This game is ridiculously good. I was so surprised with how much I enjoyed it. It looks good, the voice acting is great, the story keeps you engaged through out, its actually really well paced in my opinion and I think I had like 3 or 4 times where I was like "Okay I'm nearing the end of the main story" the game was like NOPE here's more content for ya.

Saw the clip of Papa Shroods absolutely destroying a survivor with his motorbike, and died laughing. I had to see what else he did.

I literally got platinum on this game 3 times if not more, thats how much i love this game. Over all I completed it like 8 times

i couldnt platinumed it cause clearing a horde is too scary for me and i suck aiming in controller

@@daveacerodriguez2476 Try it out! It's creepy but ridiculously rewarding once you finish a horde. I've cleared every horde on the map and platinumed the game.

Criminally underrated game. It's not a 10/10 but definitely didn't deserve all the negative reviews.
This is one of the best optimized ports of all time, if anyone has any doubts about how it runs you're gonna be fine.

I really enjoyed the game. 10/10 great story but the game left me wanting more. Played it on Survival II difficulty. Big hordes are scary af when you get their attention.
I did my first playthrough on 2x Survival and it was painful but very rewarding. The early game when you don't have sufficient firepower was a whole other level of terrifying when finding hordes xD

I played thru the whole game, and I loved every minute of it. Altho I am the kind of person that sets their standards so low I can't be disappointed but I really enjoyed playing this campaign, sometimes the missions did become a bit repetitive but I didn't have a problem with that.

Finished the game yesterday, going back now to see peoples reaction to the game because of how amazing the playthrough was for me.
This game is so good, hope we can get Days Gone 2 in the future.
Unfortunately they already announced there will not be a Days Gone 2.

Sony didnt allow Bend Studios to make a nee game even though this game sold very very well since the reviews at launch were very very mixed. Therefore Bend is working on a new game but that doesnt mean after that new game comes out that Sony might allow Bend to make Days Gone 2, so in the near future days gone will definitely not get a sequel but in a couple of years maybe. By a couple i mean like 5-10 years
The jealous xbox kids have a habit of trying to derail most Playstation exclusives. This game and TLOU2 got hate for no good reason. I played both completely blind and both were great games.
I love open world games
I love zombie games
I love post apocalyptic
I love third person shooters
I love looting
I love having a customizable mode of transport
And yet i couldnt get into this game. I tried so hard

@@headhoncho4114 no that would mean that i only play these games so much i lost interest. I particularily played other games so it would be fresh. I was hyped for the pc release but it just didnt do it for me. It was a bit boring tbh
@@sykomaniax187 idk how far you played into this game. But the first hour or so drags. After the first hour or so of the game it gets much better. I beat the game on PS4 and absolutely loved the game over all. I just bought it again for pc. Once you start fighting hordes this game really picks up.
@Balakeh Absolutely. The tutorial takes way to long and it feels like you have training wheels on for so long. Then just outta nowhere you run into a horde and shit gets crazy. That lumber mill horde is a gaming memory I will remember forever. Actually just about every horde will be remembered.
I was just cruising around looking for gas for the bike and ran out. So I parked it and ran up the road to a small town in the snow. I was searching houses and noticed more and more freakers, I was kinda like wtf is going on. But didn't think anything of it. Got up on the balcony and started popping heads. That's when I realized my mistake. I was in a rundown house with a horde swarming outside.
Had to be at least 50 of them trying to climb up to me outside while more poured into the house and up the stairs to me. I ended up jumping from the balcony and running for my bike. But when I got back to it. I remembered I was out of gas. So I stood my ground and fought them. It was a long hard fought fight. But I ended up getting eaten but the horde. Truly an amazing game. The pay off for getting past the tutorial is worth it.

What the hell I just started playing this a week ago because I got it for free with my PS5. Great timing shroud! I’m not that far in yet only to the part where you confront O Brain but I love it so far. The graphics are beautiful and I like the survival mechanics/ looting/ crafting. Would be interested to know what you guys think?
Edit: I have finished the game and it has been one of the best single player games I have ever played! There is still so much to do after the story also. I wish Sony would give Bend (the developers) a chance and let them make Days alone 2, would me exciting to see how to campaign goes on and how multiplayer with friends would be.
The best zombie game so far, the longest you play the more new stuff you find and unlock, its amazing

Great game. Platinumed it on ps4 and even did the gold challenges. Talk about tough! Would leave to see shroud try the challenges mode.
The fact that he started playing it almost a month after I started playing it for the first time. I’m a little over half way through, but work and moving into my new apartment slowed me down a little bit. Love the story though, and really love the characters and the worldbuilding. The gameplay can be a little derpy at times, but it is a really good game in my opinion. I’d love to see Mike take on a Horde, because I’m sure he would do far better than I have XD. Please play some more I’d love to watch!

I came into this game and started on survival 2, I ended up loving it and I platinum trophied the game on it
Even though the reviews ruined the game. This is by far one of the best zombie games right under the first last of us.

It had issues when it released hence the bad reviews. Later patches fixed the bugs and other issues
somehow the gunplay in this game is so satisfying.. especially the headshots :D

@Balakeh I'm on PC, so no bugs and fantastic optimization (unlike Horizon) for me ;)
@@RevJ7 i played on pc and encountered one crash in whole playtrough so they did a great job, not to mention runs like a charm
Almost every noticeable issue was patched within 48 hours of release on PS4, so I doubt any issues with the PC port will still be problematic.
Keep playin this bro. From experience, the game gets better as you play. (Hordes,etc.)

You’re in for a rough(er) time. This game is hard in general.
It is very difficult... if you don’t know what to do, and how to do it correctly.
But the story is always what I came back for, even when I put it on Hard ll. No matter what happens in this game, the story is always amazing.
Love it when shroud plays single player games. He should play the new version of Skyrim coming out 😁

@@bruh6-960 no, because the metacritic reviews were just average and user ratings were average, though the user ratings jumped immensely after bug fixes, the official metacritic review hasnt changed and thats what sony cares for mostly
@@krol9181 I pre-ordered the PS4 version and they patched everything major within 48 hours. The reason there won't be a sequel is due to poor day one sales. That was largely because of the usual hate against Playstation exclusives from jealous xbox owners (like everyone who didn't play TLOU2).

Nice! One of my favorite games. The story was a bit awkward at the beginning and it’s a weird hero archetype, but the game is actually extremely good.

Days gone is top tier. Top three games I've ever ayed
This game was amazing. Unfortunately I didn't find much replay value. Once I beat the story and cleared all the hordes there was nothing else to do except go find every single collectible, which I'm not about, and redo hordes, which I already did with ease, didn't see much point in redoing it.
Install mods, change the gameplay, increase the size of the hordes.

-Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare is the best, dont cap to yourself
-The Last of Us 1 is the best writing and characters in a zombie game
-Dying Light is the best gameplay
-This game is a pretty solid balance of all the elements, but the writing isn’t that great
-Plants Vs Zombies is the best game ever made
