- welcome to another video 😚 this time it's a little bit different, though... it's the first sit down talk video on this channel!!!! how was it? 🥺
i was very stressed and awkward just sitting there and talking to the camera and it's actually my second try on this video, i filmed it for the first time on the day when i also filmed the unboxing of my nunew doll but i wasn't satisfied with it so i decided to film again 😅 i think this time it's slightly less awkward 😂
and this time i included polish subtitles! at first i was actually going to put some thai subtitles instead but i quickly realized that i was being overly ambitious and in fact i don't have enough skills to write so many thai subtitles by myself and of course i'm not going to use google translate... 🥲

Vera, thank you very much for sharing tboughts with us. I am an American who retired and moved to Hua Hin last October. The city has very nice beaches and the cost of living is very reasonable. The city is very easy to get around, and is not as crowded as Bangkok. I have met people from all over the world. I've been in the US for 17 years and I'm moving back to Thailand this year, but I'll never forget what Thailand is like and I think Thailand is the best for me even though I've been in the US almost as long as I've been in the US. I live in Thailand, but here there is nothing good for me and not much that is particularly memorable. Everything in Thailand that cannot be found anywhere else in the world is my opinion.

Will not be easy. I moved in to Thailand in 2022. Before, I lived in the UK for 10 years. Before I moved here I visited Thailand for 4 years, and every year I spent 2-3 months in the country to travel around, discover and find out how is the life here before I move. Without plans is a bit harder, but not impossible. Do a TEFL course and after find an English teaching job, that is the easiest way to live in Thailand on a long term. You can get English teaching job without that, but much harder and will pay much less! The jobs foreign can do here is very limited! If you really want to stay long-term you have to figure out very fast how you can work/make plan... Because money can run out very fast and living here and being on a trip is much different! But good luck, nothing is impossible, but not forget this is not the EU where you can stay in the country without any problem and find a job easily!
Learning Thai is a minimimum and make your life way better. I'm learning Thai myself and the people much different if you speak, even a little bit Thai. 🤣 Learning Thai is challenging but fun and rewarding! Anyway I'm originally from Hungary so our countries almost neighbours 😁
I love my life here. I have a lot of free time so I travel around and make videos about the places, events, etc and share on my channel. Because I'm a photographer/videographer I love to do my hobby even not much people find my channel.
Did you have the opportunity to watch the final round of the women's volleyball vnl 2024 where your Polish national team competed in Bangkok? Your team finished 3rd in bronze. The atmosphere in the stadium was crazy. 🎉
nooo i haven't watched but my uncle actually really wanted to come! but he gave up on the idea because there are no direct flights from poland and he'd be too stressed to do a layover 😅🥲 but woooow bronze is nice 😍

Here in BKK, range of 40 km. is still the outskirt of BKK though administratively it's on another adjacent province. Hence you're still living in the vibe of BKK.

Very rediculous. Most foreigners have comments how lives changed after they can/know Thai. Once you get local friends, life will be a lot easier. It doesn’t mean knowing Thai will limited your ability to apply for job, On the contrary, it will increase her working opportunity.

She could start from being a language teacher. If she can Thai, she could be a co tour leader to coordinate with local tour companies to bring the european customers here. Or in the future she could open a Polish restaurant or a resort. You never know.

Apply for a job as English teacher in Bangkok. I am sure you will get it and can make friends with a lot of Thai students. Working permit is not so important because you are beautiful teacher. Every school wants you.
i tried to apply to quite a lot of schools already but most of them want native english speakers only 😔 thank you for the positive vibe, though 😂 maybe i shouldn't give up just yet ☺️😋

@@verainbangkok No, don't go to local school jobs if you're not really interested in. You'd better off with remote works. Find full-time remote jobs in the US or Europe and live here in Thailand. Freelancing via good freelance site is also a good choice.
Just work online with italki. You can have many students. I’m a native speaker but your English is very advanced. It doesn’t hurt you’re pretty. Good luck

1. คุณจะอยู่ในไทยยาวๆยังไง คุณจะทำ Visa แบบไหนยังไงให้อยู่ได้แบบที่คุณต้องการ แต่ผมก็คาดคุณคงเริมต้นด้วยการเรียนภาษาเพื่อ ขอวีซ่าเพื่อการศึกษาในไทยไปก่อน และหลังจากนั้นล่ะครับ
2. การจะหางานทำถ้าคุณมีวุฒิการศึกษา เช่นจบปริญญาตรี ก็อาจข่วยส่งเสริมให้คุณหาโอกาสได้เพิ่มมากขึ้น (ปล. คุณไม่ลองหาทางเรียน ป.ตรี ที่เดิมให้จบ โดยเรียนแบบออนไลน์ได้ไหม ถ้าไม่ได้ ก็ลองหาข้อมูลว่า มีมหาลัยในไทยที่สามารถโอนย้านหน่วยกิจที่คุณได้เรียนไปแล้วจากมหาลัยเดิม มายังมหาลัยใหม่ที่คุณจะเรียนต่อในไทย เพื่อลดระยะเวลาในการเรียน ต่อของคุณนะ

3. ทางด้านวัฒนธรรม อาจต้องมีการปรับตัว เพราะการมาอาศัยต้องอยู่ในสังคมจริงแบบยาวๆนานๆ กับ การมาเป็นนักท่องเที่ยว มันก็ต่างกัน เพราะการมาอาศัยอยู่ คุณอาจจะต้องยอมรับกับ สถานะการณ์บางอย่างด้วยเช่นกัน เช่น สังคมไทยจะประนีประนอม มากๆ จนบางครั้งบางเรื่อง ถ้าเป็นต่างประเทศอาจจะไม่สามารถยอมรับได้ แต่ถ้าคุณมาอาศัยในไทย คุณก็ต้องปรับตัวและยอมรับเรื่องหรือสิ่งเหล่านั้นให้ได้นะครับ แบบนี้เป็นต้น

ก่อนอื่นถ้าคุณคิดว่า คนพื้นที่ ในกรุงเทพปฎิบัติต่อคุณเหมือนนักท่องเที่ยว ผมขอให้คุณหัดพูดภาษาไทยให้มาก 1.ในเมื่อคุณคิดจะอยู่นี้อยู่แล้ว 2. คนไทยพื้นที่เห็นคุณพูดไทย อาจจะไม่ชัด หรือฟังไม่ได้ประโยค แต่คนไทยคนนั้นเข้าจะเข้าใจทันที ว่าคุณ มาเที่ยวไทยบ่อย หรืออาจจะเข้าใจว่าคุณอาศัยอยู่กรุงเทพ
สิ่งที่คุณจะได้คือ ไม่มีการโก้งราคาต่อคุณ หรือเรียกเงิน เกินราคา เพราะ การสื่อสารภาษาท้องถิ่นหมายถึงคุณ เป็นคนท้องถิ่น หรืออาจมีเพื่อนเป็นคนไทย ซึ่ง การโก้งราคา หรือปฎิบัติต่อคุณ การเอารัดเอาเปรียบคุณเขาจะไม่กล้าทำ ลองฝึกพูดภาษาไทยดูนะครับ คุณจะเห็นการเปลี่ยนแปลงไหม แล้วกลับมาตอบผมด้วยนะครับ

ปกติคนไทยก็ไม่เอารัดเอาเปรียบนักท่องเที่ยวต่างชาติอยู่แล้วครับเพราะคนไทยก็เกลียดพฤติกรรมแบบนี้เหมือนกัน แต่ก็คงปฏิเสธไม่ได้ว่ามีคนที่ทำแบบนั้นอยู่จริงๆ ซึ่งก็คงจะมีเหมือนกันทุกที่บนโลกแหล่ะ ค่อยๆเรียนรู้วิธีหลบเลี่ยงคนพวกนี้ไว้ต่อไปก็ไม่มีปัญหาแล้วครับ

It's my dream, I'm living in a small city in Brazil, but I really want to move to Thailand and make videos on UA-cam, I went to Malta to learn English, and currently, I'm planning my travel to Thailand and other Asian countries. Next video if possible, could you tell us how much you paid to get the braces? I also need this, but I want to move, so maybe it is better I get it in my new country. I wish you the best to you.

I was born in the NorthEastern. I decided to study in the university in BKK because it is a city in the dream of all Thai children.
I went to BKK when 18 years old, studied and worked until I am 46.
Then I retired, came back to my hometown. Enjoying slow life here now.
Surely, I love BKK and my hometown. They are different but good as they have been.
I am quite confident that, when live in BKK for a long time. Fulfil your happiness, you will find out more in the up country. You will able to go to the other places for a long trip. Without a missing of BKK.

I'm Thai. This might kill your hope, but it'll be realistic comment. Thai law forbid foreigners from working in Thailand, period. Unless u have a special skill (Petroleum engineers, for example) up to the point where big company helps u with a work visa; then, that's an exception. This fact alone kills 99% of your chance getting a job in Thailand already. The rest would be teaching Eng. But u're not native speaker, your chance is becoming more doom. Your only chance is remote jobs, but of course, everybody wants to do that. So, u have to make yourself distinct from others. .... What I wanna say is you're not the 1st one who is so hyped up at the beginning of the moving process. Many had done it before u. After they faced the harsh reality that getting a job in Thailand is next to impossible. At the end, the have left. I could see u move out from Thailand soon. Sorry that I have to say that. The question is can u try again and make your next move successful? Of course, u can. But your source of income has to be from foreign countries. Now u know the answer. So pls enjoy the rest of your 6 months here in BKK. Go back home (or other countries), develop the necessary skills for u to sustainably make money remotely.
