I think I have found the best inexpensive podcast microphone! This is the Behringer SL 75C dynamic microphone. This microphone sells for only $19 on B&H and $39 in Australia! I can't believe how great it sounds for voice and it really gives the Rode PodMic a run for its money.
In this video, I compare the Behringer SL 75C microphone to the Rode PodMic which is a much more expensive microphone. I am running the microphone directly into my Steinberg UR22MKII Sound card without any processing unless stated on screen in the video.
The build quality of the Behringer SL 75C is top-notch! I can highly recommend this microphone for anyone on a budget who wants high-quality voice audio on the cheap!
Full disclaimer: I purchased this microphone (and all of the gear in the video) at full price. None of this was free for the UA-cam channel. If you appreciate the work that goes into the video, please consider using the affiliate links. Thanks!

You convinced me to buy this mic, and I'm not sorry. I did make a couple of adjustments to it to make it sound better. I bought a Shure mic mount (A2WS). This improved the looks greatly, and it fits the Behringer clone perfectly. Then I cut up an old generic windscreen into two circles the size of the end of the Shure mic mount (windscreen), and stuffed them into the end of it. This improved the sound by adding a little extra base and diminishing the high end by a little. It also makes the mic almost totally impervious to plosives. This enabled me to get the mic very close to my mouth, which helped to increase the base a little further. As a result this mic sounds incredibly good. Additionally I ran it into a mixer, where I reduced the mid-range frequency significantly and increased the bass a bit. Sounds like a lot, but in the end I had a $35 investment that sounds to me as good as a $400 SM7b. I am well-satisfied. Thanks for the review!

So you basically put more foam in the A2WS' tip? Sounds like a cheap A81WS ;)

Great review I would like to a see a beta 58 shoot out! I have a Blue Encore 100 that I use now as my primary mic as it sounds brighter and doesn't feedback almost at all in live situations than my Beta 58 that I paid at the tim$150 compared to $99 for 2 mics deal blue does every November. Let's get a beta 58 shootout ASAP PLEASE!!!

I'm a big fan of Behringer. Yeah, they have some flops, and the quality control can be hit or miss, but you can NOT beat the price. I love LOVE the way my UMC1820 sounds, plus I have it expanded to 16 inputs with an ADA8200, which also sounds great for the price. And don't get me started on the preamps they had in their old line of Eurorack mixers. Those things sounds like butter, and they are DIRT cheap on the used market. I'm really itching to get my paws on some of their microphones

Great review, I'd definitely like to hear the behringer/Pyle comparison.
Other than looking nice I don't see the appeal of the Podmic. I've never heard a comparison where it sounds better than what it's being compared to.

This and the XM8500 are honestly killer microphones for the price. I generally prefer both over the originals they are copying. Especially the XM8500 vs the SM58.

Pretty solid. Back in the early days they were regarded as generally "unreliable" but now the QC seems great. I've had some Behringer products for 10 years and they still work including a DI box and a mixer. :-)

lucky for me, I was about to order an SM57 and found out about this before I actually did :-P. For $22, why not? Julian Krause has a guide for EQing this mic to sound exactly like the SM57, and if you add to it the changes he did to the SM57 to make it sound like an SM7B, you might be able to get a sub-$25 SM7B sound from this mic ;-).

sounds worst than the Pyle i also bought months before
Ialready sent it back to Amazon
