You nailed it in a couple of minutes! Thank you so much for squeezing it to the major points. It answered all my questions... Staying with Woocommerce so far :) Good luck with your channel and business!
I have watched different video's on comparison Shopify versus Woocommerce and this video goes into pros and cons that are overlooked by other video's and answers some questions I have about the two platforms. It definitely helps me to make the decision. Thank you!
I was having anxiety, but I see clearly which eCommerce company I need to decide one. I will be reaching out for that free consultation. I think that would help so much
Man I'm sorry to admit I skipped straight to the end as I'm supposed to be winding down for bed and this is the third "vs" video I've watched in a row! But even so that was a great delivery and great point you made at the end, they're both tools. I'm finally getting back into ecom after 4-5 years, and seeing new faces in the niches, you well and truly know your s**t, subbed!
A fantastic video. Ironically, you hit the nail on the head in the very last section in which you talk about the platforms "only" being the tool. I am still at the stage of "bells and whistles" and pretending that these will sell my product rather that blood sweat and tears....... and a tool of course! Very many thanks.
I've been having a terrible time with square online, and now making the decision between these two platforms. This video was super helpful, thank you so much!
Thank you, this was very helpful and informative and easy to listen! I tried to be lazy and bought the Shopify starter plan for 1 dollar, but this actually made me do some work and build the store on my website since I already have it...I just wanted the easier way but my gut feeling agrees that harder way is most of the time a better way...
Thanks, I’m an aspiring freelance developer looking to niche down and decided on e-commerce and therefore woo commerce. However it’s been daunting to wrap my head around why people would choose me instead of just using a shopify app. Basically if they take a maintenance plan with me they can save money hand over fist with none of the extra “Wordpress responsibilities” rather than using shopify.
Hello, is everything ok? I'm starting out in the Print On Demand market, where I need a product page to accommodate customizations, such as color selection, font selection and a field for the person to write so we can customize, what would be better or more appropriate? Do both meet this demand? I would like the page to look similar to Etsy's custom products page
One of the things that was not mentioned was the fact that if you choose to use Shopify for your e-commerce platform you're essentially stuck if they suddenly decide to up their charges significantly. If $30 a month suddenly becomes $40 what are you going to do then? And the same goes for their other fees.
I doubt most high revenue Shopify stores are that concerned about that increase in price. Many of the ones we consult with could pay that with one sale.
They can't increase your price if you already paid for a yearly plan. But I know what you mean. I guess if it increases, you can pay the extra amount or switch to wordpress, etc.
This helped a lot! I have been between shopify as the crowd favorite but WOO because well I am not technologically or web building challenged .... Woo is my choice! Thanks!
Are the addons necessary with woocomerce? I downloaded the plug-in and in the walkthrough it recommended a lot like woocomerce tax, google ads, jet pack etc
I'm going woo w shopify bolt on. Want to sync w social shops and have shop pay button. It wa hard to figure out but there's a plugin for it. Not many Deva know about it. Found 2 out of 50 lol.
Shopify wins it for me, I find that it's more user friendly. As for tips for raising a second child....the bathroom becomes your hiding place for time to yourself 😂 but having two kids means they spend time together more and get to learn from one another so it's a plus
Hi there! Thank you so much for the helpful video! I have a question I’m currently customizing my WooCommerce website locally using XAMPP. Do you recommend finishing all the customizations before hosting the site, or is it better to deploy the website first and make further changes after it's live? What’s the best approach to ensure a smooth transition and minimize potential issues?
While I do hear a lot of good things with shopify. I feel like they make it extremely complex to run your ads. It has to do-it-yourself system Which can make it complex on websites like wix everything is already made for you. So when you run ads, you don't run into any complications.
I’m not so tech savvy Woo Commerce seems like it may be cheaper but paying for somebody to give you tech support I imagine might level the playing field (unless you make allot of sales as Shopify takes 2.5% out of your sales on top of any payment plans like affirm) My concern would be the compatibility with updating plugins and troubleshooting problems. In general how frequent do issues like that arise on Woo Commerce? Are they difficult to solve if you don’t have any coding or tech knowledge?
Costs shouldn't be an issue if your business is profitable. My products and customer journey are complex. Lots of guiding, comparisons, education needed for my customers to make a decision. My competitors using headless shopify but that's like 2k a month. Ok ya those costs matter to me lol. Yes shopifys do rank but more people can SEO woo. Been researching like 6 months to get here. We will see how this all goes lol. Thanks for your videos ninja. Wait maybe I'm doing it wrong, bolting on shopify to woo. You said bolt woo/word on shopify. Back to the drawing board dammit!!
Also starting Wordpress and woocometce enforces your knowledge how the web works I don’t like the thought when the business takes ff the fees will pile up so I’ll sti ck with woocommerce. Support is also great if you get it from reputable plugins or themes with one theme click instal.
2:20 in and I have my answer. I'll pick open source over closed system any day, as long as it isn't CAD software
Haha

Looked down and saw this had 700 views. Was expecting a lot more. Thank you for the video it was very helpful :)

Shopify new price is actually 40 as of today1/12/23 if your on the monthly plan and 29 if your on the yearly plan.

You skipped '6. Security' :) Great video - thanks for the comparison!
Good call!

Thanks for the tips 😁 Hiding in the bathroom as I write this!
Thank you Ninja, nice work, I am new at e-commerc thank you for your review !

I found this so very helpful. Thank you so much!!!
You are so welcome! ♥

Thank you for sharing this video. I was waiting for you to talk about the security. Would've been helpful.

Lots to weigh up. We have our own website but contemplating if we should have something like Shopify as well..
Has this video helped you to feel more confident about going with Shopify?

Not shure if i missunderstood cuz if shopify own my site, I feel like it doesn't matter how good they are. That's a no go
Thank you for your great humour and info!
You're very welcome!
Still very useful. Thanks!
Glad to hear it!
Really good review. It makes perfect sense of the pros and cons.
Very helpful. Thank you!!!
Glad it was helpful!
I love your British accent! Would Ease of Use n Support be better if I go with Woo under Bluehost?
Great video. Amazing work. Thank you, sir.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Really good review 👏🏼

Glad it helped!
im a bit confused. What's the difference between Wordpress and woo commerce?
WooCommerce runs on WordPress. It's a plugin that adds ecommerce functionality to WordPress. :)
@@RyanRay14 thanks
You cannot phone Shopify, I repeat you cannot phone Shopify...
I have a direct phone line to Tobi Lütke (maybe)
Yes!!! It’s all Chat, Chat, Chat! Which takes freakin longer than phone talk with Shopify support! Frustrating!
I’m using shopify, within 5 min they are there to reply
amazing that was very helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
Dear Mrs.& Brother @ExposureNinja, if you're a single parent, my tip for raising a second child is to take quick baths or showers😉👍👍 💙
*Do you use Shopify or WooCommerce for your business?*
I think it depends on the clients wants and needs.
Excellent analysis.
I never heard of woo is that in America
They're global! We use WooCommerce for lots of the eCommerce stores that we build
