I had the same experience as you, going after buried treasure, for the first time. The undead are annoying to fight, since they block most of your attacks. Try taming yourself a nice lion or tiger and use that to mow down the undead. They don't seem capable of blocking attacks from tames. Also, get some crew for your ship, asap. When you have crew on the sails, you can control the sails from the steering wheel, making managing your sales a heck of a lot easier.
Everything about this game was made for group play. When I was still playing we rarely did anything with fewer than 5 people other than scouting for raids or suicide running the fountain of youth. My only real gripe about the game back then was that stealing a ship was nearly impossible because of how long it took. I only successfully stole a handful of them. Enjoying watching this series so far.
In all fairness, it shouldn't necessarily be easily accessible to steal something quickly, seeing as the value of High Blueprinted Ships can take a while to produce. I use to play back in Seasons 3-7 as one of the Tempest Leaders, and I couldn't imagine watching our Blueprinted Boats with Max cannons / sails going out to someone. because you can still attempt to place a claim on a anchored boat at the time (not sure if its still like this) I essentially decided to stop playing because the pre-fab boats were just horrendous, and then they began to really change the game for the worst in my opinion. however though it was absolutely fun experience for when We played. There is so much potential this game had, and honestly there is even a lot Ark could learn to implement, such as the Vitamin Buff/Cooking, Skill Trees, I'd even argue that the Food Buff System was tremendously better too, Server Transfer methods via Sailing between them or even Teleporters rather then Download/Upload method. I'd genuinely love to see Cart Saddles introduced for Equus. If any of the Tempest bois still play, I hope they see this message and 100% hope yall are killing it still :D Same goes to any of our allies in Obsidian if any Vets still play, I've recently looked at player counts on steam and never seen them so low :( its genuinely disappointing.
Yea despite how janky and ark like it was, building and customizing ships and exploring was so fucking fun. My crew and I going island to island trying to find the right resources, and got completely pummeled by a ship that had like 30 cannons on the front xD
ATLAS is actually really good now! If it would have launched like this it would of been a HUGE success. The ocean, the exploration/adventure, the immersion & the ships in this game are amazing! Imagine an ATLAS 2 in UE5, now that would be EPIC! It could pull players from ARK, Sea of Thieves and MMO RPG players.
I'd have to disagree that the state of the game now is 'better' the reality is the game in its current state is horrendous for long term play, Its extremely easy to raid/sink all your hard work in seconds now because of the unbalance. as a PvP player from Seasons 3-7, Season 3 was the absolute peak. Season 6+ began to go all downhill tremendously rapidly with the new ships being so horrendous. I do however think Shipyards costing Gold was a good introduction.
If you're just learning the game, I really suggest you getting yourself some grapple hooks :) they are fun as hell and you can grab floating boxes with them without a need to jump to the water.
Firstly, I love your videos. They're great fun and always amusing. Just a tip if you haven't heard it already, the best way to deal with the Pirates of the Damned that protect the treasure is to have a foundation and a single wall ready in your inventory and place them before you go close enough to raise them and place a SWIVEL GUN on the wall, but make sure the wall is a half wall then shoot them with that.
Make a climbing hook to grab those cargo boxes while keeping the boat moving! The climbing hook is one of the most useful items in the game. Also I'd suggest cranking the gamma up whenever you're diving for shipwrecks to make them easier to navigate.
not necessarily true, however does make it easier. If you completely focus your skill tree in swimming and breathing underwater though; We use to do dives for the underwater Essences as well as Shipwrecks all the time. However Diving Attachment is definately recommended for newer players, but once your comfortable, swimming down on your own is a breeze.
Maybe it would be a idea to take a look in the food game. Keep and eye on the coloured arrows of foods. All the vitamins and stuff.... Also, different crafted foods give all kinds off buffs.
Need tames for the maps Raas, Bears are really tanky and are very good for the maps. Lions and Tigers are good too if you have the buffs but bears are the best. This game isn't like ark where you knock stuff out to tame them, just have to get their health low, bola them and feed them their preferred foods
Hey raas just a suggestion can you link venos channel in your descriptions. I enjoy all the games you guys play together and videos you do. I just want other people to enjoy his perspective too !
man i wish i had peeps to play atlas with its fun just a little buggy like ark raasclark you gotta hmu if u start looking for more people to play atlas with
Raas please answer is that coffee or tea or what in your cup lol I keep assuming it's coffee but I'm unsure as I'm a coffee addict I assume everyone else is as well
are there any good mods available for Atlas really? I use to play Official, but the playerbase has tremendously died that I don't even see it worth returning due to lack of players :(
Honestly the Crossbow, Sword, The Plate Armor, The Hide Armor, so many of the Atlas textures are just ultimately better. The Blueprint System is also arguably better too with Limited Crafts that require various Resource types forcing you to explore.
Tames in atlas are used more for PvP and hauling. They used to be used in farming but ever since they added windmills there's no point in farming with them. As a two man never go higher than a schooner. Almost zero top deck and box in bed and water and repair box. Put one large regular sail and one small handling said on it and you'll be the best and fastest you can to start off till you get bps.
well not nessessarily true, I've seen a couple 2 man tribes do Shotgun Brigs and some even manage a Galleon, the reality is though is you need a skilled repair for a Galleon in PvP IF your doing Official PvP you really want to be skilled before handling a Galleon, I also don't recommend a Galleon without Blueprinted Sails. However Shotgun Brigs are pretty cheap.
I am genuinely surprised by the evolution of this game. From when I first looked at it, this game was essentially empty, broken, and infested with creatures that would near instantly maul you. But this seems more than just "Ark with Ships but worse".
you have to have the map on your hotbar and im guessing both of you had a mao for the same spot with the 1st 1 you tried seeing as how more spawned when you got close to it you also have to kill all the damned atleast assuming that mechanic is the same.
Hey, I got like 5k hours in ATLAS, just contact me if you want some of these questions you had during this video answered :) (Dont worry, no backseat gaming, im used to teaching "spoilerless" etc :) )
Everyone like and comment so they continue this and the Cog or single sail ship is a great starter boat until you get a Schooner out of the 1 piece ships it definitely turns the best. Treasure maps can be done much easier with Bears, Lions or Tigers
you need a lot better weapon's to get the drops where u fight the damned try go for easier ones first to get better weaponry bps. loving the series keep up the good work
Even though it’s still in its preview mode for me right now cause I’m on Xbox One, it’s a good game aside from the treasure map glitch where whenever you go to the location it shows nothing spawns and can’t dig the treasure. They really need to fix that. It’s been what, a few months to a year since I had that issue and it hasn’t been fixed. Come on grapeshot, help the console players out a little.
This game looks almost fun. It's like every time I see something interesting like different ships something else just make it look sucky like the AI damned things that kept spawning in.
25 April is the national day of commemoration of Australia and New Zealand for victims of war and for recognition of the role of their armed forces. It marks the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War. ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. The soldiers in those forces became known as ANZACs. Anzac Day is a commemoration of the anniversary of the landing of Australian and New Zealand troops at Gallipoli, Turkey on 25 April in 1915. When Great Britain declared war against Germany for its invasion of Belgium in 1914, Australia and New Zealand, as Dominions within the British Empire, regarded themselves automatically also at war. At dawn on 25 April 1915, the first of approximately 70,000 soldiers from the Allies landed at Gallipoli. The objective was to drive through to Istanbul, take Turkey out of the war and to provide supplies to Russia in its fight against Germany. Out of these 70,000 soldiers, more than 20,000 were Australian and New Zealand soldiers. What had been planned as a bold stroke became a stalemate after the invading troops failed to reach their objective on the first day. For the next eight months they clung to the land they had captured, before eventually withdrawing at the end of 1915.
Wow.. are you guys really playing atlas for the 1st time? Diving attachment for tour ship filled with oil (tuna). When wearing the diving suit NOTHING attacks tou when diving for shipwrecks 👍
Love that you're doing atlas stuff now, I hope you keep playing it!
Love the pfp

Atlas is such a good game concept. If it was executed better it could of definitely competed with ARK.
I agree, all they had to do wat to put some love into it and it would blew ppls minds...
Yea despite how janky and ark like it was, building and customizing ships and exploring was so fucking fun. My crew and I going island to island trying to find the right resources, and got completely pummeled by a ship that had like 30 cannons on the front xD

Same cant be said for poor Xbox, worked great on Series X last year now its a mess.
@@AnkleMuncher God the rendering of textures, yes :(
I'd have to disagree that the state of the game now is 'better'

a good pair of bears can help you clear those maps and be careful of overeating, it is what drained your health in the middle of the video
Firstly, I love your videos. They're great fun and always amusing. Tames can really help with treasure hunting. Even a high level pig is useful
yeah I allways used bears, they were my no1 tame everytime I played
Best recommended Tames are Horses or Bears with a Cart and Swivel Gun.
If you have them front facing with a Grapeshot, its a cake walk.
You have to get the scoober diving attachment to be able to go to the bottom and loot those sunken ships
not necessarily true, however does make it easier.
If you completely focus your skill tree in swimming and breathing underwater though;
We use to do dives for the underwater Essences as well as Shipwrecks all the time.

He's tagged to link to mate
Crack up episode of you two scallywags, can't wait to see the next one! Fingers crossed for gems next time lol 💎🤩

Man keep it up, at least 10 videos of this series and i will be happy.
The hydra is one of my favorite bosses. Each head has a different attack type
Playing catch-up on your videos today. I hope your pirate talk has improved since this one came out. lol :P
Love to see you play this please keep it up
I'm calling your characters "Strong Arm" and "Fire Beard". May you both be as great as your undead great-grandfathers!
I swear the walls, floors and ceilings of atlas look much better than ark.
I took one look at the map and my 4k hrs was like haha, they aren't ready.
Have to say the menu sooo reminds me of early ark it's nostalgic.obviously Atlas is by wc but it's great the system transfers so well
Right! Same vibes here too mate

Hope you keep on playing this
Wait! You can fly in Atlas Vanilla now?!?! I need to jump back into the game. It's been fun watching you.
Yup! There is a glider and an airship.
Love the atlas videos! You should play atlas with the rest of the monarks.
This game is great and all official servers wipe once or twice in a year. It’s fresh and fun to always build up again!

Modded, of course, but still haha
are there any good mods available for Atlas really?
I use to play Official, but the playerbase has tremendously died that I don't even see it worth returning due to lack of players :(
Getting attacked by Mace Windu looking Solider... ''Veno Run!'' ... runs towards them 😅
yooo good video with veno racc nice
If your going to be sailing the Atlas you'll be wanting a treble hook to reel in passing floating loot. Safer that way
I was just waiting for yo guys to find the first treasure site. It didn't disappoint me at all.😁
Very overly complicated game it seems, but man is the sea pretty or what, I hope ark 2 and ASA do their oceans like this game did.
Honeslty love the crossbow from Atlas great design and looks amazing as well absolutely love the game just wish I had people to play with
Honestly the Crossbow, Sword, The Plate Armor, The Hide Armor, so many of the Atlas textures are just ultimately better.

You need a tame, like a bear, to take on undead.
I am genuinely surprised by the evolution of this game. From when I first looked at it, this game was essentially empty, broken, and infested with creatures that would near instantly maul you. But this seems more than just "Ark with Ships but worse".
Breed bears and lions are pretty good for Treasure hunting :)
bing bong thats a hydra
I love that atlas content
I hope wildcard make the asa crossbow like the fast reloading one atlas
you have to have the map on your hotbar and im guessing both of you had a mao for the same spot with the 1st 1 you tried seeing as how more spawned when you got close to it you also have to kill all the damned atleast assuming that mechanic is the same.

(Dont worry, no backseat gaming, im used to teaching "spoilerless" etc :) )
Appreciate it thanks. Will keep it mind if were really struggling
I just started watching this but I'm surprised they haven't relized to get the npcs
Try grey color map's first lad's, basic..grey...ramshackle... Green... Journeyman... Blue etc also a bull or a pig is a good first tame to help.. Gl 😎
I thought this was ark but really modded dude
Yeaaa a new video of Raasclark
Everyone like and comment so they continue this and the Cog or single sail ship is a great starter boat until you get a Schooner out of the 1 piece ships it definitely turns the best. Treasure maps can be done much easier with Bears, Lions or Tigers
😅 had to rewind when I heard seamen ship.. a what now 😂 corrupted mind, I need help.
Wow, I actually forgot that I own this game. Perfect opportunity to jump in especially since ARK completely broke for me and now is unplayable
you need a lot better weapon's to get the drops where u fight the damned try go for easier ones first to get better weaponry bps. loving the series keep up the good work
I wish I had someone to play the game with.
I wish i could play this game. Looks really fun 🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️
Don't you dare make me wanna reinstall Atlas too lol
Man I loved this game, Ive got over 1.600 hours (not a lot compared to others but yeah)

But yeah its really confusing and grindy
WTH this actually looks hella fun haha

nice video
Of course you survive in a death game
Love the atlas videos sadly the devs stop paying for voice chat
This game looks almost fun. It's like every time I see something interesting like different ships something else just make it look sucky like the AI damned things that kept spawning in.
👍👍
Just keep the sutff comming :) ALso maybe consider to get more people to play with you.
if this game had been more like an RPG than a survival ( like in the trilers) it would have been even better than Sea of thieves
Tame a bear guys, it will help a lot!!!
I wanna play atlas but I need something called vivoxvoicechat, does anyone know how to disable it?
if you do please tell me.
Never gave this game a second view due to all the bad reviews after release. Doesn't look too shabby now.
❤❤❤ i love you maaannnn.😂
Play atlas with blur he will make a good 3erd member
As for graphics and AI defo early Ark lvl
Is thus ark2?
No atlas the game made before ark like beta ark
That's would be a great boss for ark if it was gigantic...is this tamable?
Ummmm..... recommendation, don't both jump off a ship at sea.
Day 2 ❤❤❤

3rd jk good vid plz make more of atlas
Day 2.5 of trying to get Raasclark to shout me out…….
I wish they would nerf the over heating BS, totally unnecessary game mechanic IMO
Worse game made impossible to find somewhere to build that hadn't already been taking
Oh and under piracy, get the grapple hook to hook the flotsam in from your ship
Wow.. are you guys really playing atlas for the 1st time? Diving attachment for tour ship filled with oil (tuna). When wearing the diving suit NOTHING attacks tou when diving for shipwrecks 👍
