The premiere of Jamala’s new video I Believe in U. It is directed by Ihor Stekolenko, who has shot over a hundred videos for Ukrainian and foreign performers. The video shooting lasted for three days in Sintra and Ericeira, the suburbs of Lisbon, and Alentejo area, Portugal. The video featurs Fabio Taborda and Vanessa Taborda (a married couple, starring as the main character’s mother and father), as well as Rodrigo Duarte (the hero as a child) and Bruno Lagrange (the hero as a teenager), known for his starring in the famous Portuguese TV-series The Queen of Flowers. The role of the main character as an adult has been performed by Gonçalo Vilardebó.

Great song. I think this is one of the best things about Eurovision - being able to discover artists I never knew existed and discovering their other work, both before they arrived on the Eurovision stage and afterwards. Although "1944" is a great song, that is just one of many incredible pieces of work that Jamala has done throughout her career, before and since.

Пожалуй одна из лучших песен, которая прозвучала в финале Евровидения.
Потрясающий клип. Хочется мечтать и верить в то, что все что ты делаешь - это маленькие шажки к исполнению огромной мечты. И!!! Прислушивайтесь и присматривайтесь к каждому кадру. То, как мальчик, собирает все самое дорогое в лодку, как он скатывается с холма. Не буду писать о том, как именно я интерпретирую эти кадры. Для каждого это своя отдельная история.
