Hi Jason, If you are on a budget I would recommend getting a second hand kiln as Im not aware of a reliable budget kiln. I know of potters that have purchased cheap kilns from china and they have worked well however as soon as they have had issues they haven't been able to get the support to fix issues. You can get some reputable kilns at a great price and the bonus is the seller will give you details as to how they program the kiln for certain firings ( which usually takes a while to work out with any kiln) , where to get element sand spare part etc.
Hi Baylasan, I use Primo Pro W2502 White Stoneware Clay with Grog. we have small quantities avaliable www.clayplay.co.nz otherwise just google your local ceramic supplier to see if they sell it.
Love it - thanks for sharing ☺️ I can tell from your accent (or to me lack of one) you are from Nz? I am just starting my pottery journey, I went to one “whirl on the wheel” class and decided pottery was for me haha I have now bought a wee kiln too 🙈 although I got a secondhand China Painter so can only do low fire items but it is so much fun :)
Hi Laney, Great to connect with another kiwi potter!!! ohh is so fun and so addictive :) If you would like any specific videos let me know. Happy pottering
What a lovely voice☺️
Wow thanks for this! I wish I could make mugs and cups but I dont have a kiln .. theyre darn expensive
Glad you enjoyed. Yes, They are a big outlay for a hobby. You can always have a google and see if a local potter or club offers a firing service.
See if you can share with someone in your community
Hi Clay Play, I was just wondering if you have any recommendations for a budget kiln please?
