AS I GREW UP SOUL TRAIN CAME ON AROUND 10:30 OR 11:30 SATURDAY MORNINGS IN THE LATE 1980'S AND EARLY 1990'S BEFORE MOVING TO 12 NOON DURING THE SHAMAR MOORE ERA IN THE EARLY 2000'S BUT I'VE NEVER SEEN SOLID GOLD WAS IT LIKE SOUL TRAIN OR DIFFERENT LIKE AMERICAN BANDSTAND!! WOULD LOVE TO KNOW!!

Also, the graphic animation was done by Dolphin Productions who also design the animation for other WPIX-TV movie packages.
Would be fun to get that many stations. Get all kinds of prime time and reruns. Even All Star Wrestling.
