What a great idea! I love the idea of giving local businesses and the adults that run them the opportunity to interact with, and mentor, youth. Arranging to have your troop visit with a Fish and Game Officer and discuss (and earn) the Fish & Wildlife Merit Badge, and/ or touring a water treatment facility or visiting with a Water District Officer or Soil Conservation representative are other fun ways to introduce an important theme in the boy's lives while helping them advance within the Boy Scout program is wonderful!
