When we removed Partial Key dependencies for 2NF and 3NF in Step 4 and created N22Trips in to 3 different tables, we intially created the Compound Keys because we could not make StudentID a Primary Key because it had duplicates, why didn't we remove duplicates like we did for 2NF in Step 3 as it is a requirement for 1NF? Please help I have my Exam tomorrow
Ma'am, can you explain how teacher and lesson has a one-to-many relationship? In the question, it is said that "...each lesson has a single teacher, but but classes can have a different teacher for each of the four lessons"... Here, it is said that each lesson has a single teacher...How is it that one teacher teaches 4 lessons a week? In addition, different teacher for each of the four lessons... Kindly explain. Also, for conceptual ERD, don't we only have to mention the attribute and for physical ERD we mention attributes, datatype, field lengths and key fields? Do we have to specify which is primary or foreign key for a conceptual ERD? Lastly, when you have created the relationships between the Booking, Student and Trip tables, why didn't you tick, "Enforce Referential Integrity" box for each of them? Thank you.
@@MisoSoup03 Thank you for taking the time to explain to me, but, my confusion still hasn't been cleared. I'm only confused with this sentence: Each lesson has a single teacher, but classes can have a different teacher for each of the 4 lessons. Can you explain what this means?
@@duchess138 There are 3 things in this sentence; teachers, lessons and classes. Teachers are the ones teaching, classes are the students learning and lessons are when 1 teacher comes to teach a class. So this sentence means that in every lesson, there's only 1 teacher and every class has 4 lessons in a day I hope that helps, let me know if you're still confused
@@MisoSoup03 HI, can u explain those 4 bullet points if its ok with u, u explained the last one pretty well and im finding it difficult to grasp the rest, it could rlly help bcuz my exams on wednesday😅
@@khizraansari8263 sure, I've already explained the last one, so I'll explain the first three now; The first one is "each student studies a number of subjects" this is pretty straightforward, it just means that every student has more than 1 subject. The second one is "for each subject studied, each student is a member of one class which has 4 lessons a week". This one is quite confusing but it means that every subject has classes. Every class has 1 subject but every subject has multiple classes. And every class has 4 lessons (of that subject) in a week. And the third bullet point is "each subject on the timetable has more than one class" which is also pretty straightforward, it just means that every subject has multiple classes.
Ma'am, can you explain how StudentID and TripID are compound key? Please let me know as soon as possible as my practical exam is this friday. Thank you.
@@amnaislam4020 I have the same exam as yours on Wednesday. there are greater chances of the paper beign a part of database and video editing. If you see the pattern of the past 2 years papers you will notice that most of them included normalisation especially the feb/march ones. My guess is as good as yours but there are greater chances of database.
Why don't we include subjects as an entity? Moreover, I don't really understand why the relationship between Teacher and Lesson is one-many. Can anyone help me please?
One teacher teaches many lessons, but a lesson only has one teacher , as in a teacher could teach 10 math lessons but the teacher for all the math lectures would be the same

in 10:02 how did u insert the data into the tables? My one just doesn't fit inside it cleares out the table
she put a text boxin side the table. To fix the issue, try changing the background to "no-fill" as that works for me

Mam can i know why we dont consider the to pay table
is it because it has 0 in it?...
it was said in the question to not consider it, a reason could be because it will always be changing just like ones age
Thank you so much mam but a small humble request if you can share the working files with us.
