So yeah I'm getting married next year and your updo's are on point! I'm a need u to be my stylist for my wedding, lol. I have been on here trying to find a cute style that I can do without having to flat iron my hair for the day and well I found you and now I'm hooked! Great job hunnti!
LOVE this hairstyle! It is so my style, thanks for the tutorial. I have a wedding to go to later this month and I'm planning on styling my hair this way. Keep the videos coming!
You are very creative. I'm getting some inspiration from your styles. I'm Jamaican, and my sister lives in the Bahamas, you both have a similar accent. Keep up the great work, I love it.
I knew it!! Within the first 10 seconds I was like this girl sound like my ppl lol. Its always nice to come across fellow Bahamians and great video btw, keep up the good work. I'm trying to build up the courage to do the BC after being perm free for 17months :O
hi....like your style and boldness, great *thumbs up*. u had me poleaxed when u were doing the flat twist around the sides, i was like what the hell is she doing lmao. then u said u werent too good at plaiting your own hair.... . if u dont mind 2 tips.. look up a vid on senegalese twists and use that technique to do your twist. (i like your styles with the loose twists but im so interested in what styles u would come up with, with tighter plaits. # 2 . ive been plaiting my own hair for over 10 yrs and im good. close your eyes. yup. close them and feel what your doing and not look. works for me :D. looking forward to more from u
Thanks for the compliments! I do have four videos with styles for box braids and marley twists. (I don't know if that's what you mean). Also, that's really great advice! Next time I braid my hair I'm going to try closing my eyes and thinking about what I'm doing more. It's going to take much practice. If it works out I'll credit you. Thanks ;)
love love love these looks! about how long did it take you to braid up the hair and how long have u been braiding for? cause i want to try a similar style but i can't cornrow for the life of me :'(
oh im so in love with your hair. iv been natural for almost forever but my hair hasnt grown much and the edges aint good. do u hav advice on how i can get it to grow longer and thicker and improve the sides? the hair do is pretty too
if I may be of service to you :) Every natural has to find out what works for her own hair by trying different products and protective styles. I at one point even tried to make a "super product" by combining all the best brands in one spray bottle...BAD IDEA! LOL But, no matter what product you use make sure you have an awesome leave in conditioner and wash out conditioner + shampoo, keeping your hair clean and moisturized will aide in hairgrowth. I wash my 4c hair at least 2x's per week. the 1st time with shampoo and conditioner and the 2nd time only using conditioner. Look up the "Baggy Method" on youtube, this is a great way to deep condition every other week. Since I have been doing the baggy method my hair is thicker with less breakage. Also, for your edges leave off the tension for a while! I don't know what your fave styles are but if you want to be able to have sleek styles with smooth edges in the future you have to grow them out now! Any styles that you are doing that require you to use a bunch of hair gels, tight head bands and tight braids that pull on your edges have to be stopped for a little while...like stopped for 1-2 months! Recently my edges were thinning and about 3 weeks ago I decided to only use styles that were gel-less and no more high buns (gel and headbands) and flat twist and flat braids (pulling on the edges). It's only been 3 weeks and my edges are growing and blending with the rest of my hair. I don't use "hair grease" on my hair/edges, I use conditioner watered down in a spray bottle and olive oil from the grocery store, simple stuff. Massage the oil into your scalp, spray your scalp with water, spray and work the conditioner in your head from root to tip, but be careful at the roots bc if you use too much the conditioner won't mix well with the oil (it's like water and oil don't mix) and you'll get chunky white globs. I am happy to tell you more about stuff like detangling, the baggy method do's and don'ts, wash and go's, or whatever you need help with. I've been natural for two years now and it was tough bc I did it alone, so reply to this or email me if you want more advice. loveb5127@gmail.com I'm Monica :)
I want to but the shrinkage for the natural part is ridiculous!! I need to just do it cuz every time I PLAN to do it on a certain day I always chicken out
