1. find images of hair and straighten it out 2. colorize the hair which ever way saturation and levels or color fill in different blend modes add unsharp mask to sharpen it a little 3 draw strands size 2 and duplicate it mulltiple times move it around and stack to save time erase the top in a straight line because hair doesn't grow that way 4 do some clean up and fill in gaps 5 duplicate the hair you can bend the tip cut the hair in half to make it skinny put two next to eachother 6 add strands to make the sides not seem to sharp 7 ctrl click select the layer the hair texture and click the square with the circle cut out to mask to selection bend and warp image to go with the strands 8 create another project and merge down everything if you want to go back to do the roots use burn tool to high light use dodge tool
For what I understood: Get some hair photos. Blonde might work the best for you to colour over it after working the textures. You'll be playing with those until you are satisfied with the result. Its really trying and trying. You copy, paste, erase, multiply/overlay, blur a little the edges... That's it After getting a good result you will do the alphas, that is the part where she paints the hair strands. The alphas are where the hair is transparent, mostly the ends of the hair but you can have some loose strands too. You can always download some Sims 4 Alpha hair to study the textures and even the way they're constructed. They're not the same ofc, bcs when one strand has transparency, it's not only a part of it but all of the strand. If you want some more explanation, I can try, but i don't do hair for neither SL or The Sims, this is only the theory behind it

nice
what brush are you using to make the hair strokes?
This looks like a simple round soft brush, in the size 10.
What are the dimensions? Width/height?
Which version of Photoshop is this?
Its a super old version haha CS 5.5.
