- This is a video of my luxury Christmas break staying at The Dorchester, one of London’s most prestigious and deluxe hotels. I stayed for Christmas in The Dorchester’s top presidential suite, The Elizabeth Taylor Harlequin Suite and of course brought my Lamborghini SVJ 63 Roadster along with me.
The Dorchester has always been one of the top hotels in London, situated on Park Lane overlooking Hyde Park. The Dorchester opened its doors on April 20th 1931 and is a favourite among royalty and celebrities.
The famous Hollywood actress, Elizabeth Taylor often stayed at The Dorchester, her favourite suite where she always stayed was The Harlequin Suite. The pink marble bathroom was personally requested by Elizabeth Taylor and it is believed that she received a phone call in the pink bath confirming she had won the part of Cleopatra in the Hollywood epic. Now The Harlequin Suite has been named after her.

An outstanding suite. However, you did not showed us the spa, gym, boutique at the hotel, cocktails at the bars. I am not familiar with Selfridges Department store. Is that like Bergdorf Goodman's or Bloomingdales here in NYC? Did you have a valet that would run you your bath and press the clothes for you to drive the lamborghini to the West End or the Opera and see a show? All the best and thanks for sharing.

Clearly not anymore the suite made for Elizabeth Taylor: sterile, modern, impersonal. That goes for most, if not all, London hotels that have been "renovated". End result: Probably worst value for money in town. Sad.
