Love the song... love the way you play it... learned the basics of the intro from your skillful tutoring, now I'll have to put some soul into it... Thank you sò much... Greetings from Namibia, Africa
Hal. Just opened this again. Easy to follow, thanks. Hope you and the family are doing well. Nothing has changed here. Oh I still can't play worth a darn.
This was good! I am addicted to “I’ve always been crazy.” Could you provide a kick start!? Nobody anywhere in the whole trove of the dark web has a vid to help understand the fills the way Waylon played them. Is anything better than a Waylon fill? Please help!!
Quail Studios Guitar I appreciate the response - I’m sure you get requests all the time. He is certainly playing in A key like many Waylon songs. Tabs will tell you to capo 2 and play G, C/G, and D-shape A progression. Try that and hear his fills thru the progression. It is a groovy jam!! He does a lot of hammering on from A to C (I think?) on third string. So, not sure if the recorded track includes cowboy chords on capo 2nd fret or if he crafted some sort of shapes conducive to his twangy-bendy-hammers from standard tuning.
Really good teacher most people assume you already know how to do some things .but a good teacher shows how to do it all
