Because as I see it, Bieber is single handily one of the most privileged people on Earth. I mean you are literally calling someone that had stardom before they reached the age of 18. I'm not going to say stardom isn't hard, especially at a young age, because you could look at some child actors as an example. However, I will laugh in the face of anyone that considers Justin's life as a dark one. He is more than financially secure for the rest of his life, which is more than I could say for myself and everyone I know. I guarantee you, ask anyone that has actually had a "dark life" and they would be in Justin's position in a heartbeat. Besides, it's not like he's forced into his job, he could retire at any time, unless of course, he signed some sort of contract, but it beats the alternative.
Why is it called chasing fame when others call it towards a better quality of life? Some are satisfied with basic houses, basic cars, basic entertainment, and basic foods while others seek the best houses, best cars, best entertainment, and best food that society currently offers. When we dream so hard, we lose touch of our reality. It happens. It did to me.
