  • This is a song from my "Vicious Circle" album, it's a collaboration with the excellent Tina Marshall who wrote the lyrics. I don't have a current link to her music, but she's a great rock musician in her own right so track her down if you can!
The full album can be found here: calumsmusic.co...
I hope you enjoy this song, and please feel free to share.
Behind the iron gates i stand and wait
    'Til you take me home
    But you never come
    Because i'm made wrong
    Because i'm defective
That's the reason the gates are here
    That's what we're told
And what if i could smile, could you love me, for one day?
Or maybe you could just pretend
And what if i could cry, would you love me?
    We could play
Maybe i could be like a friend
    So the unloveable wait
    Behind this locked iron gate
Sometimes i wonder just who put it here, can i have a clue?
Was it us or was it you?
And what if i could smile, could you love me, for one day?
Or maybe you could just pretend
And what if i could cry, would you love me?
    We could play
Maybe i could be like a friend
