicly when hardcore armys are out there ready to doxx some more people
While I do agree with what she said about Jimin.
This is major why there's a lot of toxicity in the kpop community on a whole. We beed people like you who know how to enjoy music without fanwars and arguments. I'm a multistan btw, and BTS is the first group I stanned. My top 5 are : BTS, ATEEZ, SKZ, SEVENTEEN and DREAMCATCHER. wbu?
Hey !
I think that problem with stray kids is that theyre songs are structurally the same. They never switch up the members, they have too much rap in the songs, its so insufferable. They're songs lack any substance and i don't see them aging well or being memorable in the future outside of stay fandom.
well stray kids are a rap based group of course their songs are gonna have more rap??
@@radsiickOMG THANK U FOR VOICING OUT WHAT I HAVE BEEN STRUGGLING TO SAY FOR SUCH A LONG TIME 😭
