The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway is my favourite album of 1974 & 50 years later it remains one of my Top 10 Albums of all time. The Chamber of 32 Doors my favourite track.

Kudos on picking "Red" by KC. Best ever. Don't forget that Yes's "Relayer" came out in '74. Ditto on "Division Bell." Great album, sadly underrated. Very good show. Love it.

Reise Reise is my fave, too. It also probably the best sequenced in their catalogue (people often overlook how important the arrangement of the tracklist is to the experience of hearing a record).
Great selection Niamh. The heavy music and all round downer vibes on King Crimson's 'Red' make it a standout in the Crimson catalogue. 'Ride the Lightning' is an outright thrash metal classic. Every song on that album is a winner. 'The Downward Spiral' works well as a themed album rather than a collection of individual songs and I totally agree with you about how good it is. The NIN 'Broken' EP released two years earlier set the scene for what was to come!
My favourite albums from years ending in "4" (and I'll start in 1964 because I think the 1960s was the decade rock music exploded). I wasn't able to narrow down my favourites to just one. Connais-tu the sprints ? un magnifique groupe irlandais 😊. À ta prochaine vidéo beautiful niamh 😊.
I'm eager to hear Billie Eilish's new album. I like a lot of her songs, but I'm not so fond of the computerized instrumentation she frequently uses. I prefer the songs on which she plays guitar/piano, and you seemed to hint that the new album has more of this kind of approach. I hope so.
hey i just found ur channel and i just started listening to prog rock and the album that got me into this genres is king gizzard's polygondwanaland if u can please check out that album its amazing
Here's a question that you can address (and Google later like me). Which part of vinyl is more susceptible to wear? The outer edge which is going faster from the center? Or the center which has to deal with more friction because of a tighter radius? Love your album suggestions!
i’d say the outer corners since when you pull the album off the shelf, they can bend easily. although if you are keeping vinyl tightly packed, then the sleeve will get ring wear and that isn’t good either 😔
Perhaps a list of your favourite non-english singing rock bands? I am thinking J-Rock, primarily. I get the impression you are into the music and not so much on the lyrics.
@@the_prog_nerd You mean because of the singer, right? I don't know if he's innocent, but there's always some truth to the accusations. The music is also typically German, i.e. war music lol

Yes yes just baught the Album Ride The lighting and I also beleive this might be thier best album
1994 - "Carnival of Light" by RIDE
Metal or heavy metal, for them years would be intesting.
I'm eager to hear Billie Eilish's new album. I like a lot of her songs, but I'm not so fond of the computerized instrumentation she frequently uses. I prefer the songs on which she plays guitar/piano, and you seemed to hint that the new album has more of this kind of approach. I hope so.
Apparently her album Hit Me Hard and Soft is better than Taylor Swift's The Tortured Poet's Department. Compare & Contrast. 🤔
i wouldn’t compare the two since they are different artists, but this new billie album uses more guitars, pianos, acoustic drum kits. it’s amazing!
hey i just found ur channel and i just started listening to prog rock and the album that got me into this genres is king gizzard's polygondwanaland if u can please check out that album its amazing
2004 is definitely Leviathan by Mastodon and Panopticon by Isis for me
Here's a question that you can address (and Google later like me).
❤ your look! Xxx
I’m a Niamh too!
Perhaps a list of your favourite non-english singing rock bands? I am thinking J-Rock, primarily. I get the impression you are into the music and not so much on the lyrics.
Love Metallica. Ride The Lightning isn't my fav though. Master Of Puppets & probably The Black album.are my favs. 👍
King crimson red

Rory gallagher irish tour

Why is Avril Lavigne in record girls bedroom
For 1994 I recommend of the greatest albums ever. The first ever to be called "post rock". Hex by Bark Psychosis. P. S. you look hot 🔥
Rammstein really hanging on the wall? I'm ashamed to come from Germany for this band. OK, you also have a record from this unspeakable band lol
i believe the allegations were proven false recently if that’s why you don’t like them
@@the_prog_nerd You mean because of the singer, right? I don't know if he's innocent, but there's always some truth to the accusations. The music is also typically German, i.e. war music lol
1964?

I’m not interested in records I use her voice for asmr
