Shiori Osaki last year in grade 7 when it was the playoffs my school would play this song everyday until it was over! My teacher played this song from the morning until lunch!

Billy Martin was managing the Yankees when Dave Winfield hit and killed the seagull in 1983 (when Winfield was playing for the Yankees). The song came out in 1983 as well. :)

Just today, the Blue Jays radio announcers on today's spring training game (Toronto vs. the Philadelphia Phillies in Clearwater, Florida) mentioned that very incident when several seagulls landed in the outfield during a brief thundershower at today's game! I loved Dave Winfield! Do you remember, back in 1992, when he publicly stated here in T.O., "WINFIELD WANTS NOISE!"------ World Series Memories!!!

We lived in Waterloo and would drive in for games. Also remember Jesse Barfield, Ernie Witt, Willie Upshaw, Llyod Moseby and George Bell. And loved Cito. Ah...the glory days...a whole decade of glory days really. Nothing was the same after the strike in '94. Thanks for the walk down memory lane :)
