When you listen to the full podcast, Lebron actually says they wanted to switch because they wanted to preserve energy cause they thought Game was over... so he vetoed the switching when they were down big
😂 now I know why he's usually late on defense...
Yes! They should let him coach, cause win or loose, this will shut the door on the goat debate, because it would be 1000 percent on him, no excuses either way
That perimeter defense will be their downfall if they reach the playoffs
lebron is like an employee that wont retire but jordan already retired perfect record in the finals and has his own shoe that is regarded as the gold standard for shoes
would love to see him all mic'd up
What about the games they played well and won when LeFlop was injured this season and the last game one? Was LeFlop calling plays too?
And this video actually shows that LeFraud calls bad plays.
I’m not an expert at all but if you have intelligent and elite defenders like Lebron and AD wouldn’t you want to refrain from switching so much? That seems like overkill. I get the adjustment Lebron made. I also remember AD confirming he doesn’t like switching because of what he brings defensively. On that DLO podcast episode.
You switch to conserve energy because their best player is in his 21st year. Lebron wears out and becomes ineffective on offense if he is having to glue to every teams best player. He is too important on offense as well...just a messed up situation that AD is so inconsistent, never got a 3 point shot and the lakers guards are awful in perimeter defense. Even today, Lebron locked down zion and they only switched when the Lakers were up 20 to rest lebron...super sad he has to do so much for an 8 seed that will get bounced 1st round.
D'angelo Russel is the best player on that team.
This statement actually answers why some people don't like Lebron. I think Lebron's defense on Kawhi actually made the difference. All this switch/non-switch "mastermind" nonsense is just pumping ego. No need for that since his playing made the difference
Hater
@@Lyk35 cry me a river. What's you gonna do about it?
He hasn't been the best player on the Lakers since AD got there let's stop the cap ...
Lebron and AD are 1A and 1B. They both need eachother.
so why was LeBron leading the MVP race in 2021 before Solomon Hill dove into his legs?
@@darrylneiltanyag2487 same reason he won that in season tournament BS MVP when he was clearly not the best player on the Lakers during it ... Cause Adam Silver said so. Are you intentionally big dense ? Or you're just a BronSexual ? :))
If a now 30yr old AD was _not_ better than a 39yr old LeBron James, there would be a huge problem.
Regardless, their skillsets are complimentary: AD is an incredible (and consistent) defender, while LeBron is still a superlative playmaker.
@@henryviiifake8244 you keep telling your self that lover boy.... the rest of the world is done with LeFlop James, cause that's gonna be his legacy the anti-flopping rule, stacking super teams to win anything and throwing your team mates under the bus whenever he doesn't win ...
IMO they we’re throwing mixed coverages at Harden and Kawhi. More-so these are botched defensive rotations and lapses (a lot on Austin and Rui lol)
Well if ever he will be a coach. hope he get the same treatment the way he treat his coaches.
You guys have no clue about how fire bron’s retirement is about to be he’s looking to own a team he wants to own the Vegas team but the competition for that team is going to be fierce but he will be coaching his career is going to be so dope
the Goat!
slowed down euro bank shot 😭😭😭
He should. He’s good at watching his team from afar, telling everybody what they need to do coz he can’t do it himself.
You knew LeCoach right at the moment he played 1st game for Lakers 😅😅😅 LeGM did, too!!! He is the GOAT because he can play too many roles well at the same time in a basketball game than any others ❤❤❤
He was sleeping on several of those possessions as you have shown coach...
He's 39 and needs to pick his spots.
@@ZeitGeist_TV , non sense.
he needs to lead by example.
if you give up 2 points by resting to score 2points on the other end, you add zero value to your team. thats just stat padding.
@@pjc_deleon7290 It's hard to be the playing coach, it's like splitting your body in two aspects of the game aka multi tasking instead of giving your 100 percent in playing defense and not covering out for someone else's work which in this case his coach, Kobe was had a bad habit of sleeping on defense aka ball watching according to his coach Phil jackson, does that mean he didn't led the lakers by example? No right? and also even one of the best defenders all time have several mistakes every game.
@@EIite500 , also non sense and mental gymnastics on your part. Lets call a spade a spade.
its one thing to occassionally make up for someone else lapse, its not another to consistently undermine your coach.
When you mentioned that Lebron cant multi-task, you shot your argument on the foot. There's should be a separation of roles and duties between a coach and a player, in order to clearly delineate accountabilities and responsibilities. Let coaches think of plays, let players execute plays. Lebron being a diva, wants to play his part on both, so he fails in either roles. As you can see in the last part of the video, it was the lack of effort and the owning up to it that really made the difference.
Also, your feigned argument about is also non sense. If kobe had a bad habit in defense, then he had a bad habit in defense that's it. He could have improved on it. One Wrong don't make the another one right.
@@pjc_deleon7290 "Mental gymnastics" Is that supposed to be ad hominem? damn it hurts lol, first of all i saw what you did there 🤣, you only said in your argument that lebron should led them by example, but now? why you making it seems like i make excuses for lebron being a diva? Ad hoc rescue alert🤣 i only argued about your statement that "he should led by example" and you seem saying that he is a bad leader that's why i made an analogy which is kobe's situation, i didn't shot my argument on the foot, because i didn't say "Lebron can't multi task" I only said it's hard to multi task, I saw what you did there again 🤣 Strawman alert🤣 first of all we aint arguing if lebron is a diva or not, now you saying red herring things and strawman my arguments🤣 if for you all im doing is mental gymnastic, then you are nothing but full of fallacies🤣🤣🤣 try again you seem having a problem in philosophy of language🤣 c'mon don't exposed yourself that quick
That travel (at the 7:14 mark) by Austin Reeves is just so egregious and blatant, I really cannot stomach it. When you don't have to dribble the ball, of course your speed tops out and how is the defense supposed to have a fair chance to catch up to u??
A coach should be the leader, Lebron is not a leader. He can be an assistant coach
I like LeB. less and less. Even you do not see LeB. famous defensive help without helping, after 21 years in the league you should be able to position yourself much better. How many DPOY´s has the genius LeB.? Exactly. At 10th in the west, maybe LeB. should listen to Ham. Or finally retire. And A.D. is the best player of the Lakers.
im surprised Bron let Ham get away with too many noob decisions this season.
lol it’s always the coaches fault when they lose it’s so funny
Mike Brown definitely deserved more love for what he did in Cleveland even with Lebron’s great play that’s a 5th seed without Coach brown
Coaching is always blamed first
Did you watch the video at all ????
@@mattmmixes Mike Brown was a decent coach, and definitely improved after Cleveland. This issue was bad personnel around Lebron due to management, and bad relation due to obvious issues. Mike Brown and Lebron butted heads because of this. Since leaving the Cavs, his teams have always had better personnel. Was with Lakers with Kobe and Gasol, fired. Was with Warriors as an assistant with the dynasty(played well into game planning vs lebron in finals), and now he is with Sacramento with an amazing team with great players. Mike brown has never been without superstars.
@@EndlessMahogany nobody on the kings in a superstar. They’re a good team but there’s maybe 3 other coaches who get them to where MB has got them. He’s maximized Sabonis and with his playstyle that’s hard to do in the 2020s.
When he owns a team it’s going to be funny
Haven't watched the full video, and I'm new to this, but I thought sometimes the Lakers didn't switch because of bad shooters like theis or because the clippers didn't force it 🤷🏿
@@yoofij4724 be quiet trolll
Can't understand why Lakers front office insist on hiring a Novice Inexperienced "Deer in Headlight" Coach to run the Lakers team with once in a generation duo Lebron & AD. Its like building a Supercar & hire a student driver to compete in Le Mans or Daytona.
Nba been rigging games for LeBalco James the last 2 seasons
Brons defense considering his age is a sight to see
Lakers need Vanderbuild badly. You cant have 39 year old Bron guarding the best player from the other team for a hole game. You need him for other things.
No. Not possible... Especially when they will lose a game. He will leave his team before the game ends and heads to the locker room. It's odd, right?
He should since he knows everything and always make the right play,Let see pfft
I can’t wait to get rid of Darvin this summer 😔
At least he finally admits he's calling the shots.
He can stop denying it like it's not true.
He's never had full control of anything
How terrible! He’s forced to take over coaching from a dumb rookie coach!
Players can veto gameplans if they have rapport lol. That's not unique to LeBron
But when Kobe/Jordan does it they’re jesus y’all are the biggest hypocrites 😂😂
@shepardice3775 Dlo drew up his own game winner, but it that was LeBron: OMG LEGM HAHA HES CONTROL OF EVERYTHING, “LEGM WHY THE LAKERS MADE THIS MOVE OR THAT MOVE, etc.
also anyone else is better than Ham, y’all do realize that the lakers are possibly 5/6th seed if not for Ham love affair with 4 guards and Prince earlier in the season
Can you plz start making videos of other teams than lakers and their players, past 30 videos you have made 7 been about lakers players , thats 23.33%.. kinda high number for past 5 months but fan is fan i quess.
He’s been coaching, Hams just there to be a scapegoat
The coach and player has not happened since bill did it and won the championship that’s crazy to think about
Lebron already coaches the Lakers Darvin ham is a coaching atrocity. He took lebron and AD out of the game against the wizards and they almost blew the lead completely up 15 with 1:30 left in the game then suddenly its only 5 points with 17 seconds left and the wizards had the ball like what an atrocity and Darvin didn't even think to put lebron and AD they had to get up from the bench themselves to go on and save the game. Ham sucks
Facts
Yeup he’s clearly Legm. Has complete authority to veto coaches decision if he deems it unworthy
Nice to see Coach giving bron his flowers
Why not he's LeCoach & LeGM 😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😂
Darvin ham ain’t it, this coming from a lakers fan
Darvin Ham is a horrible coach. I'm not sure how he got the job.
You and every Lakers fan.
nice thumbnail btw
Its honestly wild that no matter how sorry the supporting cast is, you can never count them out. Lebron is the lakers 😂
I think it’s more they have 2 players who can play at all nba level in the playoffs.
The supporting cast isn't that bad. This team won less games because Darvin Ham is terrible an average coach and we have 4-5 more wins rn at least.
Actually decent supporting cast they are a couple guys away from being Denver or timberwolves good imo. Thunder are loaded but young. But the lakers are almost there, and any other coach may have them in that same team tier with best duo.
@@DEMI-sq5uf Our biggest weakness is AD is our only consistent two way player LeBron can't be all the time because he's 39 and the other guys are specialists even though D'Lo, Reaves and Rui have gotten better defensively I wouldn't call them two way players.
Maybe Vincent can be but he needs to get in shape same with Vando he also got injured again right when it looked like he turned a corner offensively.
Our supporting cast isnt bad at all i actually think its the best in the league on paper we have
2 18ppg scorers christan wood and spencer
Good on ball defenders Vando vincent prince and cam
Its really just they havent been healthy and they aren't being used right (EDIT) I didnt even mention Rui jax and Max who can give great mins
No, that team does much better when Darvin coaches. Coaching also entails accountability, something LeBron does not have when it comes to basketball. He's content with making everyone think he is some coaching genius on his podcast because he can call out Xs and Os, but that job is way more than that.
coaching a team starts with how well you know the game. Darvin is good at managing players, because he was one. Outside of that he is still a rookie when it comes to versing quality coaches.
@@21Kolb obviously there will be hiccups, but every time he is allowed to do his job instead of accommodating a guy who thinks he knows everything, the Lakers look like a good cohesive squad and his best weapon i.e Anthony Davis performs at all time levels. The Playoffs run last year proved it, especially after LeBron went down after the All Star break. Even when he was on the floor his performances were not that great but everyone else became the scapegoat as always.
The problem with this video judging by the comment section is that lebron is in complete control of rotations, timeouts, subbing, defensive and offensive play style when it’s simply just not true lebron has a ton of haters these dudes are so insane they literally think he’s making every play call and decision the entirety of the game for the lakers yes lebron does call and change certain plays but I can assure you it’s because of Darvin ham aka Mr hands in his pockets is simply not a good coach
Of course LeBron is the coach when they win but when they lose the actual coach gets the criticism 💀
I mean LeBron gets trashed no matter what happens, win or lose. It's just that we only see Ham get trashed when they lose so it's more noticeable.
Bron will never be out of the NBA. For sure he will coach a team until he dies
its going to be crazy once lebron won a team,he understands and way smarter than mj,there is going to be a lot of trade and coach changes until lebron finds the team that can compete for championship.his been doing it as a player it will never change which is good because it will only make his team better .
Darvin Hands In Pocket Ham
They should let him try this and then when his team isn’t successful I wanna try to see who he blames.
Exactly. in current state he gets to play the coach if successful it's he's merit, but if team loses, it's coach's fault.
@burlacuninel5981 ur defending Darvin ham? rlly? this is the same dude that ran a 5 guard lineup last season vs the mavericks with Austin reaves at center 😂 I remember the game vividly
Not sure if there is another guy on the planet as equipped to make coaching decisions in game then lebron
Do you watch the games?
I can't watch a whole game anymore. LeBron travels, flops, zero D,just stands there, winning doesn't matter just his stats. He's the best????
All this shows me, is how Darvin is clueless. Which I already knew, but this is just more proof.
I prefer LeCoach over LeGM after retirement for sure. Not even close.
We all meme about LeGM, but he's actually bad at being a GM since he has so many biases with choosing people he has handshakes with.
Imagine how difficult it is. Coaching LeBron freaking James. Especially when all you are was darvin Hamm
These warrior fans will always go to no end to try an undermind Lebron 😂😂😂
1 of these LA superteams should be playing in the Finals.... but... there's a Joker they can't defeat in 7.
I'm just glad to see Bron paying defense
Sugarcane Up
Of Course he’s already the coach though ! TB if basketball 🏀
Bron might pass mike in number of rings when he starts coaching!
no
Le#Accountability is happy to accept the praise of being LeCoach when things go well, and deny that it exists whenever they completely blow up.
Which, I should add, is always when he is playing. They never play that bad when he is out. They usually play better.
