I love the aunt’s aristocratic accent 🤣 in the first few moments she is literally me when telling off younger family members! In the little prologue before the frame narrative begins, I see a little bit of myself in each of the five carriage members haha. And wow that was such a bitter tale. The amount of times I thought “I don’t like where this is going” was quite a lot…such an unfortunate ending and I hope those kids weren’t as traumatised as I definitely would’ve been if I was their age 💔 at first I was a little confused as of the cruel moral in universe, but then I took in the oxymoronic descriptions of Bertha’s goodness and assumed that the meddles were being worn due to her egotism rather than her being forced to wear them - Victorian/Renaissance tales also love their cautionary tales involving karma haha. Another key moment for me was when one of the sisters asked if Bertha “was pretty” which seriously got me set to feminist analysis mode regarding beauty standards and physiognomy particularly in the Victorian Era and how it affects women from youth - leave it to me to always come up with a feminist reading haha. Fantastic job with this reading, I will say that your spin on the female and/or child voices definitely adds to the comedic effect - I definitely always love hearing all of your fun voices within character driven narratives such as these! However, if you’re ever aspiring to endeavour in a reading that is more up the serious tone and would also happen to require any female and/or child voices, I am always happy to assist 💕 I will say though that your voices for middle aged to older women (similar to the aunt’s) are quite effective, in comedy or not!
This was a treat to see in my notifications, thank you so much! Delighted you enjoyed and got to take so much away from it, and the offer and encouragement are both appreciated!

Your attempts to voice act the female characters are hilarious, lol.
Thank you kindly; I try to follow the PurpleEyes principle of having fun when voicing characters my own voice clearly does NOT fit.
