I just got fitted for this driver. I was looking at the qi10 max im a mid 80's golfer. The fitter said the LS would help me lower spin. Cant wait for this club to get shipped to my house.
It's a beautiful driver. I was just fit for a Qi10 LS at my local Taylormade Performance Lab in Toronto. I walked into the fitting expecting to be fit into the core or max models. But like Trottie speaks about here, I hit down on the ball with my driver. I create a lot of spin. My fitter put me into the LS head and it was pure magic. 20 yards longer, 7mph faster ball speed and much tighter dispersion (when compared to my Rogue ST Max). Don't get me started on feel and sound... it's a dream. Couldn't be happier, it's a beautiful club. Don't be afraid of it being the "players club" it's shocking how forgiving it is.
Just got fitted today and the LS was by far the best and most consistent. Less than 5yrd dispersion on all my hits with low spin rate which is also my issue. Pulled the trigger immediately!
For those looking at this review and making comments about the sales talk. Trottie works for Taylormade, he is not going to harp on about Callaway, Cobra etc. It is no different to other reviewers on UA-cam who are sponsored by manufacturers. Mark Crossfield who is sponsored by Srixon, does reviews but nothing comes close to Srixon for Drivers, Irons or Balls. Funny enough before Titleist gave him the heave ho, nothing came close to their gear. I believe trottie isn't doing anything different. Enjoyed all the reviews and the in depth thoughts on each model.
Cheers Rob. Only difference or add on is I've worked for TaylorMade for a long long time so yea I'm connected but it comes from a deep place. I certainly didn't start on here talking about TaylorMade to build an audience it's just how the vids went and people dig it. I'll be as honest as I can be but I will add that TM runs deep here so always gonna be hard to say stuff that I don't believe in which is coming direct from the R&D guys.
I wasn’t thinking of the LS model but what you said about getting steep makes total sense. I’m definitely going to at least give it a try now. Thanks ! Great review as always !
great video, I've had exclusively TM woods and hybrids for last 10 years and I'd love TaylorMade to make a new adapter that doesn't force face changes, ideal for some but a headache for others
This is impossible. To change the loft you need to change face angle. The only way around this is to have something on the sole of the driver that make it sit differently. The R1 had a plate that could be move to alter face angle. It is possible to stick a small fabric patch on the sole of the club to try and get a similar effect but it would be trial and error to get it right.
love your channel. so iinformative. all this talk about the head.. im learning alot. lots of changes can be made with the head.. what about the shafts...
It's funny that even with a tour fitting, Rory originally bagged the LS model, but this weekend, he had the standard model in the bag for his win in Dubai. I can't afford to be fitted for one, and then after a few rounds, I realise i should have gotten a different head.
The guys will often jump around models at this time of year. Many factors in terms of course set up but also the reps are being active and staying close as they settle in. Seeing a rep over multiple weeks is one of the major differences between a tour fit and a commercial fit.
@trottiegolf fittings are a great way of getting an idea but on course play is what validates the fitting. Too expensive to make mistakes these days. I will wait until my pro has a demo I can take on the course
Cool video i got to try the three models yesterday, im a spinner of the ball, the ls is great but the core was giving me a better group. But as it was just a trial not a fitting i may well wind up in the Ls. As to the feel the miss hits you do feel and know where you hit on the face but its not harsh its significantly dampened. And i am a average golfer 15is handicap and the driver is the weak point in my game
Hey @trottiegolf - when you say you play the LS 2 clicks up on the loft sleeve - does that mean the delivered loft is actually 10.5 on a 9 degree head? Cheers - James
I have played the sim 2 for the past few years because of how great it was. I hit the qi10ls amazing but fitter ordered the qi10 because lefties dont get love and couldnt try head to head. 10.5 option. I think chose qi10 given Moi would be helpful for dispersion im sure but im worried about too much spin. With qi10 ls 9 degree 121.8 head speed. 2170 with spin on 9 degree head but only launched 7 degrees and attack angle up. Would you say i switch to ls 10.5 or stick to qi10 8 handicap.
Okay that's a mountain of speed for an 8 hcp! Great going! You can go more launch for sure but if you get that launch up you gotta keep the spin in that window, albeit on the lower side it's still in the window for that speed. 10.5 Qi10 is gonna spin more & I wouldn't say go 9* as you'll have to turn that up towards higher and that'll close the face and with that spin number you have potential for a dive left as you're prolly drawing it already. I don't love what the FITR is doing here but I get it. Bottom line, gain a touch more launch, try that 10.5 first and go 1 click towards lower. Get the launch up and take out the left miss (if you have that going on) Tricky to give you directs without seeing it but from what you've said that's where I'd start
@trottiegolf thanks Trottie appreciate the insight. Yea he ordered the qi10 turned down to lower for now. It's club champion so said I can switch to the ls if not getting desired numbers or ball flight. I usually hit level to up 2 and hit a draw. But yes miss is left from inconsistent swings but overall improving that as well. Hope to come out one day and get fitted at the kingdom !
So I bought the LS version because the spin with my original stealth plus was really high. and I feel like I am losing distance to that. When I started hitting the Qi10 LS my spin was around 4000-5000. Do you have any ideas why that might be? Maybe I am hitting to low in the face and need to tee up more? or I don't know. Any thoughts?
Did you watch the vid? The whole new profile and housing of how the face is connected to the body has changed. So for quick ball speeds who hit a lot of hard range balls at cold temps you're gonna notice the stronger bond &..... more efficient energy transfer. Man I don't have those problems, 165 ball speed doesn't get it done 🤣
Yep you can bet that the R&D guys already plotting what to do with next years model.Lets see..do we change the color of the face, do we ditch the silly name? Decisions decisions.🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️

He’s an employee and top fitter for Taylormade so even if he did review those other brands, he’s not going to tell you that they’re better or you should choose those brands over Taylormade. Plus, even if Taylormade truly had the better driver, people will just say he’s biased or lying because he works for Taylormade.

Just ordered the new QI10 8 degree ls to partner with my ventus black velocore 7x shaft absolutely buzzing to pick it up around the 2nd February
Let a real player like me hit that thing properly.
Trottie appreciate the insider reviews great info.
I just picked mine up yesterday!
Can’t wait to break my stealth 2+ again to get one of these bad boys
My stealth2+ broke and TM customer service took care of me and sent the Qi10 LS. Can’t wait to get fit for this one!!
I like it, you might need a fraction more loft than your Stealth 2+ if going head V's head

Tiger typically wants more spin. Reports have suggested that the LS is very low spin. Why for he use LS?
Tiger likes spin in his irons, he wants the right spin on his driver. He defo doesn't like a spinny driver
@@trottiegolf Thanks for the reply!
Is the Low spin model suitable for 95-100 mph club head speed. I find max models tend to favour the draw bias which I don’t require
There's also the Standard Qi10, which is the one that Rory is currently gaming. Pair it with an S flex shaft of your preference and you're golden.

You have to be striking it low in the blade or towards the heel. Lower the loft and work on club delivery
What loft are you playing here on the driver
What shaft are you using?
What front weight does Rory and or tiger have in their LS models?
TM facebook shows Rory’s bag and the standard model is in it not the LS. Maybe it depends on the tournament, I don’t know.

No clue but after this years Mini then maybe 🤷♂
Looking at getting one of these drivers are they really hard to hit? Compared to the standard model, any feedback much appreciated.
higher MOI in the standard core model. Candidly speaking if you miss the center then the Core model is going to be more efficient
@ no worries mate thank you
Thank you trottie
I have the stealth 2 plus with ventus black 6s velcore but i spin it around 3000-3100 would this bring my spin down i dont really get any roll out
Yes but you also might wanna look at tee height and Angle of Attack. This will result in the loft you use on the driver
Try comparing it with the smoke driver.
I'm sure somebody will, but not here.
Does the face implode like the Stealth 2?

Next year will be the same
so this is better than my Sim2 max driver?
Carbon was an upgrade if nothing else
Generally Ls means more fairways??
Quite the opposite for most people. It's definitely not going to be as friendly to you on off centered strikes as a standard or max model.
What is the MOI of this model? I know the Max is 10k.
I think it drops to 8000 ish. This head type you can't go 10K. Totally different player profile but you'll have seen that from the vids.
