😁 Since I've been living in Europe I learned a lot. American Classic Rock is quite popular. Also from what some of my friends have told me, even their parents are fluent in English. Even their parents who are in their 70s and 80s. The only sad thing spread here from the US are Cigarettes. I even see kids 10-11 years old smoking. 😢

On the original recording Glenn Frey DOES say “lay”, but at a concert a few years later he accentuated the replacement word “sway” and continued to sing “sway” until his tragic death at 67. Never used the word “swing”. But you’ll get no argument out of me because I have listened to that song through headphones a thousand or more times.
