Can we all take a moment to give some love and respect to Charlie's table? I am always amazed at how it hasn't broken yet. I made this and it was oohh weee smack the table good, as was the king cake pound cake recipe. Been watching your channel for a few years now and you never disappoint. Always coming with the good stuff. Happy New Year.

I also live in a Mardi Gras city (Mobile, Alabama) that king cake looks great, shout out to New Orleans from Mobile Alabama. Let the good times roll tide roll
I made this King Cake. I had never had it with the cream cheese filling. I only added some chopped pecans. Unbelievably delicious! I'll never make it any other way. Unfortunately, I didn't have anyone to share it with so I ate the whole thing and enjoyed every bite! I can't wait to take this to someone's celebration when its safe again. Thank you for this recipe!
I left a comment a year ago and never ended up making it... until now! Still cooling off but looks good! Stole a small bite of the bread cause it broke when I moved it off the pan. Braids pushed back together nicely though. Yummy yeasty dough, definitely fluffier than the king cakes my family usually gets from Tubbs hardware in shreveport. I did one exactly like you did, and did one with a can of strawberry pie filling lined next to the cream cheese. I will say that using a fruit filling definitely makes the dough wetter and not bake up quite as beautifully, I might have also overfilled it. Hopefully will still taste good though, and will look fine once I do the icing & sprinkles. I'm excited to bring these to a boil & cut into the fillings!!! The braids are beautiful but I think next time I'll just do the simpler donut shape, easier to fit more filling in then I think. Thanks for the recipe! You seem super chill btw, like I'd wanna smoke a j with you hahaha

Charlie, you be reading my mind. Everytime I think about cooking something your channel pops up with what I'm thinking about, definitely making this one this week. Thanks again, Love you and your channel. Your recipes are TTTG (Tap That Table Good)!!!!
Your King Cake looks just marvelous! Had a cake years ago and was unimpressed but when I got notification from you I had to try again this cake. And it looks wonderfully delicious!
Not all of them are dry. Try getting one from either a bakery/ cake/ donut shop. Or, you can try making one from scratch. Just don't purchase one from the grocery store. Those ones tend to be dry, hard, and not so tasty.
I love when you wink!!!! *Heart Flutters* I also love the information at the beginning you provided about the recipe and about New Orleans! You are a very good teacher and very passionate as well...that definitely comes through your work and videos. Thank you!

I haven’t had king cake in years. A woman who worked in my old office was raised in Louisiana and she used to have them sent to the office every February. My lord so good.

Hey Charlie, I have had had King Cake before and find them to be dry. But yours seem to be moist. I just love watching you cook. Have a blessed day 🙏
Not all of them are dry. Try getting one from either a bakery/ cake/ donut shop. Or, you can try making one from scratch. Just don't purchase one from the grocery store. Those ones tend to be dry, hard, and not so tasty.
@@user-rn5iu9ol7b thanks Jevitta for the info.🙏
@Jean Breads are usually dry. When you add fillings to them it does make it moist! I am happy to hear that you enjoy my channel. Thank you!
Jevitta Faith That is true!
I really enjoy watching your show Charlie! Thank you for all the yummy goodness
I am happy to hear that you enjoy my videos. You're welcome!

You're welcome Tyler. Happy that this video was helpful.
That cake looks really good
Thank you Chris!
I love your videos but try different editing font styles to spice it up then we can vote on which the best. Your content is #1 regardless
I can try different fonts! I try to stick to one that everyone can understand vs picking on that makes my content look outdated. lol Thank you!
You are the Bob Ross of cooking! 🙌🏼

There's a video here on UA-cam where Paul's pastry that originated the field kingcakes came from and they demonstrate their king cakes feeling and it has a whole lot more filling to it and it tastes a whole lot better
