The beach footage was the actual proposal. Blair was hiding in the sand dunes and secretly filming it from a distance, although I cropped the footage in tighter in this video so you could see what was going on! The parts on the beach are the real actual proposal parts, the rest where they are at the bar and stuff is added on to make the video longer and to show how true love can happen. Kinda like a music video for his song.
The other parts are from the music video they did together. So it's basically a montage.
Sinister Crow but it looks a bit staged since she signals blair to come at the end idk is confusing to me because of that but is her proposal I guess she can have it however she wants it lol
Probably since Blair helped Alex set it up and he had her hide and film it, he probably told Elle where she was filming it and they looked and called her over. In her vlog after the proposal she said he set it up and told her it was for a photoshoot but then started singing the song and proposed. In her new main channel video she talked about how a long while back he had told her to go pick out a ring design but then she didn't hear about it again for a couple of months and she had forgotten about it until he did it on the beach. The night before Alex had asked both her mom and dad for their blessings, so Blair got Elle out of the house for a little bit. Haha
amny I think she signals for Blair after Alex tells Elle that Blair is hiding in the bushes :)
luna Blair helped Alex with the proposal and after Elle said yes, he probably told her that blair was filming it and nodded to Blair and Elle told her to come over to them. If I were her I wouldn't want my younger sister to be in a random spot of the beach while I celebrated with my fiance.
I can't help but to think of Blair in the bushes when I watched this. lol

So sweet! I'm sorry people are trying to pick this apart. Blair could have easily gotten other shots before or after the actual proposal to get other angles. The magic of editing and all. Also, they're set back into the dunes a bit, not on the area of the beach where everyone can see from all directions, and if Blair was far enough away, she could've been easily hidden or ignored.
I personally would never share something like this on UA-cam because I'm a very private person, so just enjoy that Elle has decided to share this much. She certainly didn't have to. :)

This is so cute - I cried! For all those who are confused, the parts where Elle is dressed as a maid is from one of Alex's music videos. The footage on the beach is the actual proposal - Blair was hiding in the bushes and was secretly recording it.

Yeah, the song in this video is Alex's new song Elle said he used to propose and isn't finished yet. But You should check out the actual music video though for Wake Up Call, the vid in this video.

I find it weird that people are making it their mission to dissect this video and find out some hidden thing about it. There are all these comments saying "It looks fake" or "Blair would have been seen in hiding". This is a happy time in her life and you're missing the point entirely. The parts that look professional are from a music video they were in and it made for a cute montage to mix it in with their engagement footage. Period. Now enjoy the video and let her be happy. Elle, you deserve nothing but the best and there are plenty of us rooting for you. Ignore the conspiracy theorists...

elle, i love your videos, so dont get me wrong... but its silly to pretend blair was "in the bushes" filming all of this! first of all, she comes from all different angles... including one in front of you - and in front of you is the ocean! we can see clearly that she's coming from in front of you while Alex is proposing, meaning she was in plain sight! which is fine! but why pretend like she was hiding the whole time? you wanted to film it and share it and thats great, but i think its silly to be deceitful. there are no buses in the ocean lol
Actually, you can clearly tell that there are small dunes surrounding where they were sitting and stuff.
Shes right in front of them! Aka along the water.. Which we can see from the video, doesnt have a dune she can hide behind. Plus, shes moving around, which would also be seen. I think then proposal is very sweet its just very obvious she wasnt in the bushes the whole time.
Girl unless you saw with your own eyeballs that blair wasn't "in the bushes", don't say it didn't happen the way she said.
Laura Denning Elle was completely turned away from the camera when blair would have been by the ocean. She couldn't even see her. At one point she was in the bushes, and even if she moved from there, elle still couldn't see her because at that point Alex was proposing and Elle was completely focused on him. Obviously when your boyfriend is down on one knee with a ring in his hand you're not scanning the beach for your sister with a camera saying "Blair, make sure you get this shot!". Geez.
