As a traumatized Mariners fan- it's only June. The Mariners are still the Mariners, something always happens 😭😭😭
I've been a fan since the nineties and I agree with you !!
Totally agree scares me that national media is loving on my mariners
The new DH rule makes sure pitchers see no accountability for their errant throws.
Do you think the Cardinals are not going to hire Cora because of Bloom? That's bass ackwards thinking. Who's the better baseball mind?
I thought people were over ERA, look at WHIP too, Gilbert is elite
With Yamamoto someones lying 15 IL hopefully his rotator cuff doesn't have any major tear
Metacarpal fracture takes 2 months to heal usually , rehabilitation hopefully mookie is back in September
I would expect Don Mattingly to become the next Blue Jays manager
Yoshinobu was always destined for the IL. Small pitchers always get hurt and have short careers (Pedro was a shadow of himself past 31) and Japanese pitchers typically get hurt because they have to step up to a significantly better league with the changing ball (their ball has sticky stuff). We've seen most of the NPB pitchers get hurt when they come over, usually in the first few years. Shohei has already had major pitching injuries twice. I think Yamamoto is fantastic, but that may end up being a truly awful deal.
Yeah the injury concern is very real, but iirc he was supposed to be more durable and had no major injury history. I guess well have to wait to see if the contract works out as it is too soon to say (3 months into his contract).
@@jadedtermite2513 definitely too soon to make a call. He adjusted so quickly and has been phenomenal. I just have concerns about his longevity. I already thought he would be done as a top end pitcher by 30 at the latest given his size and mileage on his arm already. If he misses 1 or 2 of the season in his prime, it really is hard to get much value equivalent to a Gerrit Cole deal. That is the type of contract you give to a HOFer.
@@wwpjd28 thats a fair assessment
Mariners starting pitching staff getting lost in the all star talk .. especially after they swept away the Rangers this weekend
2 players worth more than a few countries is crazy
Should the Dodgers trade for a veteran infielder, starting pitcher or both????
They just traded for an infielder a few days ago, Cavan Biggio from the Blue Jays. They are getting back another starter, Bobby Miller, from the injured list. Also Clayton Kershaw is about a month away from returning to the active roster. If there are good options out there in trades you never say never, but they are not desperate. At least not yet...
So, if the Dodgers are not healthy at the end of the season then it’s a first round exit
Yeah Ken, Counsel was a free agent. You are accurate with that. But that's not the entire story. Counsel and the Cubs KNOWINGLY went behind Ross's back to take his job. Still a douchebag move on the day it happened yesterday today and tomorrow. Karma is undefeated and it applies to everyone.
The AL west is the definition of mid though.
As a Mariner fan.. FINALLY
Yes, the mariners swept the Rangers…what happened to the video where the Rangers won the series against the Dodgers in LA? And they were not at full strength…that wasn’t a story but, this one is 🙄
In my opinion: Pitch clock is killing arms. Time rules are killing baseball while trying to bring in fans who don’t really love baseball. All the new rules suck except for nets to protect fans. Don’t ban shift kill it with strategy. Get rid of ALL time rules and little league extra innings runner on 2nd Joke. Get back to playing baseball not hurry up and get this game over with BS. Ty 👍🏻
There was an increase for many years in pitcher arm injuries before the pitch clock.
@@scotthorstmeier ^^^
Only an issue in the majors!
The league really needs to take a deep deep look into what’s causing the injuries as of late. Could it be the sticky substance ban, maybe. Could it be pitch clock? Maybe. There’s so many variables that play into this it’s hard to place the blame on one singular thing.
@@scotthorstmeierthe pitch clock expedited the injuries.
Dodgers… oh boo hoo
Yeah Dodgers will make the playoffs only to lose in round 1 to a team with less then 90 wins cos it's what they always do in October choke
🧂
Bros so mad lmao. Dodgers rent free in his head.
We usually sit out round 1.
Oh boo hoo Dodgers. The Giants have been dealing with injuries all season losing their #3 pitcher yesterday
Nobody cares about the giants
Go look at the pitching on the injured list for the Dodgers, nearly their entire starting pitchers from last year. Kirshaw , Bueler, May, Gonsolin, Miller, Urias, Sheehan. Graterol, Kelly. Due to return soon or recently returned Bueler just recently returned to the rotation, Miller is to pitch this week, and Kirshaw is likely next month. Urias might never return to the Dodgers
Same for the Giants@@garhumpston5495
@@robertohernandez2258 Some of you Donkee fan can't have a civil conversation. Spend over a billion dollars and still struggle. The Dodgers haven't one a real WS since 1988. So actually nobody cares about the Dodgers
@@garhumpston5495 How can you include Urias on that injured list?
Dodgers lost Yamamoto too ha. No playoffs for you
The NL West is full of mediocre .500 teams and the pathetic Rockies...the Dodgers will win the division. To quote a Talking Heads song: Same As It Ever Was
He may be out for now but look and the pitchers they have coming back from their injuries soon
Rooting for injuries is wild. Your mom raised you wrong. Lmao.
