Same. The carpenter Brut concert led me to this band.. didn't care for most of their songs but love the heavy beat on this track. Plus it's different. Metal can be repetitive
First the widowmaker, now this, the Carpenter Brut collabs are insanely good. Would love to see one with Dance with the dead and one with perturbator as well.
Also a metalhead but Gunship opened up the whole Synthwave genre for me. It refreshing now to be able to discover all these new artists and songs and a nice palette cleanser before going back to metal. 😁
@@davethurlow6677Yes, absolutely. Besides that, I've become somewhat more accepting of synths in metal - to a degree that is: guitars must remain dominant imho. And that has opened up new avenues for me: Scandinavian doom metal I find to be pretty palpable at times and I'm back into VH all of a sudden.
@@Skulliver-t8qFunny what makes people tick isn't it? I think that maybe it's because Gunship manages to tap into a similar kind of excitement as when we finally were able to buy our very first record and played it on a second hand, scrubby record player for which we did all kinds of lousy jobs all summer to be able to buy that one. Or the first video game on an early game computer (mine was a ZX Spectrum). God, I miss that magic. And Gunship breathes the magic of that very era.

Wtf? Gunship just made a song with Carpenter Brut and Gavin Rossdale?!? This is a sign that we are approaching the singularity and Crossing into the fourth dimension
@@hannahg5216 Hmm, good question. One of my favorites from the late 70's was from a band called Yellow Magic Orchestra, the track is called "Firecracker". If you're into the futuristic stiff you can go way back to some of the pioneers of electronica, Kraftwerk and check out their catalogue of music from their earliest stuff. Also another great name in music is Giorgio Moroder, another pioneer of electronica, great track called "Chase". I'm checking out a video now on youtube which you might like listening to ua-cam.com/video/Eiijm2GhKAA/v-deo.html
I came for the artwork. I stayed for the music. Wish I could hear everything perfectly like their older stuff. (Partially deaf now the words are hard to follow and alot of the layer of sounds are gone). Still good stuff, thankful for the subtitles :)
I think you guys are surrealisticly good. Even having Gavin Rossdale who somehow compliments Westaway's crazy good vocal performance is insane. Please go on tour with Carpenter Brut. 🙏
Another great song! Gunship always delivering the best for the fans. Best wishes for much success to the 3 guys that make Gunship such a great project: Alex Westaway, Dan Haigh and Alex Gingell
Every new song gets me even more hyped for the full release. You're the only Band that manages to have Albums full with songs I enjoy and listen to on repeat without skipping a single one.
Hearing this for the first time, at the beginning of Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, in a movie theater was so exhilarating. Definitely one of the best movie intros of all time.
I had a feeling Carpenter Brut would do another song with them at some point. Their stuff is just so wonderfully heavy. I really hope they do more work together like they do with Tim Cappello.
【Shades Finnish Pirates】"you wanna live forever?" i remember watching Conan The Barbarian acted by Arnold Schwarzenegger for the first time, those words sink deep as i had turned from occultist to a christian and i really want to live forever
I obsessively (autistic here!) listen to you guys on Spotify, and every time you come out with something, it immediately goes on repeat for months. You're so good. Thank you for all of your hard work!
I am so happy that I invested in good headphones! Gunship was one of the Main reasons! What a powerfull track. Your colaboration with carpenter brut is always a pleasure to listen!
Every time I hear the lyric 'Can you hear me call your name' I think of that song from the Crow Soundtrack.. Burn, where they said 'Every night I burn, every night I call your name.' It's not a bad association, I'll tell ya that much..
If Gunship ain’t playing at my funeral I’m not going…

Gold!
I love it
😂
😂😂
Gunship, Carpenter Brut and Gavin all in one song? This must be heaven.
And catgirls! dont forget the catgirls ! A combination of everythign perfect.

Nothing wrong with that, they were a god send for young guys like me going thru Puberty lol.
Nah you arent old, just classy.
Gunship is actually so fucking good they might actually have the power to make retro wave mainstream. Gunship will go down as legends.
Sooo good!
Every new song is instantly a banger and being played on repeat.
The interesting thing is, the more it is heard, the better it gets ❤️🔥
Gunship don’t fuck around, son.
100% me too
I normally don’t like songs upon first listen but these singles have be exceptions, every tracks a BANGER so far. Can’t wait for the HEALTH collab
that little "ding" at the beginning of the verse is everything
Subtle yet somehow hard af
So rare that an act comes along where every album is good. Gunship is a master of their craft.
I feel the same, they were also like that in Fightstar. Every song and album were great
My thoughts exactly. Last time it was this good was Linkin Park early albums.
Don't forget carpenter in this
They only have 3 albums
Every album? Theres only two 😂
I am a metalhead wtf am I doing here???!!
I asked myself the same thing many times…. It’s better to Just go with it lol

totally! Dance with the dead fits perfectly well with Gunship!
Carpenter Brut recent collaboration with Sierra called Power absolutely slaps aswell.
i want a gunship x dance with the dead x carpenter brut x powerglove collab
That would be the most epic collab.
Complete Domination is the collab with Perturbator, they did it a while ago, it's my favorite song.
Not ashamed as a metalhead in my fifties to say that I've been headbanging on Gunship for years now. You guys raise hell! 🤘💣💥

Carpenter Brut and Gunship together. Good days ahead.
Said that when CB teamed up with Ghost....

Nice touch featuring Gavin Rossdale! I’m not afraid of a little Bush
Gunship is back. I've missed this groove.

Get her that ice cream quick 😂
A live Gunship show would be absolutely insane. This is the pinnacle of the genre
GUNSHIP is a goddam mastermind, the production on these tracks is absolutely insane. Absolute bangers, each and every one

Gunship, Carpenter Brut, Midnight Danger, Perturbator, Dynatron, Scandroid, Mega Drive... my top synthwave references 🤘⚡🎹
I love you guys but then you stick Carpenter Brut into your epic vibe and you take my breath away. LOVE IT!!!!

I’d walk the streets playing this on a boom box if I could live and work in Japan!
Gunship keeps getting better. All Gunship songs are good songs 🎵

The entire album absolutely slaps, but this track might be my favorite of them all.
Absoluetly love this! Can't get enough! And who does not LOVE Gavin Rossdale!

Another proof that Gunship doesnt have a single bad song. Thank you for this amazing synthwave-rock masterpiece. Simply amazing!

Gunship and Carpenter Brut, a match made in heaven

This is a master piece, really grate song, I am obssesed with it.

Damn this is slick. Gunship, once again pulling me into the sensuous sounds of the dystopian retro future of my 90's cyber punk dreams.
Gunship never disappoints. 🎹 🌊-heroes 4ever 🤠✌️

Gavin is next level. Hell, of an actor too.
That signature carpenter brut sound is so good
Best band I've come across in a LOOOOONG time!
The imagery reminds of ghost in the shell and bubblegum crisis, and the song is just sick with legendary features. Can't wait for this album 🤘

The imagery could be straight out of a remake of Dominion: Tank Police, with everyone's favorites Anna and Uni Puma. 🙀
