If you actually listened to the video and did a few seconds of research, you'd know that there is a housing crisis across Cologne and it is incredibly difficult to find accommodation. A handful of students I know spent their entire semester in AirBnB's because it was that challenging to find a place to stay. Staying with a family for the first month was thus a great way to begin living in the city whilst I looked for a permanent flat to live in - and would recommend it to others who also find it challenging to find somewhere to live.

Hi, is work experience a requirement for University of Cologne? If yes, how many years do they accept and what postiions?
They don't require it afaik, I've been able to study without working.
