Hi C & J - the noise of the crickets is crazy - hopefully there weren't a lot of other bugs buzzing around and biting you. 🪰🦟 Absolutely gorgeous beaches, great views, water is wonderful and the view across the water. So most of the hotels there are all inclusive? I also noticed that it seems to cater to the UK clientele - there weren't any ads for German, French, Spanish, Italian, etc. breakfasts - they were all for British, Irish or Scottish. The sidewalk / boardwalk is gorgeous tile all the way - very nice. Thanks for a great vlog. Many hugs to you both - cheers😎💚☘🍻!!!!
Yes most of the hotels along the beach front are all inclusive. You do get lots of nationalities who visit Turkey especially Russian and German but they mostly cater food wise to the British as that would be the majority nationality of tourists. The beach is beautiful, wish I was sitting there now with a cocktail in hand 🤣🤣 The cricket noises are unreal but didn't get any bites thankfully.

@@HangoversHandpays That is very kind of you. Definitely will look at the blue bay hotel, we are looking at adults only as we have older children now but still have to travel in July!
@@1utubeutubeutube1 my recommendation for adults only will always be the cettia beach. It's small and friendly, on the beachfront with it's own jetty and the staff can't do enough for you. It also helps the wine and food is good here. The blue bay is slightly bigger while not adults only it does have any adults only pool with it's own bar.

@@1utubeutubeutube1 90mins to 2 hours as there is a stop on route, however a private transfer which is our new prepared method is an hour and 15 mins

Great video, can you tell me how long the Airport transfer is please. We are thinking of bringing our grandkids next May, we usually go to Altinkum.
We paid 80 pounds for private transfers and it was the best thing as we got to resort in under 1.5hours 🥰 it's a beautiful resort and perfect for kids as there is lots to do too!

We brought all sterling. They prefer that for shopping. We changed our sterling into lira each day as we went along every wee shop and restaurant does this for you and you get a better rate out there than here in the UK

Yes, you can use other properties if you buy food and drinks 🍻 we often do this on the beach front hotels 🥰🥰

Found the alcohol had gone up about 80 percent from year before, but very cheap drinks and food in bars and restaurants right round the side of the harbour .will be there in a few weeks for more fun🎉
Yes we definitely found the prices had increased from the previous year but still reasonable compared to what we pay in the UK. Hope you have a great trip

Are you looking for all inclusive or self catering? We love Marmaris and there's definitely some really good options for both.

@@thebigfish75 we loved the place we stayed this year in our other videos called club palm garden keskin, it was clean, pool was big, always got a sunbed, room was big enough for 3 and it's very near the beach, bars and restaurants. My sister has actually booked to go there next year after watching our videos too. We have also stayed in club turquoise which is great big pool, clean rooms friendly staff. Heard good things about t and g apartments and they were next door to club palm gardens we went in for food and the staff were nice too.

Are those sun loungers on the beach free? Or do you hire them/pay?
There are lots of free sun loungers all they ask is that you buy some drinks or snacks from them.
How did you find the Blue Bay Platinum? Did you guys make any videos on the hotel? 😊
Yes we have a whole series on the blue bay platinum on our channel we stayed there in 2022. If you have a look in the playlists you should find them 😍 we loved the blue bay it's a fab hotel

@@Adfamere09 we went back in the summer of 2023 and things had sort of risen slightly but you still had set meals for 12 quid and beers for 2 quid so really not too expensive

Yes, we always bring pounds and just change it out there as you get a better exchange rate in resort. All places accept pounds

Good morning Roxanne and thank you for watching the vlog ❤️. I just checked and the mersoy is in icmeler which is the next village up from Marmaris. It's a very nice place with a good beach and plenty of. Bars and restaurants but it's quieter than Marmaris which suits a lot of people. I googled mersoy and it is in a good location and the rooms look good. Are you self catering or all inclusive?

If you like European coastal cities with culture and small hotels, it's better to fly to the Aegean.
If you want Turkish mega hotels, Disneyland and culture, it's better to go to Antalya (Lara, Belek) on the Mediterranean.
If you like northern European forests, coastal cities, mountains and culture, it's better to fly to the Black Sea, Trabzon for example.
..Skiers are better off flying towards the northeast - Uludag or Erzurum (Palandöken) e.g. 🙂

When I go, I will be making a b-line, for the kebab, retailers, and, the Taj mahal, you can buy, Burgers and pastas, anywhere. Also the small town looks good. Although, I will buy a steak meal.

Not entirely accurate. The beach is grave,l the brawling that goes on is to be seen to be believed. I've lived in the old town for years and I prefer winter. No peasant tourists fighting right under my bedroom window. It's beautiful granted but it's the tourism that is destroying the place.but also sustains the whole thing.
