Eric, do you use the "full" Archicad or Archicad solo? Would the solo be adequate for a sole proprietor architect with residential, apartment buildings and light commercial?

    Hello Eric,
when I'm trying to draw rectangular wall, as you are showing here, my archicad 14 doesn't show any units, so I'm not able to chose the correct length of the sides of the walls or modify the existing ones. Could you help me, please?
Thank you very much for your tutorials

Is there a function that allows you to move walls around like the hand for panning the drawings and models? Make it black!
This thing for having to select a hotspot at the end of a wall and then observing it take off in some crazy angle forcing you to input the angle and the distance that you wish to change things is frankly very stupid. Having to repeatedly do this is so time consuming that it's absolutely disgusting.
Surely there is a simple functionality somewhere that would allow you to move things around without having to enter the angle and the distance without a lateral number is very absent case of absurd programming. Surely early on Archicad must have had a simple line drawing tool that would not balloon out all the damn time! Yes that is clever but most of us architects would use it only .02% of the time.
The melding function that is also seen in Chief Architect and I presume Revit is nice but getting the objects to move around is a bear.
I worked out a hot mouse for Microstation years ago which would switch from line to circle quickly and easily and continuously. This stuff reminds me of that.
Mice are often rarely properly designed for cad and they most certainly could be.
It strikes me Eric that you could apply some pressure to get things perfected.
I have gone through the Archicad menus of Pallets and task bars. Since you cannot mess with the palettes I focused on trying to aggregate similar functionalities rather than have so much repetition.
The overall look of Archicad sure needs color and careful designing. This looks like engineers work and not a sophisticated design Architect's approach.
I particularly liked the fact that you brought in the Home Builder who thinks... it sure was fun to see how you drew him out.
While I felt that he is cramming a bit too much on a sheet he clearly had some beautifully organized sheets and we share the value of neat organization. His use of the blue line on the inside face was very interesting and philosophically correct.
    Thanks Again!
