The groove in the pliers also allows the user to twist wire efficiently and neatly, whether for securing fasteners or, as I used it to secure a Peli-Case lid with 0.8mm stainless steel wire.
Lock Wire Pliers aren't something most people carry, but the Crunch does this perfectly, and has wire cutters!
I have the original Leatherman Super Tool, the Crunch and the Micra, and I consider them to be exceptional devices.
My Super Tool and Micra were EDC along with my beloved favorite tool of all time, my Victorinox Swiss Champ (this is my 47th year of EDC a Swiss Champ!).
Self locking Vise Grips are unequalled in their versatility, and I bought my Crunch after reading about a motorcyclist whose gear lever sheared off at the clamp, so he used his Crunch self locking pliers as an improvised gear lever to get him home!
As a motorcycle mechanic and motorcyclist, I appreciate the versatility the Crunch offers, I also consider it to be one a visually appealing tool, which looks really neat.

gadgets/pocket-tools, it’s like I never knew what I was missing in my life until now. I can’t believe I went so long in my life never having found the missing puzzle piece to my heart. Until recently, I simply assumed everyone felt the way i did… I just figured it was stuff you just didn’t talk about and so I never did. I just accepted things the way they felt from day to day and that’s just what I got accustomed too. It wasn’t until I was in my mid 30s that I first asked myself the question… “Am I really sure that’s it’s normal for a grown man to just randomly, for no reason at all just find myself crying without even noticing it?” I’ll just be going about my normal day and I’ll think I’m feeling totally fine and I’ll see myself in a mirror as I walk past and I’ll notice my face is soaked in tears! It took me years of coin ring and thousands of dollars to discover that I had no clue what was wrong with me and where all this trauma had come from that’s inside my head… but once I found your channel, I realized what had been missing my entire life. I watched every video you had in the first night I found your channel. For the first time I felt full and happy. This is now what I think people must feel like when they’re finally fulfilled and truly free from the lamo life I had before finding this channel. I could go on and on forever but I’ll end thing here by simply saying… thank you for giving me my life back and helping me see that there are things worth living for. I owe you everything

Love my Wave! I wear it almost everywhere. I'm so used to it I sometimes forget I'm wearing it and I go places that don't like you having something with blades on it. Like airports (lol). I put it in my checked bag when friends and I went to Europe one year. The day we left London for Amsterdam I forgot to pack it and didn't realize it until we got to the security check point at Stanstig (sp?). Was pissed because I just knew I was about to lose a $100+ multi-tool. Put it in the tray, watched the x-ray tec do a double-take, look at me and then reach into the tray to pull it out. He looked at me, reached to his belt, pulled out his Wave and remarked how much he loved his. He then handed it back to me and told me to enjoy my flight. Dodged a big one there.

This is the first multi tool that I’ve seen and actually want to, and prob will, actually purchase since those gerber ones that had the plier head slide in and out of itself. My job supplied us all with one and I loved flicking the pliers out! Everyone one the crew did that shit and would fidget with it when sitting around but they were used every single day multiple times and lasted years and I still have mine somewhere even tho it was 16 years ago when they gave them to us.

I carry the the crunch in my mini tool bag I got from county comm with the extension and the ratchet and one of those heads that fit everything (forget the name) with saw blades rem grit. Roll of duct tape and shrink tubing and i keep it mollied on my backpack. Silky gom boy and a tomahawk and awl. Haven’t yet run across anything in the bush or urban that couldn’t rig or fix. Handy as hell 110%

I'm still a fan of the Skeletool. Had it forever and I'm sad they don't sell replacements for the knife. I've sharpened it so many times, the blade is almost gone.

Ive sworn by my wingman for years but that crunch looks like it could be more versatile

I like how they put the wire stripping diagram on it. There are those out there that don't read instructions and probably thought it was a bottle opener.

I think Leatherman and Boston Dynamics should make a handyman robot.

After using mine for couple months. Its a 2/5 for me. The lock to unlock causes the l.m. to explode and needs to be reassembled almost all the time. Which is no fun. The biggest issue now is those small screws on the side loosen and if you dont constantly check the l.m. you will lose one and the entire tool becomes a expensive fidget toy.

Great tool, if they made an XL like 50% bigger it would be nearly perfect.

but at that point I think I'd rather carry a small pocket knife + dedicated vice grip.

Where are those attachments stored? In the handles of the tool? Or are they kept in a separate place?
