- Alright guys so this is the 4th zoom eyepiece that I'm reviewing but the 3rd that I would say should be an option for your first serious telescope eyepiece!
What makes the SVBONY 7-21mm Zoom special? It's the small size! Check out the video for all the details on how it performs optically!

Always enjoy the videos, Vlad! I’m new to astronomy, and you have been very helpful. Keep up the good work.
Welcome aboard! I assume you want in on the drawing? Vlad.
@@AVTAstro Sure! Toss my name in the hat. Thanks!
Done!
Always a great review and content. Interesting that the SVBONY is a hair better when it comes to being parfocal, yet no surprise the Baader is a tad better optically. Enter me as well! Thumbs up and keep up the great work.
Thanks for watching! Your in!
Just a message of support and congratulations on hitting the 2000 subscribers.
Great content, always interesting and always helpful. Thanks for doing what you do, and a pleasure communicating with you from time to time.
We find it particularly interesting as you often lean towards visual rather than photographic. When we photograph, we just use the phone adapter…… though sometimes that’s a struggle to line up. Do you find the same?
No need to enter me in the draw, very happy for someone else to get it, and wish you all the best 👍👍
Yup I'm more of a visual guy. I do enjoy astrophotography and EAA to but making content about it is not a real priority for me as there is just SOOOO much of it already here on youtube(an in reality the people that make it probably know way more about it than me anyhow).
Thanks for the kind words though and for letting someone else get a bit better chance to win the eyepiece.
I do enjoy your channel, Vlad. I'm getting back into astronomy after a 30 year hiatus and your practicle opinions and advice really help. Thanks for the opportunity to win an eyepiece.
Very cool, welcome back into the hobby! Your into the drawing!
wow 2k subscribers when filmed to now 3.6k Love the videos.
Glad you like the videos, thabks for the support!
Great video Vlad. Love how you give thoughtful , thorough and honest reviews of such a wide range of products. Enter me in the drawing please, looking forward to you next video.
Thanks for the feedback, your in👍
It has been several months since I had weather, And viewing condition that would allow me to get out and actually do some observing, The several months have been actually about fifteen months, We've had many , many weeks of beautiful weather during the day, Time the Sun goes to set.We get clouds , lots and lots of clouds.
Wow, sorry to hear that. Bummer! Maybe do some solar observing?
Looking at your fog issues makes me appreciate the desert, but it's June 22, 2022 and pretty soon I won't be able to see Mercury in the morning. Guess what our rainy season started and it has been cloudy for several mornings.
Count yourself lucky. Here in the NW we just had the wettest spring in recorded history. Almost no clear sky for like 3 months....!
@@AVTAstro Absolutely clear this morning at 3 am and I took off to Bortle 2 skies 30 miles away and watched all the planets including filming Mercury to stack later. Sorry about all your rain.
Great Comparison Vlad! Do Enter Me The Draw. I always Wanted a Zoom eyepiece, interested in seeing weather They are Gonna Be Worth it or not!
You got it! Thanks!
Hello.. I am in the process of grinding a 300 mm mirror with a focal length of 1850, but I also have two other telescopes that I use. what would interest me would be what is probably the better decision.. the SV Bony 135 or the 171 Bony, I would like to have at least a teleocular.
I'd personaly do the 8-24 version.
Been with you for quite some time now, and your content is great! No doubt has helped a lot of folks out there. I know this, because it did help me! I'm Vlad too by the way;)
P.s. don't count me in, I guess there are guys who need it more than I do. Just wanted to say thank you:)
Thanks for the positive feedback! Your the first Vlad(besides me) I have encountered that's into astronomy! Very cool!
svbony is on par with much more expensive equipment . i own some of their stuff and so far it beats mead and celestrons mid range by miles. highly recommend svbony for anyone on a budget.. im very happy with the brand i own the 10-30 eyepiece the 2x barlow the sv305 astro cam and a few of their filters...and adapters
Glad you think so. I have had my fair share of their gear and for the PRICE it is very nice! Let me know if you want into the drawing. Vlad.
I got the Celestron zoom. It is so hard to turn the zoom. My eyepiece screws will not hold it in place and it just turns without zooming. I am sending it back tomorrow. Is the SVBONY 8-24mm Zoom easier to turn?
Yes the one that I had was quite easy to turn.
Is Svbony 7-21 mm better than svbony 8-24 mm? How big difference between these eyepieces?
The 7-21mm is physically smaller but not as wide of a FOV. I'd pick the 8-24mm overall unless you really need the smaller size.
Cool review. Please review the Svbony 10-30mm zoom.
I will try to get my hands on one of those.
Please enter me in the drawing. I've often wondered how zoom eyepieces would perform, and your review was very helpful. Thank you!
Entered! Thanks!
Please enter me in your drawing. Bought a zoom based on your reviews. I usually end up watching your videos several times in order to pick up on all your information. Keep up the good. Thank you!
Awesome! Thank you! Your in the drawing!
Where can I get a tripod for my ETX 90MM?
Your best bet is Astromart or Cloudynights
Hey Vlad. I’m loving the zoom reviews. I was wandering if you could rate the zooms you have reviewed in order. Like 1 to 4 ( I think you’ve done 4 ). Im guessing the baader would be number 1, but I would like to know how you think the others stack up. Thanks.
Hi, yea the Baader is #1! After that I would choose the Svbony 8-24mm. The Celestron 8-24 and Svbony 7-21 are about tied(both kind of dim) and I would really choose what physical and zoom range you prefer. Hope this helps, Vlad.
@@AVTAstro Interesting. Thanks for that. That really helps. I already have the baader and the 7-21, so I might have the give the svbony 8-24mm a look. Thanks again Vlad!
very good vid Vlad, if my name comes give it to a person who just starting out .
Cool Joe, I appreciate it!
Nice review! Always curious about that zoom as well as their other products. I have their 32mm plossl. Using on a 102 mak. Way better than the kit eyepieces. Also rolled the dice on their newly released Achromat 90mm f5.5 marketed as a beginner scope. It impressed my newbie eyes..... keep going to 10k subs. Enjoying the content! Just subbed!
Thanks for the Sub! did you want to get in on the drawing?
@@AVTAstro yea! Put me in for the drawing. Thanks.
You got it!
@@AVTAstro cool!
Great video. Thank you.
Glad you liked it!
I enjoyed your review.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Another great feature seems to be finding the size of the eyepieces you want to add to your collection. Love your videos. Gimme an eyepiece. Lol. Or better yet a scope.
Lol, ill put you into the drawing and who knows maybe you will get an eyepiece!
Great review! How does it compared to the svbony 8-24mm zoom quality wise. Pls enter me in the draw. Thanks.
Entered! Quality wise they are similar. The optics are better on the 8-24mm though.
Subscribed to enter the drawing. I have been watching your videos anyway. I appreciate the content.
Awesome! Thank you! As long as folks find the content helpful and I have the time it will come!
Btw I always see ETX in the classifieds … what is all the hype about them …. Which model is considered good ?
They have awesome optics in the 90, 105, and 125, the mounts where the weak pint and plastic...
Please enter me in the drawing! Thanks for what you do!
You got it, your in!
great content as always Vlad, got the baader a few months ago after watching your vid, great eyepiece, please inter me in the draw
Glad to hear! Your got it, your in!
Hey Vlad another great video i thought id try my luck winning the eye piece but please be assured that ive followed you since you started and have sent comments before so please dont think im here only to win the e/p i mean yes it would be nice but either way i love your content. Cheers
Very cool, thanks for the support! I genuinely enjoy everyone's comments! Your in! The giveaway is just a bit of fun and hopefully will make someone's day!
I would like to enter the giveaway. My plan was to get a Baader to upgrade from the stock eyepieces my son and I use on a Z8, but $300+ purchase may not happen for some time. Really enjoy the content, although watching your videos makes me want a big APO refractor.
LOL at: "although watching your videos makes me want a big APO refractor". But you know what they say: "where there is a will there is a way"! I see a big APO in your future if that's something you put your mind to!
@@AVTAstro I've been considering either a 5 inch APO or 9.25 SCT in the future. I'm getting interested in EAA and solar. My family would be much more interested if they could see more detail faster, and solar would double the available viewing time. I appreciate the info in the articles I've read on your website. Good job and keep it up, Vlad
Hey I hope that you get your fam into astro! and thanks for the kind words, always appreciated!
Please enter me into the drawing. Thanks. Would make a nice birthday present for myself!
You're in! And happy birthday!

Mike you got it!
Hi Vlad please enter me in the give away ….. thank you for your Honest review !!! SVBONY seems to have good equipment for the price. …. I’ve been eyeing their ED binoculars / monoculars / spotting scopes …
Your in, thanks!
Hi Vlad! Please enter me in the giveaway.
Nice to ear your channel is getting some traction :D It's well deserved!
Your in, thanks👍
Interesting. Maybe someday you’ll make money!!!
Lol, maybe. I am monetized on youtube but the amount that I make at this point is enough to buy a coffee once in a while. There are obviously people that are on youtube that make money, but most of them are not making astronomy content. Just way too small of a niche. I do it just because I enjoy it!
@@AVTAstro , I know you do. That’s why I watch. Very informative ole buddy 😊

Yes, well known fact that I can't talk properly;)
@@AVTAstro All good my Astro Friend... I will keep watching your channel!! TY
Hey!
Hey Bill!
@@AVTAstro I may think wrong. I think get a eyepiece with a big FOV find obj and then put in zoom? Is that wrong thinking? TY
No i think you are 100% right. If you check out my video on building an eyepiece collection that's exactly what i talk about👍
