I haven't been to that station since 2004 and in your video it looks just as crappy as I remember it. Its amazing that it's even I use. I guess this station is ignored because there isn't much foot traffic there, just like when I use to take it from 2002 to 2004, very few people were ever there.
Yeah the J/Z stations in lower Manhattan are really quiet, like I said this was a Friday evening too which is even wilder. Thank you for watching and do consider subscribing for more videos! :)
When ever they do budget cuts the first thing that gets cut is maintenance and cleaning. I worked for the City and I did get laid off when the cleaning budget was cut for a little while. When I look at other videos of subways from different countries, they put New York Cities Subway to Shame. Most are much cleaner.
Absolutely, having been to a few cities in Europe it really does put into perspective the decay happening at some NYC stations. Thank you for your insight and do consider subscribing for more videos!
This is why we need congestion pricing and more stop sign cameras... The fact that the transit system is beholden to 5% of NYC population who owns a car and people who drive into NYC from other states is insane
I think there's some truth in that, cleaning up the subways and thereby encouraging more people to take them over driving would help tremendously as well. Thank you for commenting! Do consider subscribing for more videos :)
You mean the Chambers Street station on the J train is the dirtiest subway station in Manhattan? And, oh, the Z train is not a real subway line, right?
I was at that station on Thursday night the smell of the urine was overwhelming it’s disgusting
Right! It's getting out of hand lol, thank you for watching and consider subscribing for more videos!
