Here in Quebec (Canada) the health care workers have been called our "Guardian Angels" during this pandemic ... so I decided to make a few and donate to our local BMP Hospital !! Thank you for such a great tutorial !!
I LOVE these angel dolls!! I've made a dozen of them, but not with hot glue ... Mine are larger and I've taken a lot of care to make high quality dolls using good quality wool in 3-ply. Then I've hand and machine stitched all of their little outfits and made proper wire wings with white stockings then I hand stitched pretty sequins and beads on and glittered them before wiring the wings to the dolls and then dressing them. I had some gorgeous wedding dress fabric left over in a polyester damask with a dramatic 3D profile that has thick silver lamè threads running through the profile, so I used that for her underskirt and bodice. Then 3 layers of white tulle are gathered around the waist with wide ribbon 'sash' stitched at the waist to cover the gathered fabrics. Her necklace is made of tiny Swarovski Crystals, stitched around her neck, and instead of a halo I've woven a tiara-like crown with 24g silver wire using more Swarovski Crystals and Swarovski Glass Pearls. There's a long twisted wire 'pick' that's secures the crown deep down inside the doll's cotton wool head so it sits up perfectly. Then I bought some $2 white candles which are in a glass drink tumbler and I sit each doll over the candle as a candle cover and ... voila!! My gift is ready to give!! I'm keeping 2 of them for my own table decorations and now I'm making an extra large one for the top of my own tree .. She's going to look spectacular when the tree goes up on 1st December!! Thanks so much for teaching me how to make these little woolly dolls - I've had so much fun making them and dressing them up!!
I used to make these when I visited my grand mothers. Both of them always had lots of wool and laces for me to enjoy. Thank you so much for reviving that memory. :)
Many thanks Linda. The basics you've shown are amazing. (I was only looking for a basic different angel shape for the kids) You have inspired me to maybe let them have a little of my lace, as its christmas, lol. Many thanks again. We may have card or fabric wings for our angels but you have inspired it all. Many thanks x
I have been seeing these made, and knew they were easy, but could not figure out how........ thank you! Your's is the 1st video i have found that shows how to make the body.
This angel ornament is just gorgeous! I definitely will make one! TFS! Awesome. And the Lord gave this little angel special permission to wear the lovely necklace. LOL (smile). Have a blessed day.
She speaks slowly and quietly, it is wonderful so delicate. I am from the little Kingdom of Belgium in Europe and i do speak French and the Nederlands! MERRY XMAS TO THE UNITED STATES.
Super cute Angel, you’ve created! I’ve always seen them but never knew how they were made! Thank you ever so much for sharing with us how they are made! Such a lovely tradition your Mom taught you, so special 💕😘
What a great tutorial, thank you! When I make my Xmas angels for cards or decorations I always give them a little "choir book" to hold, made out of cut and folded paper with a cardstock cover at the front, and I shrink down some music on the photocopier to glue on the side of the book facing the angel, but you could just write some lines with dots on for the music if you prefer. . These little books can be as small as 1/2" square! They're fiddly, but they look so cute in the Angel's hands. If the Angel has a face I just glue on two jiggle-eyes and a tiny pink or black 'O' shaped mouth so that she appears to be singing. Happy Holiday crafting everyone!! It's time to prepare for the silly season!!
@@homelifewithlinda1985 I love the idea of pitting your heat gun in a glass tumbler! I went one further and lined my cup with aluminum foil because my glue gun drips everywhere : )
haha ME TOO! They are the lenox butterfly set...I have plates, cups, saucers, coffee cups, measure spoons and measuring cups. It was last year's Christmas gift! Thanks so much!
Oh wow my daughter is turning one in 10 days and I'm of course going over the top with her winter wonderland party ...lol... making crafts like crazy... This angel is the most beautiful one ive seen so far, i commented on the wrong item earlier but im sure it was nice. Ive been looking for small angels that i want to make and i found it, it reminds me of the olden days and your colors are just super. I really appreciate it and you do such a great job. Again thank you very much. Bless you. Kim
These are beautiful 👼 thank you for the amazing tutorial. Just a suggestion to save some money have you tried gorilla glue sticks? I use those for everything and they don’t run as much, or make as many glue stringys. I use a DT clear trivet and keep the gun level on its stand. It works great and saves money because I’m not loosing so much glue. Just an idea for you if you want it. I love these angels so much I can’t wait to try them. Again amazing tutorial thank you 👼
These are so pretty and feminine. Thank you for showing us how to make them.
