Thanks. Its funny because I used to hate Lleyton Hewitt earlier in his career. Didn't care for his personality (yelling c'mon in his opponent face, arguing with umpires, and of course incident with James Blake. However, I also watched him grow and mature into a much more professional and respectful player over the years and began to admire his grit and never give up attitude. He was able to overcome larger, stronger, and sometimes technically superior players with pure will and determination, to become a real inspiration. He also (IMO) had the most technically superior lob shot in tennis. You gotta respect that!

I saw Alex de Minaur hit a beautiful lob a couple of days ago. It's the first one I can remember since Lleyton, who was superb.

I dont even like watching tennis that much, but when Hewitt used to play, I really liked to watch him play because of his speed and never say die attitude. Im still hoping Alex the Demon can go to that next level. He has a similar game to Hewitt but seems to be missing that something. I do think he really needs to work on his serve though.

i love that lil' right legged hop he does soon as the ball leaves his racquet, it's like he rubs it into his opponent "suck it" lol

To be fair, that is the natural follow through and resent for that shot on the forehand side because all of your weight is on the right side (for a right handed player). I use that same follow through when hitting a forehand lob (learned it from watching Hewitt). Notice he doesn't do it at all for backhand lobs because his weight is more centered.

That's the follow through. I tend to hop as well when hitting the ball in general which may or may not be ideal.
But in Hewitt's case, he is putting his entire body into that lob to gain as much top spin.
