For the record I know I don't speak for all people when I say I appreciate your unbiased card reviews. I know non-sensationalized content doesn't do well, but I appreciate the honest takes. Admired when Hulkling came out and you didn't even make a video, I got what I needed to know from that.
Jeff I've made my peace with the game and will keep playing and buying because I thoroughly enjoy it. Anyways I want to know what you think of what someone said. They said the spotlight system only went downhill when they no longer had the "rest/catch up" week at the start of the season.
I hate the people who portrait Second Dinner as this greedy evil giant taking away options from the players and starving them. I have never seen a company as transparent about their monetisation as them. They are very communicative and active in the community. Yes, their system might be failing in providing a satisfying experience for their player base. But there is no easy solution to this problem. The causes are a fundamental part of the game and a fix requires restructuring from the ground up. That is an incredibly hard task, especially when getting it wrong will destroy the game and the company with certainty. You can be constructive, even negative, but let’s not pretend they are greedy for greeds sake and that the solutions are simple and obvious. I have never seen a suggestion that fixes the core issue, while not causing more issues in its implementation.
I think maybe ppl overvalue being collection complete in snap. I have not played other tcg games like other ppl, so maybe I am missing something. I just don’t get the obsession with being collection complete and having to have every single new card the same day that they are released.
@@JeffHooglandAlso because most digital CCGs have direct ways of saying “I get this one specific card immediately”. So cards you don’t have at a certain point are all cards you don’t want. But I also think that Marvel Snap is far more gameplay than card reliant for who is going to win a match compared to any other card game I have played. The balance is good enough where not having a specific card will not put you in an unwinnable position immediately.
Most definitely, she is actually anti-synergy with Gorr 😅. I would replace her with something of value. Wiccan may not be a bad idea but there are also cheaper options like kazar may work. Maybe enchantress for a tech card. If you are open to things outside of the cost you probably also have options like Mobius, Red Guardian, and Gladiator
People who are going to spend time getting upset about the way I say something rather than engaging with the actual content of what I said aren't people worth my time to begin with. It's a feature, not a bug.

This video is pure gold. I am always impressed by your ability to succulently communicate the salient points of your position.
The hundred dollar evaluation is because 6000 gold = 6000 tokens.. But no one does that. So it’s exaggerated to call it a 100 dollar card system
39:47 I love full art, but a thing I noticed with the event rn is that the promo thing is like a sticker ruining the venusaur card
Wow Jeff calling out my extensive backlog of unplayed Steam games hurts 😢😢
2:38 who could ask for anything more 😂

I think snap releases far fewer cards than most games as is. The issues are far beyond one extra card a season

It's actually not really a thing in other card games. I think snap having so few total cards makes people hyper focus on it more here.

Can you play this without misery? Just starting the video so if you say it in the video, I apologize.

Jeff always spittin facts
I think you can make good points but you sound so smug about it.
