I tried doing the same today, about 12 hours ago. I'm running memory diagnostics now because the whole thing is never detected, let alone be used as a bootable drive.
Would this work with an asus tuff x570? Or a msg b550 tomahawk? Someone mentioned I might have problems with it being sata3 so I’m nervous as this is my first build and just purchased . TIA btw I found a 2 tb m.2 Santa 3
I have sandisk x600 m.2 2280 sata 256GB on my HP gaming and need to upgrade my Clone my Current C:\ Drive to the newer drive. Looking for USB cable to do this externally first.
My windows media installation tool does not recognized this exact same m2 while the boot options does shows it, already tried every disk part command and boot secure options
Windows media installation tool can't recognize it will only recognize usb or dvd but nowadays noone uses dvd to install windows anymore. It however might recognize it it you plug it into enclosure to convert it to external drive.
Its amazing how prices have fallen and performance has increased. I have four nvme drives and my two pcie4 are ten times faster than the WD Blue and paid far less.

It is 3d NAND , BUT that being said no where do they mention it on WD site or the documentation if it is indeed MLC or TLC .. sorry I could not be of more help.

When I try to install Windows whit this ssd the PC don’t reconise it,it needs drivers or something?
Format the drive and delete , they make a new partition in windows set up

no, currently there is no ssd that can be used for the ps5
its as high as the WD SN 550 MVNE THAT GETS DOUBLE THIS SSD SPEEDS? WHY?
Probably cause the WD SN 550 wasn't even out when this first came out.. so that's probably why.
Not sure why SATA M.2 still exists when NVMe M.2 is here

Gen 3, but it's SATA not NVME so it doesn't really matter as speeds will cap out at 550 anyway..

I bought this ssd m.2 and it says it works around 550mb/s, but it downloads about 3.5mb/s on my pc.what goes wrong?
Downloading from the internet? That has to do with the speed of your internet connection not the speed of your ssd
