Another reason for the Roman Catholic Church (RCC) elimination of certain writings were the desires of Constantine whom the RCC had to be partial to in order for rewards given back. The most prominent of all would be the truth that Yahoshua/Jesus was a vegetarian. The RCC would corrupt scriptures to indicate He was not because of their love of meat and also that of Constantine. I am currently struggling with meat myself, about halfway to where I really want to be. I do not see being a vegetarian as mandatory, but it definitely helps.
