I had no expectations walking into this movie. This is my fav Omen movie since the Original from 1976. I don't mind them changing the origin for Damien and adding the twin sister. I liked the motivation for why the Anti-Christ was created better here and Nell Tiger Fell (Margret) was amazing.
@@mattchamberlain3005 in the OG omen they said damiens real mother died during birth but they also kept it super vague and they never really show it or her or anything. Kinda gives this film some leeway with the lore
I liked this movie much more than Immaculate. Yes that was Charles Dance in the beginning, who played Tywin Lannister in GoT. Margaret was played by Nell Tiger Free who was also in GoT as Tywins granddaughter Marcela. That priest was Shaun's stepdad, actor Bill Nighy (and was also in Hot Fuzz )& lots of other stuff. Ralph Ineson (dude with the cool AF deep voice) was the dad in the Witch and will be the voice of Galactus in the new Fantastic Four movie. Great reaction ✌🏻
The musical score was one of my favorite parts of the movie. Mark Korven had some really big shoes to fill because Jerry Goldsmith’s music for the original is still one of the best soundtracks around. But I think he did a fantastic job with what he had to work with. Mark Korven was actually one of the reasons why I wanted to watch this film in the first place. I’m a fan of his work and was curious to see how he would handle The Omen. Glad he kept the main theme the same too! But needless to say, this movie surprised me. I’d say that demonic hand coming out of that woman’s vagina definitely shocked me. I remembering gasping out loud and said: “Um.. Excuse me?!” all the while hearing The Witch female vocals coming out of the speakers. That was fucking wild!
Thanks for the mention Rob. That made my day. Glad you enjoyed the film. Yeah Sam Neil played Damien in the 3rd film, great performance. As always great reaction.
The fact that this was a directorial debut blows my mind. Nell Tiger Free put in a shift and a half in this and that's before the Possession homage scene. Loved this. Cracking work as per usual man! Kill List is well worth a viewing if you have a hankering for more occult stuff.
10:13 Luz (the one with the blonde wig) is dressed exactly like Raffaella Carrá, the Italian singer that plays her two songs in the nightclub when Margaret and her were drinking and when Margaret watches Luz dance with the other guy
Your reaction to this movie is the best. Your mic was superb picking up the sounds I missed before. Her transformation was super creepy. Remember Carlita, and Margaret are partly demonic since their father is the jackel. Job well done.
Imo this was a better movie than ''Immaculate'' (with the gorgeous Sydney Sweeney), though I've only seen both movies only once, so maybe one day I've gotta watch them again, to give a real definitive opinion. Btw, too bad the Jackal plot twist in the original movie became a plot hole in this movie....
The score with the witching shouts is a call back to the film score to legendary 70s horror film Suspiria. In fact there are a lot of shots and stylistic choices that remind a lot of the films of Dario Argento like Deep Red, Suspiria and Inferno.
Hi rob, it was the final conflict the 3rd omen film that starred SAM NEIL out of Jurassic parks dr.Alan Grant. And yes this is a prequel hence the title The First Omen, and it’s about Damien’s mother.
Once you broke out that KitKat I had to have a bowl of birthday cake ice cream with sprinkles, chunks of pound cake and and icing ribbon running through it.
I have a movie recommendation for you to react to: BIGFOOT: THE LOST COAST TAPES (2012), another not very well known Found Footage style horror, but it's very interesting and with a surprising ending, you'll enjoy it.
hey Rob. As always, an entertaining reaction. Thumbs up! and just by the way, I think I'll give up recommending CLIMAX to you. Not that another year goes by... lol I actually wanted to draw your attention to GASPAR NOÉ. and I thought CLIMAX would be the perfect choice to get started. but maybe you would like to start with IRREVERSIBLE? But no matter how, the main thing is that you get to know the director and his extreme films. Greetings from Germany.
Hey rob, have you covered The exorcist and The entity and amityville horror and amityville 2: The possession. I will say when you do the Exorcist make sure it’s the Extended directors cut it has added scenes including the spider walk.

Hi Rob, this has been a long time coming 🙂 I said I will write to you and I procrastinated for so long. I want to recommend 'The Gift' (2015) to you. I always wanted to see a reaction to that film but noone ever did one and you always do horror films that most don't. I don't know if you watched it or not but I find it very underrated and think you will like it. I hope, I really do, you will give it a chance and watch it someday 🥲

In the original wasn’t it Damian’s mother dies giving birth?

Regardless, IT IS STILL CANON TO ME WITH A GOOD PLOT TWIST!
This movie was surprisingly fantastic! Renewed my interest in the Omen franchise.
Likewise!
Ralph Ineson played the father in The VVitch. His voice in like no other.
THATS why the voice sounded so familiar to me!
I thought he was also somewhere in Game of Thrones, but his character died pretty early on.
That’s it!
@@coyoteclockworkstudios3140 I haven't watched GOT, but he was in that. He has such a distinct look and voice...a fantastic actor.
He knocks Theon down after his speech when he took over Winterfell

A really good prequel love it, and it flows lovely into the original trilogy way way better than immaculate this is by far the better film.

Kill List is on deck! Thanks for watching Pete!

Absolutely
What a great movie!!
Great video!! Perfect weekend movie there’s a bunch of good scares in this one enjoy bro.
This movie soundtrack score was made by the same guy who made the witch 2015 score 😂
Once you broke out that KitKat I had to have a bowl of birthday cake ice cream with sprinkles, chunks of pound cake and and icing ribbon running through it.
Ayyy!

My fiance and I saw this shortly after the birth of our daughter.. it was a tough watch lol
lol I bet
Lol!! You actually covered your eyes at the birthing scene! 😂
This is one of the only couple of horror movies i gave a 10/10. Horror movies (or thriller movies) in my opinion are the hardest movies to rank.
It’s high up there for me. Great flick!
"It's all for you" that line has been tainted so now whenever i saw it accidentally i go, Damien...it's all for you damien lol
The Boat That Rocked!! Hilarious!!! Movie. If you can't react to it then you should definitely watch it on your own!!
You gotta watch the king of horrors [ Macabre 2009 ]
This film is brutal it’s a little bit like Inside 2007 but more strong
I’m down!
Great reaction and of course with the dope snacks. Hope you check out The Empty Man at some point.
I plan on it soon! 🤙🏻🤙🏻

Such a good horror movie…. I am tired of Hollywood bullshit and haven’t seen a horror movie like this for a while.
React to Sting 2024 ? A killer spider from outer space horror movie.
I’m down!
It def ups Immaculate but although the score was great, it was really the witch 2015 en maybe even barbarian rip off. I liked the movie tho overall
Please also react to a voodoo movie Spell (2020) tysm
Watch the sadness
It's been ages since you watched a disturbing film

The 2006 OMEN remake was totally forgettable, pretty sure they remade it just because how could you NOT have an Omen movie on 6/6/2006
