First time seeing Harsha being so ignorant(Cant blaim doll because he is already one) by changing from Sanju to Pant. Sanju is batting at No.3 for Rajastan, he scored more runs than Pant, He got better average than Pant. He is the captain of Rajastan and handle the situation and pressure better than Pant. And in what sense are you saying Sanju messes up the order? Seriously? Are you guys pushing us to hate cricket with dirty politics? the one game that always united India.
Bhogle said in his UA-cam channel that he would have Sanju in the team on all days ... extremely disappointed

Sanju Samson has an average of 18 in 22 innings in T20 Internationals.
22 innings are enough chances i dont know how many chances Sanju fan army wants for him.
He is one of the most inconsistent T20 Player in International matches.

Sanju must be batting at No3 or 4. There must be no compromise on that.
This is dumb. Sanju playing at 3 messup the balance but not Pant. Pant plays in a small ground. Pant plays after Mcgurk going crazy. He doesn't have the same pressure as Sanju. After 9 games KL average is 46 vs Sanjus 74. And Sanju is 2nd on the leaderboard. If Sanju doesn't get picked over Pant and KL, I will laugh at the selectors when india face another lose in WC. To me India lost the WC final because of slow KL. History will repeat.

Ok now the squad is announced, this is why Harsha is one of the greatest minds in cricket analysis . I would love to see Rinku in the squad but this is how it works . We never had a middle order batter and finisher like rinku inT20Is and he performed so well in last 12 months in ipl and t20i but now he is probably not even gonna make it to squad all thanks to kkr management who did not give him oppurtunity to play more balls this season
The fact that no jaiswal says how much stars are overtaking Indian cricket with absolutely zero results, at least with winning icc trophies a biased selection like Rohit and Virat at opening could be papered over, but with zero trophies to still keep trust in stars is just so bad for Indian cricket.

If India are to pick Rohit and Virat as their top 2, why didn't they play a single T20 international in 2023. Why have they been playing Jaiswal, Gill, Gaikwad, Kishan entire 2023, just for Rohit, virat and pant to walk in without playing a single T20 international in entire year.

I guess becuz Hardik was injured when BCCI had their meeting for T20 WC. Therefore they asked Rohit to captain considering his performance and captaincy in WC2023.
No batter was able to seal the wicketkeeper slot. The one who was doing well (Ishan) got into trouble with BCCI. Therefore wicket keeper slot was up for taking based on IPL performance.
No thoughts man. Virat and Rohit were there for the WTC and CWC, you know what is it right? Another few ICC trophies, both of which India reached the finals(thanks to them). Now that they were free from their duties, they came back to playing T20s.
Hardik was always stop gap captain. Who cares about dumb ICC trophies, revenue & footfalls are generated by superstars.

@@naimalum That's a good analysis, I think Mayank Yadav can provide some element of surprise..Samson has been in the circuit for over a decade now.. he has been captaining RR for a sometime, looks calm and matured, leads from the front, is batting really well.. I believe in the team I have selected he is the most appropriate guy, Bumrah was my second choice, but he hasn't even been a captain in ipl yet.. And Rinku has done extraordinarily in international cricket, he is averaging 89 with a strike rate of 176 in international cricket, how do we leave him out? kkr has been frugal in providing him opportunities, this is not his fault.

How does Siraj is getting picked? He hasn't performed a bit in the IPL. T20Is nos aren't great either. I would rather have Sandeep Sharma. The guy is showing signs of maturity bowling beautifully and taking wickets in every phases of powerplay. And Have Natarajan is in place of Arashdeep. Arshdeep hasn't been great throughout the IPL. Natarajan's been excellent in middle and death overs.

We are not winning any world cup when our number 8-11 dont even know how to hold a bat. You will be competing against England Australia West Indies etc who can bat till 9-10. Harsha's squad is stupid at best. You cant have Hardik and Jadeja at 6-7 when there is no batting after them. Hardik bowling not good enough, batting not good enough. I'd rather play Jadeja at 7 and Axar at 8, Rinku at 6. Also, no Pant please for t20s

Same as Samson PR. At least pant got one or two formats right and sanju even struggled against teams like srilanka.

@@ShubhamSingh-ni1db agree brother but he debuted in number 5 and also most matches he played are at number 4 and 5 which always needs to go from ball 1 and most times when Indian openers go away I down and 2 down has to build and 5th player must go down from ball 1. Pant failed in it. In case of Samson he got most chances as number 3 again if wickets are lost he has to build and accelerate at same time but Rahul case is different. Tha number of chances Rahul had he should have been successful by now.

Simon, as much as we want Pant to be the 3, he is not it. While he has gained fitness, he has simply not been fluent with his batting consistency. It is stuttering as it was pre-accident Pant. Wonder how many greats miss this part. Yes, we would definitely get a lot of sympathetic support from Indian fans for his inclusion, but given the trophy at stake, he will have to take the backseat. This does mean that he will not be playing a few games. Sanju has truly turned to a leader and contributor to be ignored by any international team. This is his time to help India get the WC home. Simon doull's team looked good but I wish to make few changes. I want Sanju in place of Pant. However Pant gives a left hand option in the middle but he still needs to play international matches, he is not that good in using DRS too. I want to replace Mohammad siraj with Sandeep sharma based on current form becoz he is been consistant in IPL from last few years. I want shivam dube to bowl in IPL so that he can replace Hardik completely. I will keep pant as backup in place of KL rahul.
