You are such an inspiration to me. Being 74, one falls into the rabbit hole of "how appropriate " is this to wear. You throw that out the window and say "go for it". I'm so glad I found your channel❤. You are a very talented designer. I would love to see you do your own runway on your channel😊😊
I think I liked the Balmain segment the most. The pear skirt gave the look of something made with vintage bedsheets or tablecloths, and the some of the trenchcoat outfits had a kind of criss cross effect that I think could be very flattering. The hooded coats with contrasting fabric sleeves looked so cozy!
Right? I loved the crisscross on the coats- so flattering! But I am ~living~ for that pear skirt!!!! So many ideas, and I hope Angelina gives us an interpretation.
Dries van Noten is a master of colour! I loved Balmain too but you can see the influence of Schiaparelli all over (allege surreal pieces, the use of metal, the exaggerated silhouette)
Congrats on the book! I’ll be purchasing for a youngin I know, WITH your signature! Sad that Dries Van Noten is retiring, the show felt like a quiet exit. Undercover has always had that diy vibe. Sashiko stitching on his sneakers was so dope. Loving your channel for years!! 💐
Thanks for sharing !! Im so excited. I have so many things that i can upcycle from my storage unit. I keeped most of my clothes from my 30s im 57 now lol. Life happened and i never had time to get rid of stuff. Funny thing is a lot of it is back in style. So im going to wear whats in stule and ipcyle what is not. Im going to go watch the shows up mentioned for inspiration.
Hi, thanks, i like these videos going through the collections. I'd love to upcycle a Cardigan, the one brown with spafkling fabric caught my eyes. 🤩 Also the jacquet in a saharian style with a crossed belt and a hood 😍🥰🤩
I love everytime you do this! I really draw inspiration too and I love the way you highlight what you do!!! Keep it up!!! Love FW Inspo by BlueprintDIY❤
Wow, you didn’t have Rokh this time… their show was amazing again.. but will definitively check undercover… the white pants/jeans… with the big white shirt over.. wow! love your show reviews with an view to upcycling… maybe do one one winter trends to upcycle in 2024 .. and yes to the fur bag ❤ please 😊
The Oscar TG bag is so beautfful. I have been looking for inspiring and unique ways to carry my laptop around and that would fit the bill for real. I was on Poshmark looking at leather portfolios without handles based on a bag I saw on another channel so a leather version would be soooooooooooo up my alley too.
No. I don't think I will be dressing like the models in that show. What are they offering to the Grandmothers of those models? The show was fun to watch. Thank you.
The balmain looks are straight out of star wars senate women looks especially the hoodie look .... like the black actress who plays Senator Tynnra Pamlo of Taris. Also a lot of women in the DUNE movies have the gold dress hoodie aesthetic. My nerdyness went directly to thinking these are looks we have seen in 20th century science fiction.
The first young lady is what I look like now. Head scarf came off in the middle of the night with a twist out that needs to be redone. I'm going to get it together. I'm more of a bag maker, so when you spoke on the bags, I'm like, now she's speaking my language. That red satin outfit with the thigh-high boots... yasss. I would like to see your take on the backward tuxedo. Now question, would cutouts on the thighs relive tightness? That's my problem area. I have an hour glass body and would prefer to get a better waist and alter the thigh area. Belts don't do it for me. I was getting Grace Jones from 007, with the hoods on. I fan girl screamed. I seen one bag I want to try to make. Challenge accepted. Can I get a signed hardback book?
Dont get why designers go for cheap methods like foil or flock prints on clothing…these kinds of prints do not last long and a lot of shirts go in the landfill because the print is wrinkled and ripped… never heard of screenprinting or DTG?

ONE WORD: BALMAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'M SCREAMING AT THE TOP OF MY LUNGS! OHMYGAWWD!! LOVE THIS!!!!!! THAT TRENCH COAT? I AM PALPATATING!!!!
Yesss!
I am not a big Runway Fashion lover, but that silver fringe dress really spoke to me.
I like the idea of taking a coat and adding new contrasting sleeves.
the long dangling straps attached to the cuffs of the jackets remind me of Edward scissor hands
I came here to say this! Total Edward vibes from the first runway series
Yes, same! It also makes me think of a character from Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
I always get excited when I see you've come out with an "upcycle the runway" video! This made my day.
I’m so glad you love it!
I would love to see you do the fur bag with straps and you can do them where it can be a big clutch bag . Thanks for all your inspirations

I loooove that fur bag. I can make that fur bag!

Love the video. Check out Dior Fall 2024. There's a white shirt with a cape style back that could totally be upcycled. Great inspo! Big Hugs

Well...in a word...interesting.
I really like the balmain silhouettes. Some of them seem to take inspiration from West African dress wear

Yesss, I was thinking of making a leather version as well!
@@BlueprintDIY With a ruffle or pleats? Is that overboard?
I've heard this cut - 10:22 - (longer at the sides, shorter front and back) called a sharkbite hem.
Thanks!
No. I don't think I will be dressing like the models in that show. What are they offering to the Grandmothers of those models? The show was fun to watch. Thank you.

I love seeing the really nipped in hourglass silhouette again. I’m soooo tired of boxy, shapeless clothes.

Yes, the bags and those thigh high boots were amazing! The hard back books come directly from Amazon to you so I don’t get a chance to sign.
The fur! The purse the jacket. But the trench styles. I thought those were out. Think again.
Me too, but I’m glad it’s not because I love a good trench.
