"Made during one week in 1991 while I was shooting a spot for Stride Rite at Novocom in L.A ... Directing for Limelight pictures. I was looking for animated Background sweeps and kind of went crazy. It was a lot of fun, since patterns can be both very fast, and very compelling when finished. There are no narrative images ... just the dance of shape and motion within the strata cut time sculptures. Very little of these were ever needed or used, I just couldn't stop using up clay."
